Arkshaan thought for a second before responding, 'Hmm..okay..enga meet pananum?'

Arkshaan hesitated, 'en veetuku..yenoda veetla..it's not nice..'

'Pchhh! Kowshik please purinjukonga..it's urgent..'

'Sari ok..va..'

Lavanya entered Arkshaan's house, who stood there with a confused face. He was too tired from the previous day's shoot, but he was happy and elated that he met Yaara previous night for the dinner. He couldn't deny Lavanya's request as she seemed too panicked and waned to meet him immediately, so he agreed to meet her. 

Arkshaan moved from the entrance and gave some space to her to walk in, and he kept the main door open, as they were only there in the house. Arkshaan came back to her and frowned looking at her so nervous. He cleared his throat to bring her out of her thoughts,

'Thanni ethum kudikriya?'

'Ila..I'm okay..athu..'

Arkshaan frowned, 'sollu enna vishayam?'

'Athu..n..na..ungakita oru unmaya solanum..'

Arkshaan was puzzled, 'unmaya? enna unma?'

Lavanya gulped hard before she took some hospital reports from her handbag. Arkshaan looked at her hands and looked back at her, 'Ennathu ithu?'

'Paarunga..' she forwarded them to him.

He frowned and took the reports. He read them silently and his eyes grew wider looking at it, 'Lavanya..ithu..' she cut him off in the middle,

'Kowshik, I'M PREGNANT!'

Arkshaan looked at her confused, 'Atha yen enkita solra ipo?'

'What? seriously? ni tha ithuku karanam na unkita solama vera yarukita na solanum?'

Arkshaan's whole world stopped after hearing it. He couldn't believe what she said. He looked at her with shock filled eyes, while Lavanya continued with tears,

'Can't you remember Kowshik? annaiku namakulla nadanthathu elame maranthutiya?'

Arkshaan went speechless. He didn't know where it went wrong. But he felt guilty when he saw Lavanya's teary eyes. She continued,

'Rendu masathuku munadi nadanthatha ni venumna maranthu irukalam..aana enaku ellame nyabagam iruku Kowshik..I..I couldn't stop you..th..' Arkshaan gestured her to stop.

'Lavanya ni etho..pch..ithu epdi..enala nambave mudila..' he ran his hand through his hair in frustration.

'Theriyum Kowshik..unaku ethum nyabagam irukathu nu enaku theriyum..that day, you were not in your senses..annaiku..(she exhaled her breath) na solratha unala namba mudila la? intha..niye paru!' saying that, she forwarded her phone to him.

Arkshaan was already in a great shock hearing what she said, adding to that what he saw, just broke him.

'Intha photos la irukrathu nanum niyum tha..annaiku I came there to help you..apo tha..ath..athu..anga ninna photographer random ah edutha photos la ithuvum irunthuchu..he forwarded it to me..' she choked her tears.

Tears started to roll down from his cheeks, while she continued, 

'Alatha Kowshik, it was not only your mistake..ni annaiku suya nenaivulaye illa..but I could have stopped you..but how could I do that when I love you so much will all my life?'

Arkshaan looked at her startled. He didn't know that Lavanya loved her. He was shocked to learn the news. 

'Puriyuthu Kowshik, yen apo na ivlo nala unkita solala nu ni nenaikra nu puriyuthu..enala mudila Kowshik..un kanna pathu enala solla mudila..I loved you so much, aanalum atha solra thairiyam enaku irukala..athanala tha en feelingsa unaku enoda words moolama express pananum nu mudivu pannen..'

Arkshaan was confused what she was talking about, and a sudden realisation hit him and he stared at her with tear filled eyes, 

'Ni paka aegitu irukra, unna uyiruku uyira nesikra Kaariga..athu na tha Kowshik!'

