Chapter 13

        (Read all! This chapter is all in the movie!! Enjoy!!)

       "YOU'RE FIRED!"

         Everyone in the restaurant glanced over, their eyes lingering on  my boss screaming directly in front of my face as if she were a Sargant. All I could do was stand and watch, my heart pounding - ringing in my ears.

         "W-what?" I asked, flickering my eyes from the floor and up to meet her black shaded orbs.

         "Do you need me to spell it?! F. I. R. E. D! Leave now and don't you come back!"

         At this point, I couldn't respond. Reality hit me faster than a rushing bus when I had realized there were no way I would be able to afford my half of the rent without a job. It was even hard to afford groceries with the pay I was getting alone.

         I decided to listen, regardless of the urge to beg her to keep me. She wasn't budging and I was afraid that if I stayed any longer, she would end up throwing me out herself. As I walked back to the break room, where I kept my jacket and purse, I couldn't help but to wonder why she fired me for dropping (another) customers plate.

        In my defense, it wasn't all my fault.

       I asked my fellow co-worker for assistance, but she was too busy typing away on her phone. Perhaps, this job wasn't meant to work out in the long run. I could just find another job, therefore I wouldn't be homeless.

      April wouldn't allow it - me to be homeless, but it was up to our apartment owner and he made it clear that if I weren't able to make payment, I would be out by payment day. I just didn't know how to tell her.

        I pull my jacket closer to me as I stroll down the sidewalk, glancing down at my watch. My normal shift wouldn't be over for the next 3 hours. I had been working all day and she decided to fire me.

       A sigh leaves my lips as I turn into an alley way, my eyes flickering over to the manhole covering below my feet. Raphael had made it very clear the night I saw him last, 3 days ago, that I weren't aloud to be alone for safety purposes.

      I didn't want to be alone worrying about everything right now anyway.

      I bend down, picking up the manhole cover and sliding it over. I glance around, making sure there wasn't anyone watching me hop into the sewers. One, its illegal; two - it's just really odd.

      When I saw that the coast was clear, I quickly climb down the later, sliding the covering back over the hole. My nose scrunches when I smelt the repulsive scent of the sewers.

      April said I would get use to the smell, but after a month, it's still dreadful.

       For now on, I'm going to bring 3 bottles of febreeze.

     I made it to the bottom, my slippers squishing against the moist bottom. I pulled out my phone, shining the light out in front of me, making sure I didn't go the wrong way. Regardless of the bad morning, my mood still didn't change because I would see the turtles.

    I were still nervous to see their reaction, though.

    Laughter filled the tunnel as I walked closer to the light at the end, the air beginning to smell like a faint scent of pizza. My smile only widens when I heard a loud,

    "MIKEY!" It being caused by no other than my mutant- turtle- boyfriend, Raphael.

    It still amazed me that they were real, better yet dating one of them. I couldn't see a well-fulfilled life without them. We were all meant to meet and I'm starting to figure out that reason.

    I walk into the lair, my eyes flickering around the whole area. Michelangelo was playing a video game, though a smug look remained on his face as an slime-covered Raphael jogged into the bathroom, slamming the door shut.

   Leonardo was in the dojo meditating like usual. Donatello was grabbing a pop tart from the cabinet; I smiled to each sight, then making my presence known.

   "Hey, guys!" I shouted, though I didn't expect them to jump out of their skin.

    "Andie!" Mikey shouted, dropping his game controlling and pulling me into his embrace.

 "M-Mikey, I can't b-breath!"

"I just missed you so much! You were gone so long, dudette an-"

"Michelangelo, if ya flatten my girlfriend, I will turn ya' into roadkill." I heard Raphael speak, which made Michelangelo drop me quickly.

I re-adjust my shirt, then glance back up to Raphael who already had his arms snaked around my waist. My eyes studied his for a moment, but Leonardo asked a question which re-directed my attention.

      "Why are you here, Andie?"

       "Oh, right," I start, looking down at my shoes, "I got fired."

        "What?!" They all ask in sync.

        I run my hand through my hair, Raphael taking his arms off from around my waist. "All I did was drop a plate! My boss was so harsh, too. She made me feel like a complete idiot!"

         Mikey sighed, "Man, that's awful."

