Arkshaan lost his sanity since the day he got to know about her engagement. Three weeks passed with his overnight cries and her thoughts which literally killed him alive. He faked himself to the outer world, but internally, he lost the real him.

He stood in front of the mirror, and looked himself with a sad smile. He knew that he definitely lost some pounds due to lack of eating. He lost his appetite; lost his sleep; and he lost the entire him in her love. His heart ached realising her pain she would have gone through, when he unnoticed her feelings; back then.

He wore a black floral printed shirt, which was once gifted by her, paired with a grey pants with black shoes. It was a bit oversized due to his loss of weight, but he didn't mind. His beard which he regularly trimmed once a week, now grown considerably. He was not in a state to concentrate on himself anymore. Even though he looked good to external world, he knew his state inside.

 'Innaiku avaluku happyana naal..avaluku nalla life kedaika pora naal..ni santhoshama irukanum da..ava munadi aluthu vaikatha..patha kandippa en Yara varuthapaduva..' he thought to himself with blurred eyes.

He quickly opened his room door to face Lavanya. He maintained an emotionless face and walked passed her,

'Kowshik?'

He stopped in his tracks but didn't turn,

'Na vara koodathunu annaike mudivu paniten..enna tha irunthalum, ava edatha na parichukiten nu oru guilt enaku irunthute iruku..atha..en wishes ayum avaluku solidunga..'

Arkshaan wiped the loner tear that escaped from his eyes, and left.

'Innaiku enaku nimmathi kedaika pora oru mukkiyamana naal Kowshik..ungala ipdi paka kashtama tha iruku..aana poha poha kandipa elame sariyahidum..' she thought and smiled.

Arkshaan's heartbeat raised when he neared the reception hall. He knew that his heart was not ready to bear this, but he yearned to witness his Yara's happiness too. He was happy that she had moved on to accept another life, but his heart said a different story.

He flashed a smile at the guests who were familiar to him, whom he met at the entrance, but then his gaze fell on their name board.

"Welcome to the Engagement Ceremony of Drishyan & Saahasyara" 

His lips didn't dare to utter what was written there. He quickly averted his gaze and entered in.

He looked around the hall nervously and placed himself in the last row, which was free of guests. Rakesh was ushering the VIP guests at the first row, but then his gaze fell on his friend who sat there like a third person at the corner. He quickly excused himself and went near him,

'Dei macha! va da..en da inga okkarnthu iruka? munadi va..unaku seat reserve panirukom..'

'Ila da, na ingaye iruken..ath..athu..' he was cut off by Rakesh,

'Pchh! pesama va da..' he dragged his friend to the second row and made him sit there. Arkshaan sat there awkwardly, adding to that, the person next to him tested his patience. Many other celebrities noticed and made a casual talk, while he answered them politely.

Prakash, Preethi, Syon and Shakthi too noticed him and greeted formally. Arkshaan felt hurt when Prakash didn't behave normal with him yet, but he hid his hurt and smiled to the world.

He felt like left out when he saw people around him were talking happily, including his friends. He was not ready to leave back everything and just fake a smile. He chose to be silent rather than talking to make others suspicious about his state.

His thoughts were disrupted, when he heard a voice calling him,

'Hi Partner!'

'Hey! Partner' Arkshaan smiled a little at Thakshan.

'Enna thaniya okkarnthu irukeenga?'

'Ath..athu..' he was cut off by him,

'Namma team anga okkarnthu irukanga..vanga..' he tried to pull Arkshaan,

'Ila partner, paravala..I..I'm fine here..' he faked a smile.

Thakshan frowned at his glassy eyes, but soon passed a smile,

'Sari okay, apo na inga iruken unga kooda!'

Arkshaan felt a bit relieved when he got Thakshan by his side. He was so disturbed in his mind, so he felt like he would be diverted from it when Thakshan was here; but poor he couldn't pretend to be normal.