Arkshaan couldn't utter a word. He stared at her while tears rolled down from his eyes continuously. He was searching his Kaariga everywhere since he realised his love for her. He believed that she would come to him soon. He knew how much she conveyed her love by her words. He was captivated by her love. He decided to live his life all alone until he meets his Kaariga. He desired to shower all his love to her until his last breath. But when Lavanya told that she was his Kaariga, he couldn't accept it for some unknown reasons, which he couldn't even point out. Something in his heart told him that Lavanya was not his Kaariga.

Lavanya, understanding his thoughts, continued with tears,

'Na solratha nambrathuku ni yosikra nu puriyuthu..unaku Kaariga kita irunthu kedacha last gift enna nu nyabagam iruka?' she smiled sadly, 'Ni epdi marapa..unaku ava na uyir nu theriyum..unaku matume therinjathu, sola pona unakum atha amichu vacha Kaariga kum matume therinja vishayam..atha na solren..apovachum nambriya Kowshik?'

Arkshaan tried to believe what she was saying, but his heart yearned for the opposite. His heart begged her not to tell it correct. He didn't know the reason for that. Once he discovered his feelings for Kaariga, he was ready to accept whoever it is. But he couldn't imagine that it was Lavanya. He had not seen her like that before. His prayers went in vain, when he heard what Lavanya said,

'Black and White striped suit..athoda price 150,000..atha nee aasapatta, aana vaangala...Kaariga unaku kadasiya amicha gift athu tha..ithu unakum avalukum matum therinja vishayam..ni inga iruka, un kannu munadiye nikren...na tha Kowshik un Kaariga!' she cried hard cupping her face.

Tears started to roll down from their eyes while they stared each other,

'Annaiku nadanthu namma rendu perum oruthar mela oruthar vachiruntha love nala..ni annaiku Kaariga pathi tha polambite iruntha..I was happy..un manasula na Kaariga va edam pudichuten nu..aana ni Kaariga kita pesratha nenachutu..enkita..kita varum bothu enala thadukka mudila..yen na rendume na than..unoda antha love enaku tha sontham nu purinjukiten..whatever happened between us, was not an accident..it was of pure love Kowshik...!!'

Arkshaan wordlessly hugged her tight while he cried harder. Even though he was guilty for whatever happened that night, he was relieved and his happiness was out of bounds when he found out his Kaariga..he knew that was wrong, but a wave of relief hit him when both Lavanya and Kaariga were same. 

Both cried in their embraces while he talked,

'Annaiku nadanthathu ethume enaku nyabagam ila tha..but I'm sorry..na ponnungala romba mathikravan..un consent ilama annaiku ivlo na thappa behave paniruken nu nenaikum bothu enna nenaikave enaku aruveruppa iruku..' Lavanya looked at him and shook her head horizontally, while he continued,

'Aana en Kaariga tha enaku mulusa kedachiruka nu nenaikum bothu enala en santhoshatha control panave mudila..athoda romba nimmathiya iruku Lavanya..thank you..enkita vanthathuku..en mela ivlo love kaatinathuku..I know namakulla nadanthathu thappu tha..but I promise..enoda Kaarigava na epovume vida maten..'

He hugged her tightly and uttered,

'Ini enna nadanthalum nan epovume unna kaivida maten Lavanya!'

For the next three months, they were happy and enjoyed their days together. Arkshaan looked after her with utmost care, while she was happy that she got him in his life. They did not behave as usual lovey-dovey couples. They just shared simple hugs and forward kisses. Arkshaan told his friends about Lavanya and Kaariga, as both were same, but he didn't disclose about Lavanya's pregnancy to anyone. He introduced her to his parents and insisted them to get them marry soon. His parents and friends were confused about his hasty behavior, but brushed it off as they were truly happy for him. That's when a tragic incident happened in their lives.

One night, he received a call around 10pm. Arkshaan frowned and picked the call,

'Hello? is this Mr Arkshaan Kowshik?'

'Yes?'

'Naanga XXX hospital la irunthu pesrom..Lavanya ngravanga ungalku vendapattavanga thane?'