          "Please, that's not even the worse part," I mumbled to myself, only Raphael catching. "Anyway, any news on Shredder?"

          "Donnie figured out that they were searching for these parts to build an teleport device, though, what we found really interesting was-"

          "The purple ooze you and April got from TCRI, it's used to change humans into mutants." Donnie finished for Leo.

           I nod, taking in the information. My eyes flicker back up at Raphael, my hand reaching for his. I link it in mine, ignoring the comments from Michelangelo who had the biggest smirk on his lips. Raphael gives me a small smile, though it fades when Donatello gasps, rushing back into his lab-area. I chuckle to this.

     Ah, Donnie and his experiments...

           "Are we using the ooze to track down Beepop and Rocksteady?" I suddenly ask, looking over at Leo who nodded to my question.

            "We will run more details about it later tonight. Meanwhile, its turtle-time."

               I softly chortle when Leonardo rushes off, Mikey going straight over to his video game. However, Raphael tugged me over to his room. He sits down on his bed, before sitting down cross-legged and patting the spot next to him for me to sit.

              I take off my slippers, taking a seat and sitting in front of him, glancing at him with an curious expression.

              "I'm sorry you got fired, babe. They didn't hurt you, right?"

              I shake my head, looking down at my fingers. "No and it's okay. We have Shredder and everything of that sort to worry about anyway."

             I glance around his room, noticing a few comics spread out here and there, dumbbells to the side of his weight-lifting bench. I always loved Raphael's room, it were much like a regular teenagers room - only it being I the sewers

             A loud sigh leaves Raphael's lips, his arms going around my waist. He pulls me on to his lap, my legs cross-legged on top of his, as I stare into his hazel-green orbs. A small smile comes across my lips when he kissed my forehead, bringing ours together.

             "Shredder's problem may be important, but your life and how you are feelin' is important to me too. Tonight Donnie is suppose to track Beepop and Rocksteady's location and we will figure it out in the long run. Meanwhile, why don't ya tell me what's on your mind."

              My eyes flicker back down to my hands, contemplating many scenarios on how I would approach this gently. "Well, if I don't find a job ... I would be homeless."

               "Homeless? Babe, I won't allow that."

               I sighed, though Michelangelo walked in, his baby blue eyes filled with desperation. He gave me a small smile, but re-directed himself to Raphael. I stood up off his lap, looking back over to Mikey.

              "Donnie created a way to turn us human. I didn't believe it at first, but Donnie showed Leo it could really work. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. It gave me hope," Mikey spoke softly, sitting down on Raphael's bed, next to me. "Maybe we don't have to be stuck down here forever, you know?"

               Leonardo is hiding stuff from his own brothers now?  And wait, the turtles could be humans?

              "So Leo told Donnie to keep it a secret," Raphael starts, I could practically see the anger raiding off of his body. "From us?"

              "Raph, let's think of this rationally-"

              "Uh ... no hold on-" Michelangelo tried, but Raphael stood up.

              "Who does he think he is?" Raphael ignored Michelangelo's and I's pleads and jumps down to the ground out of his room, Michelangelo following. I went the opposite way, through the door since I was not about to break my legs from jumping down like they did.

              "No, wait! Hey, look, if you tell Leo that I told you that Donnie told him-" Michelangelo suddenly stops, "We will never finish our hip-hop Christmas album!"

              I run past the youngest turtle of the ninja clan, glancing at Leonardo who were doing some training as Raphael walked over. I knew this wouldn't be any better than their normal arguments; leading into the both of them fighting or Master Splinter grounding either of them.

             "Pop quiz. What are the three most important traits of a ninja?"

             "Speed," Leonardo started, smirking at Raphael before swinging his katanas. "Stealth," His actions remained the same, though before he could continue, Raphael jumped up on to the platform.

            "And honor. Where's the honor in keeping secrets from your brothers?"

           Leonardo looked away from him, "I don't know what you're talking about?"

           "So now you're adding lyin' to the list?" Raphael glares, his voice raising.

           "If you're referring to what Donnie told me about the purple ooze, it's called 'compartmentalization of information.' "

           Raphael got close to Leonardo's face, "If there's even a change that ooze could make us human..."

           "We're turtles, whether you like it or not."

           "It's not about what I like, it's about what people up there are willing to accept!"