Arkshaan sat there hanging his head low, unable to control his overwhelming emotions. Thakshan too sat there, not disturbing him, as he know something was bothering his partner, so he kept quiet.

Arkshaan lifted his head up when he heard the crowd cooing in excitement. A small smile crept in his lips, noticing Drishyan, who arrived at the stage, wearing a golden colored royal suit accentuating his charm. His face elicited pure happiness and glow, that he was going to be united with his lady love. An innocent smile and manly blush adorned his handsome face, making the crowd drench in joy.

The sudden noise of the guests, made Arkshaan sit there numb. He heard them speak about the bride's arrival. His eyes stagnated with tears; he didn't dare to turn back. His heart sank, not able to look back at her who walked towards the stage. 

Arkshaan quickly gulped his tears, not wanting to make himself suspicious. He exhaled a deep breath and turned back slowly to witness the most beautiful angel, both in and out.

There, she walked in a golden shimmery lehenga flowing on her gracefully, with an exquisite diamond neckpiece and earrings adorning her flawless skin, with a simple makeup; the usual her. Her innocence and simplicity well complimented her inner and outer beauty, respectively.

No one noticed her smile which bloomed on her face was not genuine, except one. She successfully made others believe that she was wholeheartedly into it.

She neared the second row, while she felt his presence there. Her heart yearned to look into his eyes, but her mind refused it. She recognized his strong gaze on her, and gulped down her tears, not to give in to her heart.

She knew she couldn't hold back, and her heart won the conflict with her mind. Her eyes instantly fixed with his magnetic ones, which still had that effect to stir up her soul. Before she could get lost in those pair of sea, she quickly averted her gaze, blinking back her tears.

தொடு வானமாய் பக்கமாகிறாய் 

தொடும் போதிலே தொலைவாகிறாய்

His gaze followed her until she reached the stage, which didn't go unrecognized by her heart. She knew that he was yearning for her single glance, but she didn't dare to look. Her heart and soul burned in agony.

இதயத்திலே தீபிடித்து 

கனவெல்லாம் கருகியதே 

உயிரே நீ உருகும்முன்னே

கண்ணே காண்பேனோ

Drishyan came forward to receive her with his content smile. He too had tears, looking at his love, who is going to be his soon. Saahasya hesitantly stood there, while Preethi noticed it and came near her to shake her out of her trance. Her hand shivered to touch Drishyan's, but looking at his anticipation, she slowly joined her hands with his.

பொன்னே பூந்தேனே

They stood there in the middle of the stage and their friends stood beside them, teasing then and now. Even though Drishyan was happy, he realised her state when he witnessed her face. He also noticed Arkshaan who sat there with a hurt face, which reflected his broken heart.

Prakash brought the engagement rings while the hearts of two souls beat its way to dejection. Drishyan took the ring and forwarded his hand to take hers in. He looked into her eyes and blinked his eyes in assurance. 

Saahasya knew that she was ripping her heart apart, going against its wish. She has had enough with all the torment she endured. Now at least she wanted her loved ones to be happy. She hid her bleeding wound and offered her hand to the man in front of her.

Drishyan went on his knees and took her hand into his, while he gently pushed the ring which was engraved "DS", into her slender finger. Arkshaan shot his head down, unable to witness it, taking a deep breath. A loner tear involuntarily fell from his eyes, but he soon blinked it.

வலியென்றால் காதலின் வலிதான் 

வலிகளில் பொிது

அது வாழ்வினும் கொடிது

Preethi insisted Saahasya to insert his ring. She did what others said, in a lifeless state. Her face was plastered with a tiny smile, which she faked for others, but internally, she was lost. She felt like her soul leaving her body at that moment.

உன்னை நீங்கியே உயிா் கரைகிறேன்

வான் நீளத்தில் என்னை புதைகிறேன்

The whole crowd went in aww, when Drishyan pulled her gently and kissed on the top of her head with full of love. 