Arkshaan started to panic, 'Aama nga..yennachu nga avaluku?'

'Sir konjam hospital varaikum vara mudiyuma?'

Arkshaan rushed to the hospital and asked the receptionist about Lavanya. He ran towards the emergency unit, only to be stopped by the nurse,

'Sir konjam wait panunga..Doctor veliya vanthathum pesikalam..'

Arkshaan started to shed tears, he didn't know what happened to her..he feared of loosing his love..he stood there unable to hold back his tears. After a couple of hours, doctor came out of the room. Arkshaan immediately rushed to him,

'Doctor, Lavanya ku ennachu?'

'Sorry..neenga?'

'Arkshaan..na avaloda fiance..please sollunga doctor..'

'Oh..calm down Mr Arkshaan..na solratha konjam porumaya kelunga..'

Arkshaan gulped his tears and stared at the doctor, while the doctor continued in a soft voice,

'Avangala 2 3 per sernthu harass pana try panirukanga..sexual abuse mari therila..but iron rod naala avanga adi vayithula..balama adichu irukanga..' the doctor looked at Arkshaan's reaction, who stood there frozen while tears were flowing down from his eyes continuously,

Doctor kept his hand on Arkshaan's shoulder and continued, 'I'm sorry Arkshaan..avanga vayithula iruntha kozhanthaya engalala kapatha mudila..I'm extremely sorry..and I know, ithu ungalku romba kashtama tha irukum..as the blow on her abdomen was too harsh, avanga uterus (womb) um already romba weaka irunthanala..we couldn't control the heavy bleeding..so avangala kapathrathukaha avanga uterus ah remove pana vendiyathagiduchu..as a doctor, avanga uyira kapathrathu romba mukkiyama pattuchu Mr Arkshaan..hope you understand..don't loose your hope..avangaluku neenga tha aaruthal solanum..be strong..' he patted his shoulder and walked passed him. 

Arkshaan's whole world stopped. The kids and him were inseperable; he loved kids; he adored kids; and he definitely desired to have kids for himself. He was on cloud nine when he came to know that the love of his life carried his baby. He awaited his own kid to shower all his love to him. But he realised his unfortune; he cannot have kids anymore..He gulped hard and wiped his tears but failed miserably to hold back his breakdown. He tried to shutdown his desire for her sake. He knew she would not be able to bear a child anymore. He composed himself and hid his pain and made up his mind to console her.

Lavanya was brought to the normal private room. She was already informed by the doctor about her condition and she cried hard like a maniac. She couldn't tolerate her pain of her heart. She was entirely broken. She screamed hard when Arkshaan rushed to her room and embraced her tightly to calm her down. He pacified her, but she just pushed him and cried more. He too was not in a state to console her as he himself was broken inside. 

They took few days to calm themselves after she got discharged. They kept everything hidden from everyone. She was taken for counselling several times, as she was mentally unstable after the tragic incident. Arkshaan was called into the Psychiatrist's room,

'Mr Arkshaan, whatever happened to her is pathetic, I'm really sorry for your loss..aana avangaluku ipo irukra mental disorder ku per, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)..avanga ipdi low moodla irukrathukum stressed out ah irukrathukum athu than karanam..I know it's not easy..konjam konjama namma tha avangala purinjukitu avangala ithula irunthu veliya kondu varanum..be strong..'

Arkshaan nodded with tears and they reached back to their place. Lavanya suddenly held his hands,

'Kowshik, na worthless la?'

'Lavanya, enna pesra?'

'I know Kowshik, namma kozhanthaya nenachu nee evlo santhoshama iruntha nu enaku theriyum..namma evlo santhoshama kalyanam panikalam nu irunthom..aana ipo athu elame kanava poiduchu la?'

Arkshaan became furious, 'Lavanya stop this..apdi ethume ila..'