           Leonardo glances over at me, then glares back up at Raphael. "Andie accepts you and true acceptance comes from within!"

           "Don't give me that fortune cookie muck! You should consult with us before you decide to do something like that!" Raphael shouted, ignoring my presence.

            I never realized how sensitive Raphael was about being human or in his mind ... "normal".

           "I consulted with Donnie and we decided-"

           "And what about Mikey? He didn't get a vote?"

           Donatello and Michelangelo ran over, though stopped when they saw their two brothers arguing again. I felt an arm rest around my shoulders, followed by a sigh. Due to the sound of the voice, I knew it were Mikey.

           "There's only one vote that counts in this family - mine!"

           I watched Raphael's face sink, more anger rising in his green orbs. Donatello stepped forward, attempting to grab Leo's attention.

           "Leo ... Leo, an alarm had just tripped at the Hayden Planetarium. We have to get uptown."

          Leonardo jumped down, "Gear up, Donnie. You two stay here!"

          He shoved Michelangelo and I out of the way before walking off. Raphael glared darts into the back of his head.

           Uhm, rude...

          "You're benching me?!"

          Leonardo turned around, throwing his arms in the air. "Call it what you want!"

          "What did I do?!" Mikey called out in reasoning, though they ignored. Donatello only whispered a small 'sorry' before heading off towards Leo.

          I looked down at my shoes, "Well, that went well."

          "The nerve this guy has! Big timing us?" Raphael starts, rushing off to grab his sais. I follow behind Mikey, trying to figure out what he were planning. Knowing Raphael and his anger, whatever was spinning in his mind weren't good.

         "He may be good with status quo, but that don't mean we can't make our own decisions!"

         "Yeah!" Michelangelo replied, though he seemed more confused than anything.

         "Raph just-" I tried, but he ignored, looking back over at Mikey.

         "Wait. Wait. What are you saying?"

         Raphael sighed, "It means that there's more where that purple ooze came from and we're gonna get our hands on it."

         "Yeah! I still don't know what you're saying."

       Raphael sighs again, though Mikey continues. "Are ... are we doing something?"

       I cross my arms over my chest, glaring at Raphael for ignoring every word that left my lips. He turned around, probably sensing my harsh glare into the back of head. A sigh left his lips as he walked back over, kneeling down before me as I sat on the edge of the couch.

      "I'm sorry, Andie. Normal is all I want and we won't be able to do anythin' - just ... support me on this, okay princess?"

       My eyes studied his for a moment and if it weren't for the hopeful glance in his eyes, I would have disagreed. However, he was my boyfriend and I would listen, regardless if I agreed.

       "What would you like me to do?"

~~~~~~~
   "So, you want us to break into police head quarters?" April asked, her arms crossed over her chest as she eyed Raphael suspiciously.
   "Uh ... yeah. Donnie said he needed more of the purple ooze to track down Bebop and Rocksteady. And Andie said the cops would've logged it into Evidence Control Room by now." Raphael spoke, April glancing over and me.
  "Okay, and Leo is good with this plan?"
  "Actually, I'm in charge on this one. Aint that right Mikey?"
  April eyed Raphael again, raising a brow as she looked over at Mikey.
  "Y-you're right." Mikey nervously said, looking back at April who didn't buy it at all. She glanced over at me, raising both her eyebrows.
   "Andie, you wouldn't lie to me, right?" She asked and I only looked away.
   I was a terrible liar and just about everyone knew this.
   "'Course not. They're right about Donnie tracking the ooze." I said, and it really wasn't a lie.
  April bought it, looking back over to Raphael.
  Raphael grabbed the blue-prints of Police Headquarters, placing them on the table. "Look, so we can take the elevator shafts and vents. We need you two to stay on ground."
   "Whoa. I can't just walk right into Police Headquarters." Casey nervously said, stopping Raphael from his sentence.
    "What are you, chicken?" Raphael asked, rolling his eyes.
    "Hey! Who are you calling chicken, turtle?" Casey shouts in defense, now I were rolling my eyes.
     Two hotheads arguing, this will end wonderfully.
     "Look, do you want to find Bebop and Rocksteady or not?"
     Casey was about to respond, but he stopped as if he were contemplating whether he should do what Raphael says or not.
      "So we're breaking into Police Headquarters."
      April gave him a confused look as Casey sat back down. She glanced over at me, though before she could say anything, Raphael continued.
      "We got one last boondoggle. We need to find someone to sneak you guys past security checkpoint. Only plan I got so far. Maybe a tad less than appetizing."
       I furrowed my eye brows when he said the last sentence, though gasp when I saw Mikey try to put a few slices of pizza in his mouth.
    ."Mikey, you're going to choke."
     He only shrugged, "Oh, we going somewhere?"
~~~~~~