Arkshaan couldn't sit there anymore. He quickly excused himself from Thakshan, who gave him a puzzled look, and rushed to the washroom. No one was in a state to notice him except Syon, who observed him since his arrival.

Arkshaan locked the washroom, and cried out loud, cupping his mouth. Either his voice or heart could not be heard by her; He gripped his hair in his hands and cried hard, unable to seal his hurt within himself.

At the same time, Saahasya's eyes searched for his, as she realised something was not right. She looked at the empty seat which he seated a moment ago. She panicked thinking of him, but she was distracted by the crowd who came up to wish them. Even though she didn't have that courage to look into his eyes, she yearned to look at him, at least once.

கனவெல்லாம் கருகியதே

Arkshaan came out after calming his heart, who washed his face and adjusted himself before entering the hall back. He knew, that if he stayed more, he would end up doing something, which he might regret later.

He wanted her to be happy forever. He ignored his wounded heart, and plastered a smile on his face, which he knew that he couldn't fake for so long.

He reached Thakshan,

'Pa..partner!'

Thakshan turned to him, and confused looking at his face which lost its color,

'Partner, enachu..are you alright?'

'Aa..aama..athu Thakshan n..na..enaku oru mukiyamana work..v..vanthudhuchu..production house lernthu..k..kandippa v..vara soli call pananga..oru china problem..n..na kelambren..intha gifta avanga kita kuduthudreengala?' his voice shivered.

'Irunga partner neengale takkunu pesitu poidalam..'

'Il..illa..romba urgent..na Rakesh kita aproma pesren..neenga itha kuduthudunga..'

Thakshan nodded and received it from him. Without waiting a second, he stormed out of the hall, without looking back. No one including Saahasya, noticed his departure, except Syon, once again; but he kept quiet.

Arkshaan drove back home in high speed while crying his heart out. All his suppressed emotions, burst out the next second, he entered into his car.

Lavanya and Arwin were at his parents' place, so he opened his entrance and directly stormed into his room, and fell on the floor, cupping his face. His heart twisted his soul more, making it bleed more in pain. His eyes shed uncontrollable tears; poor he, had no other choice rather than crying his heart out.

'Yara amma! mudila di..enaku romba valikuthu di..enala un kanna nimirnthu paka kuda mudila..elathayum elantha paaviyaahiten ma!!!'

He hit his head with his hands,

'Marakka nenachalum valikuthu, maraka vendam nu nenachalum valikuthu di..enna intha saabathula irunthu kapathave mudiyatha ma?! ithuku ni enna orediya saavadichirukalame di!!!'

காதல் என்னை பிழிகிறதே 

கண்ணீா் நதியாய் வழிகிறதே

நினைப்பதும் தொல்லை மறப்பதும் தொல்லை

வாழ்வே வலிக்கிறதே

'Ni enna thaandi pohum bothu unna iluthu katti pudichu, enna vitutu pohatha amma nu un tholula saanju kathari alanum pola irunthuchu ma!!!!'

'Unna na nerantharama tholachutane ma! enga poi ini epdi unna na theduven di? enaku unna pakrathuku kudi inimel arugatha iruka Yara??' he cried more.

காட்டில் தொலைந்த மழை துளி போல் 

கண்ணே நீயும் தொலைந்ததென்ன 

நீாினை தேடும் வோினை போல

பெண்ணே உன்னை கண்டெடுப்பேன்

Arkshaan got up from his place wiping his overflowing tears, and opened his cupboard to take the gifts from his Kaariga. He took one particular gift, which had them together. He opened his portrait and looked at the slidable portion, which had his Kaariga's eyes beneath, but remained closed right now.

He closed his eyes with tears, only to be hit by his Yara's expressive eyes, and smiled in tears. He opened the slidable portion with his eyes closed, and opened his eyes, to directly stare into his Kaariga's eyes, which she had sent him for the first time. He chuckled like a mad man realising the truth, while tears flowed from his eyes, when he felt the same spark while imagining his Yara's eyes a moment back. 