'Ila Arkshaan..ni enna kalyanam panikka vendam..get married to someone else..I can't give birth to your child..ipove un amma appa kita elathayum solidalam..avangalum kandippa ithuku othuka matanga..' saying that, she cried harder.

Arkshaan hugged her tightly, not letting her talk, 'Vaaya moodu Lavanya, yarkum ethume namma sola porathila..and you..nee tha enaku ellame..ni matum tha enaku mukiyam..oru prachna varrapo vitutu ooduravan na kedayathu..enna uyirukuyira love panna ponnu, naa alavukathigama love panna ponnu, ava tha enaku life..no one else..ipo na solren..namaku kalyanam nadakkum..kuricha date la kuricha time la kandippa nadakum..ni tha enoda wife! atha yaralayume matha mudiyathu..' he said with blurred eyes.

After their marriage, he subtly convinced his parents and friends to take Lavanya alone for sometime. He knew that he might not hide things from them, if they stay with them, so he isolated himself and Lavanya from them and stayed far away from them, soon after their wedding. Even though he was too confused and hurt by Saahasya's disappearance, his mind was too occupied with Lavanya and her health. The Psychiatrist adviced Arkshaan to divert her mind from the trauma and asked him to do what she liked. She loved kids the most; he learnt it at took her to one of the orphanages which was nearby. She slowly started to change, while she spent time with those kids daily, but her nights were haunted with those sour memories. Arkshaan was happy that she started to become normal in some ways. He noticed that she was too attached to a particular baby in that orphanage. 

'Kowshik..na onnu kekatuma?'

'Sollu' he smiled a little.

'Arwin baby ah namma adopt panikalama?'

He knew this will come one day. He too was happy that his wife started to recover after her attachment with that few months old baby; Arwin. So he happily accepted it.

'Sari..namma nalaike Arwin a kutitu vanthudalam..' he smiled at her, while she squealed in happiness.

Approximately after one and a half year, he came back to his parents but hid the truth of Arwin. Everyone celebrated Arwin as their own child, and the couple decided not to reveal the truth and break them. They lived a happy life with Arwin, until Arkshaan learnt another shocking truth. He decided to start his life fresh with Lavanya after all the tragic incidents that had happened in both of their lives. Even though he noticed mild behavioral changes in her, he brushed them off and decided to live happily with her.

'Lavanya, ithu varaikum nadantha elathayum oru ketta kanava nenachu maranthudalam..namma life ah puthusa start panalam..' he smiled at her with full of love.

She smiled at him, but soon frowned when he came closer to her. He slowly brought his palms to cup her face and looked into his eyes. She started sweating, when his warm palms touched her cheeks..her breathing went abnormal and when he leaned in, her eyes went blurred and she fell on the floor unconscious. 

'Lavanya?! Lavanya??? enachu ma?'

She was immediately taken to the hospital, and after few hours of treatment, the doctor asked Arkshaan to meet him privately. 

'Mr Arkshaan, avangaluku oru psychiatric issue iruku nu ungalku already theriyum..even though she looked normal, antha incident oda thaakkam romba deep ah avangala affect paniruku..antha past trauma la irunthu avangalala inum mulusa veliya vara mudila, neenga sonatha vachu nanga avangala Psychiatrist kita refer pannom..already existed PTSD nala avanga ipo..now she is diagnosed with Haphephobia- apdina, fear of getting touched..avangala yaru thottalum, avangaloda past incidents nala avanga athuku panic aavanga..especially men..so ithu curable ah nu keta..athu engalala solla mudiyathu..cure aahalam, ahamalum polam..namma konjam avangaluku time kudukanum..let's not rush her...pakalam..nanga avangaluku medicines prescribe panirukom..don't loose your hope..avangala pathukonga...'

The whole ride back to their house was silent. None of them spoke. Arwin was sleeping with his grandparents, giving privacy to the couple. When Arkshaan entered into the room, Lavanya stopped him by holding his wrist,

'Kowshik, I'm sorry..enala..athu..' she gulped her tears.