    I was on my way back to the apartment with April because she forgot her purse. April was head-strong about going no where without her most valuable position - Lewy. Lewy was her purse and yes, she named it.

    "So, Andie," April started as we walked into our apartment door, "Do you remember Vern? He was my camera man when we worked together last year?"

    I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to remember the camera --

    "Oh! That guy who had a crush on you? He ... he is now Vern the 'falcon' or whatever." I say, a chuckle leaving my lips.

     I remember tagging along with April to one of her previews for Channel 6. She were doing this  awkward exercise with this fitness trainer, though I thought it was rather funny.

    She told me a bit ago that he only took credit for taking down Shredder the first time because the turtles weren't aloud to be shown. Which is understandable -- no one would accept the fact there were mutants in the city. People are too quick to judge.

    "Well, now that Vern is all popular, he will be helping us. Oh and I would get changed into something comfortable." April says before entering her bedroom.

    I nod in response, slightly confused by her command, but went into my room to pick something more reasonable.

    What would I wear to break into Police Headquarters?

    This is just crazy.

     I set my bag on my bed, sliding off my slippers and walking over to my closet. I grad a baggy sweater off of my hanger, taking off my pervious shirt and sliding that on over top. As for my pants, black yoga pants work wonderfully. They're really comfortable as well.

      I slide on my Nike tennis shoes before throwing my hair into half up half down style, then walking out of my room and into the kitchen to grab some water bottles. I shove a few into my purse, glancing over at April who had just walked out of her bedroom.

     "You ready?" I asked her, she nodding in response.

     And we were off.

~~~~~
      I felt completely under dressed for the party we were walking into. April, however, walked though with extreme confident you could practically feel it raiding off of her body. My eyes flicker over to the man who had his arm wrapped an arm around this girl who looked as if she could me a model. I rolled my eyes to this, he didn't even deserve all this fame.
     Well, maybe a bit since he did take a bullet for my best friend.
     "Vern!" April yells, though he attempted to ignore. "VERN!"
     Finally, we approach him. Carmelo Anthony sitting at the table, giving Vern a 'what did you do' type look.
      "We need to go and uh, bring that key to the city with you."
      I glared at the brunette who was glaring at April for talking to Vern, though only chuckled to Vern's dumbfounded look spreading across his face.
    "I think you need to go." Carmelo spoke, raising his eye brows at Vern who glanced at me.
    "Yep."
    Vern and I eventually caught up to April who was turning into an alley way where Casey, Raphael, and Michelangelo were waiting for us.
    "Unbelievable. I mean your jealousy knows no limits. And who is this young girl?"
     Young girl? I'm 18, gosh.
   "Andie, my roommate, remember? And we need your help."
   "We, who's we?"
   Suddenly, Raphael jumped down, making Vern jump back. I only chuckled as Raphael walked over, his eyes landing on me.
    "Well, well, well, if aint it the prince of the city? Oh, and hey princess." Raphael smirked, kissing the top of my head before turning back to Vern who gave me a weird look.
    "You know what? Give me a break, Raph. You're the one who told me to take credit for Shredder in the first place. And now, in light of the face he is who knows where, I am starting to have profound regrets about our arrangement." Vern spoke, backing up each time as Raphael got closer.
    Casey stepped forward, his arms crossed across his chest. "So, are we just gonna stand here and talk or...?"
    Verns eyes widen, "Who's this guy?"
    Mikey jumps in, "Total loser, bro. I mean, nice enough fella, if you like guys who can't even bench press .. boom!"
    "Or fill-out a T-shirt." Vern snagged on, he and Michelangelo fist-bumping.
    "Vern, he's part of the plan." I spoke, he glancing over at me.
    "Wait, you are dating ... dating a turtle? You?"
    I crossed my arms over my chest, "Why is that hard to belive?"
   "Well, I expected you to be with someone like ... baby t-shirts over here." Vern says, pointing to Casey.
    I rolled my eyes, looking back at Raphael who was glaring darts at Casey.
    "Well Raphael is better than any ol' human." I smirked, standing up on my tipi toes to press a supple kiss on his cheek.
    "Can we stay on topic please? Vern?" April asked, her arms now crossed, clearly annoyed.
     Vern sighed, "Okay, what plan?"
     "The plan to break into Police Headquarters."
     "What?" Vern asked in disbelief.
     "We need to find Shredder."
     " 'We'? No, no, no, no, we're not doing this... Listen, I'd love to help you guys out, but I can't,"
     I sigh, kicking a rock next to my shoe. "Too busy to save New York, Vern?"
     "I got concert tickets to a lunch." Vern finished, giving me a side glare.
     "Sweet key," Mikey starts, grabbing Vern's key, "Does it go to something?"
     Vern shoves him off, "No, it's just the city."
     I look back at Raphael, making sure he was behind me before I rest my back against his plastron. I could tell by the look on Aprils face she were annoyed with this conversation as much as I was.
    "Vern, as the resident new guy in this band of freaky misfits, do yourself a favor, and just roll with it." Casey spoke, taking a few steps towards a slightly concerned Vern.
    "Hey, new guy, all I do is roll with it. I've been rolling with it since you were wearing baby t-shirts because you were a baby."
    Raphael clearly got annoyed with Vern since he gently set me to the side and aimed the bottom of his sai to his chest. "Police Headquarters, thirty minutes. Come on, Andie."
    "Bye, Vernie." I smirk, following closely behind Raphael.
    Ah, what fun this will be.
~~~~~

