Chapter 9

(Okay y'all, so it's going to be a little mixed up. I wanted Casey to show before the whole Shredder ordeal. So, I'm starting it off where April hacks into Baxters iPad device, remember in the movie? Just go with it, and please don't get mad. I know it's all over the place, but I wanted to update and this idea of mine is actually motivating me :) Just stick with me.)

  -Aprils P.o.v-
5:00 am...

  "Gone! It's gone!"

    5:30 am...

   "Damnit! Where is it?!"

   6:00 am...

   "April!"

  6:10 am...

Shoving a pillow over my face may just block out the annoying outburst Andie was having.

      "APRIL!"

    And, I was proven... wrong.

I peer over at the clock, removing the pillow from my face.
6:19 am...

What the bloody hell could she possibly be doing?

I stretch my feet out to the floor and hoist myself up, though it being so early, and me being so tired, I felt like I weighed fifty million pounds.
Which ended me up to tumble out of my bedroom.

"Andie, what in Gods name could you be doing up this early on a Saturday?" I ask as I lean against her doorway.

Piles of clothes were stacked up in different areas, along with odd pairs of shoes. Some I've never even known that existed.

She looked over at me, her face sweaty and her cheeks flushed a light shade of pink, and said, "I'm going through a crisis..."

       I lifted a brow, "a crisis?"

She nodded. "Duh! Don't you understand English?!"

Before I could comment, she began rummaging through her closet once again.

For a deep, deep concern... and desperate attentions for sleep ... I walked up to her, placing my hand on her shoulder.

       "Andie," I spoke, "what's wrong?"

She sighed, turning herself around to look at me.

      "I..." She stopped.

     "Yeah...?"

"I have a crush on a turtle!" She yelled, but quickly covered up her mouth.

More sweat dripped down her forehead as her eyes widened.

I mean, I don't blame her. My eyes were popping out my head as well.

      "Okay, wait. You what?!"

She stopped digging through her stuff and hugged her knees to her chest. "I'm so embarrassed, Ape."

A small smile came to my face as I sat down in front of her. It almost felt as if she were my little sister.

"Andie, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Can I ask which turtle?"

Even though I already had an obvious answer who is was, I wanted her to admit it herself.

She looked up at me for a second, then looked back down into her lap.

"Raphael..." she mumbled, a heavier blush coming to her cheeks.

     Knew it.

"Okay, but why exactly are you digging through your things?"

She shrugged, "I wanted to look better."

I roll my eyes, taking her hands and hoisting us to our feet.

"Oh, Andie. What I've learned over the years of being a teenager, you don't need to make yourself look a certain way for a guy."

She smiled, and nodded, but her smile faded when she took a look at her room.

"Guess I did go a little bananas. But I still can't help but want him to think I'm beautiful. Every girl wants their crush to think they're stunning.."

"True, but Andie, Raphael will like you for who you are. Not what you look like. Though, if you want him to drool, I guess we can make you look a little nicer than usual for today." A smirk played at my lips as I had an idea.

This is what Andie needs. She never does anything nice for herself. She's always working to hard.

"But April, I can't. What about work?"

       I roll my eyes.
"Andie, it's Saturday, and you were the one rummaging through your stuff in their first place. Now let's go get you perked up. We meet the guys around ten am."

She agrees as I shove her into the bathroom to shower while I pick out her clothes. This is going to be fun...

    -Andie's p.o.v-

The first thought that came to mind was: what in the world did I get myself into?

I took another look at my roommates choice of clothes she picked out for me, and sighed. I can't pull this off, can I?

I first put on the shirt: a white tank top with stones and other designs.

I pulled my hair down my shoulders, studying my every flaw/ perfection.

Now onto the pants... oh hell...

I slide on the tight, all black leggings and pulled my shirt down over my my butt.

Huh, not to bad.

I apply just enough makeup and walk out, sliding on white converse to finish.

April clashed her hands together, smiling her wide smile. She took hold of my shoulders, her aquamarine eyes staring into my brown ones.

"You look perfect!" She exclaims, fixing some bits of my hair that sadly, was sticking up.

"You think so?" I ask, feeling just a rash bit more confident.

She chuckled, handing me my bag. "I'm not use to the insecure Andie."

I nodded, agreeing with her.

After five- thirty, more minutes of rambling and judging myself, it was time to go.

April calls Donnie as we head out of the apartment, letting him know we were on our way.

   Surprisingly it was raining.

April growled lowly to herself, holding her jacket over her head. Thunder erupted in the distance as rain rushed down, faster and faster.

