Louis peeked through the window of his car, waiting for something suspicious to happen.
He saw some kids playing by the house a few feet from James'.
"You haven't learnt anything from the book I gave you, have you?" Louis jumped in fright, and rolled his eyes in annoyance once he saw that it was Harry on the other side of the car.
"Haz, you can not do that!" He scolded him, breathing hard and holding onto his chest.
"Sorry, mate." He apologises, and opened the car door and hopped in.
"What are you doing here? Are you following me or something?" He asked, looking out the window in search of his car, seeing it a few feet behind him, but it looked different.
"Maybe." He shrugged.
"Did you get a new car?"
He blinked a few times for a second.
"Maaayyybeee." He replied with a cheeky grin.
Louis just shook his head and looked back at James' house.
"Why are you still bothering this lad? And I assume no missing person has been declared or found yet?" He asked, seeming annoyed.
"He's up to all of this, I just know it; and they're already investigating the missing people, just haven't found anything."
"Keep believing that, mate." He remarked, sighing and looking out the car window.
"They need to find these missing people already." He mumbled, sounding frustrated.
"Why do you want them found so bad?" Louis questioned, getting irritated.
Harry didn't answer, and kept peering outside the window.
Louis rolled his eyes again and moved his attention back to what he was doing.
If only I didn't have a crush on you, he thought.
Harry's head snapped towards him, and suddenly, a car pulled up to James' driveway.
Louis quickly took out his camera and got ready to take photos. His heart sank into his chest once he realised who it was; Ms Anderson.
Oh no.
Louis hurried and took photos, especially of James opening the door and letting her in.
He rushed to unlock his seatbelt, but Harry quickly reached his hand to stop him, but it was like realisation came over him, because he frowned and looked down in front of him, dropping his hands to his side.
Louis' face twisted in confusion. "What the bloody hell is wrong with you today, mate?"
Harry sat in silence, a sombre look on his face.
"You can't go out there, Lou." He said, his voice almost in a whisper.
"Why not?" Louis asked, wondering why he was saying this.
"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into if you go out there." He warned, slight fear in his voice.
"I will be fine, mate, alright?" Louis assured, giving him an assuring smile.
Harry shook his head. "You don't understand, and before you do, it would already be too late."
"Harry—"
"Drive the car, Lou. Don't bother this man. Not anymore, please." He begged with hopeful eyes.
"Harry, he's about to kill someone! I have to go out there and help her!" He protested, trying to make his best friend understand.
Harry looked away for a second. "He's a dangerous man. Far too dangerous. He killed my sister."
Louis' mouth gaped open in shock. "Mia? Why didn't you tell me? Is this why you've been so down?"
Harry nodded. "They haven't found her body, but I know where it is. I was there when it happened. Everything just happened so fast."
Louis took in his words, trying to process what he's just heard.
"So that's why you're so desperate for them to find those missing persons." He nodded again in response, chewing the inside of his mouth.
"I will go down to the station tomorrow and let them have a search warrant."
"Thank you." He replied, sighing in relief.
His brows furrowed in confusion once he realised something. "But just one question though, why did you keep defending him?"
Harry pursed his lips, twisting it with his finger.
"You have a very brutal serial killer that you watched kill your sister in cold blood, and you think you have a choice when it comes to telling people the truth when you were practically threatened not to?" He questioned, grinding his teeth.
Louis thought on that for a second, realising it sort of does make sense.
"Alright, sorry," he apologised. "But what about the woman?" Louis asked, still worried about her.
"You already know the truth. You have the pictures, I just don't want you to get hurt. In the meantime, let's just go to your flat. Catch up on things." He suggested, smiling warmly.
Louis thought about how crazy this was that he was about to leave a woman in danger. He didn't want to leave, but Harry's wishes sounded serious, and showed that he cares about him.
"Alright." He smiled warmly, before starting the car and driving away.

"Remember when we were 8 and we went to Disney World with your family, and you wouldn't stop throwing up every ride?" Harry asked Louis as they were laying peacefully on his bed, both their hands behind their heads.
They were doing this for a while, and Louis didn't seem to mind. It felt like going down memory lane with him.
"Yeah, I remember I had to drink a bottle of water every time because of how much it made my mouth dry." Louis chuckled softly, his gaze staring up at the ceiling.
"Yeah, it was a terrible day for you." He replied, chuckling as well.
Louis couldn't help but turn his head to Harry, admiring his calm, relaxed face. He smiled softly at his beauty, but not having the guts to say it to him. He looked back up at the ceiling and sighed deeply.
A thought all of a sudden crossed his mind. "Why did you quit by the way?" He curiously asked.
"I just need time. Time to think about what happened and heal from it." He explained.
Louis nodded, understanding.
Harry's sister was a brilliant person. She was so kind and had a soft demeanor. He had a great relationship with her. He could only imagine how Harry's feeling.
There was silence for a while.
"Louis?"
"Hmm?"
"You know I love you, right?"
"Yes?"
There was another moment of silence.
"What would you do if we weren't mates anymore?" Louis cocked his head in confusion, which made him wince because he did it a little too fast.
"I don't think I could ask for a better friend, Haz." He answered truthfully.
"What if you get another friend and forget about me?" At that, Louis sat up from the bed and looked at him puzzled, not understanding why he was saying this.
"Why are you asking this?"
He didn't answer for a few seconds. "Because one of the most painful things that a friendship can experience, no matter how long the friendship has been, is the end of that friendship."
Louis was as confused as ever. He didn't understand why Harry was saying any of this.
Does he not want to be friends anymore?
"Harry, of course we will always be friends. I can't imagine a life without you in it."
Harry closed his eyes tightly at Louis' response, and Louis could see a tear roll down his cheek.
"Harry—"
"I'm gonna go, I'll see you later." He declared, and stood up from the bed and made his way out of the room.
Louis pondered for a moment, trying to figure out what just happened.
Something was wrong with Harry, and he desperately wanted to know what it was.