         Casey, April and I walked across the street towards PQ as Vern played his part on distracting the police. We walked into the doors, Casey holding one for April and I as we hurried through while Vern managed to get a picture with them. T

        We walk up to the entrance, the lady asking for our cards before walking in. I glanced at April as she scanned each of our cards, the machine hesitating.

       Come on, boys.

       I smiled to myself when the computer accepted it. We walked though, down the hall way and to the left. My gaze flickered over to a women and her assistant walking down the steps, claiming she had a meeting in 10 minutes.

     Casey quickly turned around, walking forward in front of April and I as we walked backwards. Casey sighed due to us being unnoticed, then we started walking down the hallway again. We turned right, walking down another hallway.

      I walked under the vent, catching the card Mikey dropped through.

     "Cowabunga." I said, swiped the card.

     However, I gaped when there were two foot clan ninjas with the purple ooze running through, flipping over our heads. I glanced at April, though we took off running after them after April pulled the fire-alarm.

      Casey, April, and I bolted through after them, watching as the Foot members knocked down some police officers, books and glass parts shattering as we followed. My eyes widen when the two men in black through bombs, causing a high-pitched noise to echo out of them.

     My heart stopped when I heard more glass shatter, followed by police officers yelling and Raphael.

    "FREEZE! DON'T MOVE!"

     I looked over at April, grabbing her hand. "T-they must have showed themselves! Oh, gosh, April they'll get  shot!"

    She had the same worried expression as we bolted over, running in front of the turtles with our hands in the air.

    "No, no, no, don't shoot!" I yell, standing in front of Raphael.

    I turned back around, looking at Raphael. He gave me an apologetic look, though I ignired.

   "Go. Go now!" I shout, and they didn't hesitate to leave.

    The police officers came over, placing us on our knees as they hand-cuffed us. I rolled my eyes, loving how all of this was going. Note my sarcasm.

    "Get to the ground slowly, get down!" An officer shouted.

    "Jones, you've got to be kidding me." The blonde haired lady spoke.

    I glanced over at Casey who only sighed.

   "Put these three in holding. Jade, what we just saw stays in the department. No one needs to know."