We picked up our pace, rushing towards the closest alley way. Once we got there, April slid her jacket back on, and I slid my hood down.

Aprils hair was frizzy mess, mine, luckily, was just a little damp.

"It had to rain... just had to." April huffed, crossing her arms in a sassy manner.

I chuckle, rolling my eyes and faced towards the manhole covering.

Suddenly it starts shaking. April and I brought a smile to our faces as we see them jump up out of the hole, landing in a perfect stance.

If I did that, I would have fallen on my arse...

"Whoa April, nice hair." Mikey says, feeling the huge puff.

April smacks his hand away, rolling her eyes clearly annoyed. I on the other hand, I just laughed.

"So, any news on Slice and Dice?" I ask, referring to Shredder.

Leo steps forward, closer to me. "We found out that he was working with a man called Baxter Stockman."

    "Baxter Stockman?"

"He's a scientist at TCRI." Donnie added, answering my question.

"Is he a threat?" April asks, looking over at Leo.

He shakes his head. "Not that we assume."

"We thought that you and Andie could try to get some information off of him." Donnie said, but Raphael stepped up.

"Now wait a minute. We can't just have them go in there just like that. What if Baxter isn't what we thought?" Raphael asks, throwing his hands up at Leo.

"Raph, please. They will be fine. Right?" Leo looks over at me, waiting for my response.

"Yes. I'd love to get in some action!" I laugh, April smiling over at me.

"Classical Andie." She said as she combs through her hair with her fingers.

"But what if you get hurt?" Raph asks, shocking everyone from his change of tone.

"Dudes... does Raph have feelings...?" Mikey asks, his mouth held open wide.

I smile and walked over to Raph whose face was bright red. "Thanks for caring, Raph, but I'll be fine."

He sighs, rubbing the back of his neck nervously as I walk back over next to April.

It started to get warmer outside, the rain stopping. I slide off my hoodie and completely forgot that I had my whip lash outfit underneath that April picked out.

April smirks as she hints in the direction towards the guys. I looked over and see Raph with his mouth now opened wide, and the boys eyes widened.

"What? What's wrong? Do I have something on me?" I asked, a heat rushing up to my face.

"You look good, dudette! Are you going on a date later?" Mikey said, smiling his common wide smile.

My eyes slightly widen as I realized that I was a lot more dressed up than usual. No wonder...

Raphael growled, his mouth closing when Mikey mentioned me going on a date.

I shake my head. "Uh, n-no. I'm going on an... interview later." I lie, slightly looking over at Raph then back over to the ground.

"Well good luck. Hope you get the job." Leo said, adding a smile.

I felt bad for lying, but I'm kind of glad that I didn't come out and say I wanted to look nice for Raphael.

"Anyway... when do you want April and I to talk to Stockman?" I ask Leo, trying to change the subject.

     "Never..." Raph mumbled to himself.

I smile to myself, I liked him being overly protective.

"Later tonight. April and I already went over where he was, and what time he will be there." Donnie added.

I looked over at April who nodded, I did as well.

"Alright ninjas. Let's roll back. Call us when you get in position." Leo said to April. She nods in response and the three turtles: Mikey, Leo, and Donnie, enter back into the sewers.

April winks at me as she begins to walk back toward the apartment. I looked back and saw Raph walk over to me.

"It always ends up to it being just us to, huh?" I ask, slightly smirking.

He chuckles and nods. "Guess so," His expression changes, a small, concerned frown appears. "Ya know, I don't really want you to be getting in on the action."

I sigh, taking his hand into mine off of instinct.

"I'll be fine. Shredder went after me for a reason in the beginning. I want to help."

His nods, removing his hand from mine, and wraps his arms around my waist.

For what reason, I have no idea...

"So stubborn." He chuckles as I giggle. Which was something I never do.

"Can I ask you somethin'?" He asks.

     I nod. "Sure."

     "Will you-"

"Raph! Come on, man! Leo wants you!" Mikey shouts from the manhole opening, cutting off Raph.

He sighs as I chuckle, moving out of his grasp.

      "See you later?" I ask.

"You bet, princess." He says, smiling this time. Shocking I might say.

He disappears seconds later into the sewers as I turn around to walk back to the apartment.

      Wow... that just happened.

I blush as I walk back into my apartment room, seeing April pack a bag for us.

She smirks at me as I roll my eyes at her, a smile to my face.

"No questions. Let's just focus on tonight." I laugh as she nods, still holding a smirk to her face.

Guess it's true. I do have a big crush on a red-masked turtle...