Both eyes should be same, when both Kaariga and Yara were the same..shouldn't they?

கண்கள் ரெண்டும் மூடும் போதும் 

நூறு வண்ணம் தோன்றுதே 

மீண்டும் கண்கள் பாா்க்கும் போது 

லோகம் சூன்யம் ஆகுதே

He hugged her eyes against his chest and laid on the floor chanting her (Kaariga) name for the nth time, taking shallow breaths due to continuous crying, while tears flowed down his cheeks, pitying him.

Saahasya searched for him numerous times, but he didn't turn up. She became restless, until Thakshan came and informed her about his early departure. Drishyan too noticed her face, which showed nothing, but hurt. He knew the entire past about Saahasya alike Prakash and others. He insisted them to let her know about Arkshaan who loved Kaariga, not Lavanya. But her brothers were not ready to do it, as they thought that she would be hurt even more. 

Drishyan sighed hard, thinking of these two innocent soul's torment, but also knew that nothing could be reversible hereafter. If Arkshaan is not married to Lavanya, he would have helped Saahasya to unite with him, definitely. But in the present case, he couldn't do anything. The only thing he could do is, look after her and give her all the happiness at the cost of his own life.

After the ceremony, Saahasya informed Drishyan and her brother that she wanted to rest sometime, but they clearly knew the reason for her isolation, but remained calm.

She went into her room, and threw herself on the bed and cried hard covering her face. Her heart burned to another man's touch, other than him. She saw the hurt in his eyes, but she was not in a state to console him, as she herself was shattered inside.

'Arkshaan..enala mudila da..thappu paniteno nu thonuthu..enala itha ethuka mudiyathu nu thonuthu..enala elaroda vazhkayayum saabama mathitu iruken..' she cried more.

'Ungala manasula vachukitu inorutharoda life ayum na aniyayamakreno nu ku ipo thonuthu..ethuku Arkshaan!!! yenn enala ungala marakka mudila!!! YENNNNNN!!!!!'

'Ungala maraka nenachale en nenje vedikra mari iruku..enala athu mudiyathu..en odambula uyir irukra varaikum ungala en uyir la irunthu pirika mudiyathu Arkshaan..pirika mudiyathu!!!!'

'Unga kanna pathale enala enna control panna mudila..aana athe kanna pakama enala vaazhavum mudiyathu nu enaku theriyum..aana ini life long ungaloda antha kanna enala pakave mudiyathu la??'

'Na ungala love pannenu unma therinju enmela varuthathulayo, ila unga mela ulla guilt nalayo neenga vethanapadreenga nu purithu..aana intha 7 varshama ungala marakavum mudiyama, nenaikrathaala varra valiya thaangikavum mudiyama, en vazhkaiye naaragama ayiduchu Arkshaan..romba valikkuthu da!!!'

சிறுபொழுது பிாிந்ததற்கே

பல பொழுது கதறி விட்டாய்

ஜென்மங்களாய் பெண் துயரம்

அறிவாயோ நீ

She got up from the bed, wiping her tears, and opened her drawer to take their photo out. A sad chuckle escaped her mouth, when she witnessed the carefree Arkshaan and Saahasya, looking at each other and laughing their heart out. (The same pic, which Preethi found out accidentally-refer chapter "Unhealed Wounds")

She hugged their photo and laid on the floor, sniffling her tears,

'Neenga enna vitutu poidunga Arkshaan..na ungaluku vendam..na oru athishtamilathava..en lifela santhoshathuke edamilla..neenga epovum santhoshama irukanum..poidunga Arkshaan..'

She closed her eyes in tiredness, chanting his name continuously, hugging him against her chest tightly, whispering it to her wounded heart,

'Love you Arksheyyy! Love you Arksheyyy! Love you Arksheyy!'