    I felt a tug at my writs, though allowed them to take us back. I looked over at April, she giving me an look that told me not to worry, but boy was I worrying. Worry about my turtle in red.

 ~~~~
    Raphael
      "It is all over the police scanner, they are hunting you. What happened up there?" Splinter asked as we walked in, though my thoughts were drifting back to Andie and the look she had on her face. Pure guilt was all I felt.
    "Tell him, Raph! Tell him how you broke rank and got us all exposed!" Leonardo shouted, shoving past me, "And for the most selfish reason!"
    "The Foot were going to get their hands on it!"  I shouted in defensive, even though I knew Leonardo was right.
    "You didn't know that!"
    "Stealing from Police Headquarters... there's no scenario where you wouldn't get caught!" Donatello shouted, throwing his hands up at me.
     "Maybe if you hadn't lied to your own flesh and blood!" I yelled back, glaring at Leonardo.
     "Oh wait. The way you lied to Andie and April? Now your own girlfriend is taking the fault for your mess!" Leonardo shouted, his face inches from mine.
  I realized he was right, turning around and squeezing my eyes shut. I am a terrible boyfriend.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~

    Andie

        We were in holding for the last hour, the blonde lady wouldn't stop calling my boyfriend and his brothers monsters.

        "They're not monsters!"  I shout, gripping my hair in my hands.

       "The only real monsters in this city is Shredder and the two mutants he's created." April finished, staring directly into the women's eyes..

       "Bebop and Rocksteady." Casey added.

      "If you think anything coming out of your mouth is gonna add to her credibility, you're sorely mistaken."

      "Shredder mutated them with the help of Baxter Stockman, that's actually who you need to go see." I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

     "Funny you should mention Dr. Stockman because we just finished analyzing some security footage from TCRI that he gave us."  She said, pointing the controller at the t.v.

    "Great." April said, though the blonde's response had me confused.

   "And look who's on it."

   We glance back, watching April and I race over towards the mutagen, then running off as if we stole it. I gasp, seeing that everything that originally happened was completely gone.

    "That's not what happened. That footage has been altered, it's been edited." April spoke, attempting to reason with the female police officer.

    "We checked its authenticity, it's clean."

    "I want a phone call." April demanded, her eyes stern.

     I nod, agreeing that she should. I mean, we shouldn't be saying anything to this women without a lawyer at our backs, if there would be charge. Knowing the drama she had with Casey, she wasn't going to let us go easily.

    "I hate to break it to you, but all the phone calls have been shutdown on account of monsters breaking into our station house."

    I leaned closer, a cold-stare directly aimed at her. "Well, I hate to break it to you, but legally she's is entitled to a phone call."

   "Tell me where they are."

   "I don't know," I lied, "and if I did, I wouldn't tell you. I don't wouldn't rat out my boyfriend and his brothers."

    "Chief, the turtles aren't the one's you should be chasing."

      My eyes wonder around the room, ignoring the hard-stare the police-lady were giving Casey, April, and I. I was only worried about Raphael at this point, knowing he and his brother would be tracking down Bebob and Rocksteady by now. It had been another two hours of her entreating us, though we answered with the same responses as last time.

     She deiced to give us a "break" before she would come back. Meanwhile, I laid my head on Casey's shoulder.

     "Do you think she'll believe us?" I randomly asked, my eyes not leaving the clock on the wall.

    "I doubt it. She hates me, which makes you two in a bad position."  Casey spoke, a sigh leaving his lips.

   "IF we go to jail, then who would help the turtles with Shredder?"

   I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, "Andie, calm down. We will figure this out." I heard April say, though before I could respond, the police-lady walks back into the room.

    I sat my head back up, sitting up straight to attempt to not look sloppy.

   "If you're gonna press charges, just press charges." April spoke as Casey stood up, walking over behind her chair.

   "And you still owe her a phone call."

  "I don't owe anybody anything, until you tell me where those turtle-things came from."

  "From New Hampshire?" Casey spoke sarcastically.

  "Wow, you're even a bigger loser than I thought."  She spoke, then she walked back out.

   "Don't worry about her, Casey. She's just trying to get under your skin."  April said, picking at her finger nails.

    Casey shook his head, turning around. "Nah, she right. Been hearing that my whole life. You know, I've only really had one goal. I wanted to make detective in the NYC Police department. I wanted to put criminals away, not just keep them in cages. But working Corrections, you do learn 2 good things. 1, justice comes in all shapes and sized, and two, its way easier to pick a cops pockets than you might think."

    I smile widely when Casey throws the phone over to April, she catching it without ease. He told her to make her call, and which she did. I sat up on the table, tuning in to her conversation.

   "Vern-"

  "O'Neil..." I heard him say. I could practically picture the smirk on his lips, though my eyebrows furrow when I heard a hissing sound come from the other line.

   "I need you to... what is that sound?"

   "Just a little side venture. Falcon breath. Turns out people are willing to pay $200 bucks a pop to bag my hot air."

   I made a gross face as April said, "Okay look, forget that I asked,"

  "Andie, Casey and I are in police custody."

   Vern chuckled, "Shocking! Why would they want to question you? I mean just because you broke into their headquarters!" He sarcastically put out.

   "Vern, look, I've got bigger problems than myself right now, okay?  Baxtor Stock man doctored the footage at TCRI, but I'm betting that there's some secondary feet that will show he's been working with Shredder and that they turned Bebop and Rocksteady into mutants."

   "Look, uh, what do you want from me?"

   "I want you to be the hero the whole city thinks you are."

~~~~~~
         "Let them go," The police lady spoke as we walked up, Vern standing off to the side. "Thank you, the Falcon."  She rolled her eyes at his name, though stopped when Casey ran after her.
       "Uh... Chief, you might need this."
       "Well played." She spoke, than walked off.
       I looked over at Vern, lightly punching his shoulder. "Nice lookin' out."
      "Anytime."
      Suddenly, the ground began to shake. My eyes widen when muffled explosions were heard in the distance. April and I walked up to the window, glancing outside to see what were causing the commotion.
        "Holy shi-"
        I stopped when I moved my hand to cover my mouth, my heart racing against my ribs when I saw the huge portal form in the sky. Shredder actually did it. Wonderful, we were all going to get eaten by aliens or some crap.
      "We need to get the guys."
~~~~~~

       "Are you sure they're coming?" Chief asked, she glancing at the manhole in the alley way way. I glanced up at the police officers surrounding the area, their PD truck covering the entrance so no one would see. We called the turtles to work together with the police, it were the only thing that we could do.

     "They're coming." I spoke, my heart still racing against my chest as I saw some parts from the portal fly by.

     Slowly, I watched the manhole coverings open up and out came the turtles. A small smile spreads across my lips when I saw Raphael, and I  couldn't help myself to the edge.

     I raced over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. His arms go around my waist, though our hug was just as short as it started. The turtles placed their hands in the air when the sound of the gun click went off.

    I gave the blonde-officer a pleading look, which made her place her hand up.

   "Hold your fire." She spoke, the officers lowering their guns. "What are you?"

   "Not really into labels." Michelangelo commented.

   Raphael's hand wraps around my waist, pulling me closer to his side. I smiled up at him, though glanced back over to the chief when I heard her chuckle nervously.

   "Some call us freaks. Monsters."  Leonardo added.

  "Let's just say we're four brothers from New York who hate bullies and love this city." Raphael spoke, without worry in his voice.

  "And right now, we're the cities best hope." Donatello pointed out.

  "Huh," she chuckled, "Why should I believe you?"

  "You don't have to take it from us. Take it from him." Leonardo pointed to Vern who glanced up from the ground, his eyes widening.

  "Go ahead, Vern. Tell her about the arrangement." April spoke, though Vern didn't look like he wanted to agree.

   "What arrangement?" He asked, though Raphael cracked his knuckles in a daring way, which made Vern change his mind. "O-oh, that arrangement. Look, the Falcon is still the Falcon, but I just may have gotten by with help from my friends. These four are the one's who took Shredder down the first time. I was kind of more of a wingman."

   "We've been doing our part to protect this city, from the shadows."  Leonardo spoke, though all of us jumped when more parts started flying by.

   "And we think we have something to offer!" Leonardo continued.

   "We're gonna need strategy." Raphael spoke, placing his hand in.

   "Instinct." Leonardo was next.

   "Logic." Next was Mikey.

   "And boatloads of heart!" Donnie was last before they lifted their hands in the air.

   Raphael turned over to me, giving me one of his smiles I melt for.

   "Forgive me?" He asked, wrapping his arms around my waist.

   "There's nothing to forgive. Now, let's go get that alien, yeah?"

    "Let's do this."