Arkshaan smiled at her while released his hand from her hold, 'Don't be sorry Lavanya..unoda health tha mukkiyam..unoda thappu ithula ethume ila..calm down..va vanthu medicines saptu paduthu thoongu..'

He gave her the medicines and made her sleep, later, he moved into the washroom without waking her. He turned on the shower and stood below it with his clothes on and cried hard, cupping his mouth with his hands, being careful not to make sounds and wake her.

'Kadavule..engalku life la santhoshama irukrathuke kuduppana ilaya? na yarku senja paavom enna ipdi thorathuthu? nimmathiya sirichu ethana varshamachu..ipo nimmathiya azha kuda mudila..en ennayum enna suthi ullavangalayum ipdi sothikra? yarkitayum solli ala kuda mudiyatha nelamaila iruken..ithuku nee enna pesama konnirukalam..enala en amma appava santhoshapadutha mudila..avangalku verum kashtatha tha kuduthen..ipo enoda Kaariga, na love panna ponnu ipdi kashtapadra..en ipdilam nadakuthu..yen enaku matum nadakuthu..' he thought while crying hard.

After standing for so long in the shower, he came and changed his clothes and lied on the couch near the bed with swollen eyes and puffy face due to excessive crying. He faced Lavanya, who was in deep sleep due to the effect of the medication. He smiled a little,

'Enoda love poi ila..unna na palayapadi aakrathuku enala mudinchatha seivan..namma mattum thaniya ila..Arwin um inimel namma poruppu..avan ku oru nalla amma va ni irupa nu enaku theriyum..namma 2 perum avana nallapadiya pathupom..enaku neenga rendu perum santhoshama iruntha athu matum pothum..Love you Kaariga!' he slowly drifted to sleep.

He burried all his happiness and desires withing himself and hid his pain for her sake, and determined to cure her at any cost. Even though the chances for her cure were unfavorable, he decided to try his best to bring her out of her trauma. He also loved Arwin with all his heart, and he mentally promised to take care of him and be a good father for him forever.

Day by day, Lavanya started to suspect Arkshaan in all ways. At the beginning, he tried to be calm and not to shout at her, but with time, her suspisions about him started to overrule her, due to her inability and illness. She thought that he would abandon her look for some other girl, as she was already mentally unstable and her inability to let him touch her, made her afraid that one day he would leave her. Arkshaan was deeply hurt when he knew that his real love was being suspected. Even though he knew that it was due to her mental instability, his heart ached every time she hurted him on cheating her. Every night, he cried silently, unable to lament his pain to anyone, and as usual he masked them the next day, only for her and his Arwin. The life which he yearned for, turned him upside down or even worse, especially he didn't deserve a hell of pain in his already tragic life, but he accepted it; he lived it with pain; to safe guard his most precious thing in his life; his love.

Prakash, Rakesh and Preethi stood there shocked with tears continuously falling from their eyes. They regretted for hurting him, who was already living a tormented life unable to come out of it. They didn't say that he wasn't wrong, he was wrong..even though he failed to discover his true love, he safe guarded a girl's dignity. They knew that he mistook Lavanya as Kaariga, but whatever happened between them, blinded him to think further. Even though Lavanya hid the truth of Kaariga and claimed him as his love, even though they were angry for hurting their sister, they felt bad for her for facing such tragedies in her life. No one, even our enemies would not face such things in life; they thought.

Even though they felt bad for their friend's life, Prakash was not ready to accept his mapla. He knew there was no fault in both of their sides, but his love for his papa refrained him from accepting his friend. He was extremely hurt looking at his papa's life got into a mess. Rakesh, who understood Prakash's mind, looked at him for assurance, and went near and kept his palm on Arkshaan's shoulder, who was sitting on the floor and breathing hard, unable to cry more,

'Macha, unaku nadanthathu ethume nyayam ila da..ni enga kita yen maraikanum nu nenacha nu therila..aana ithelam annaike nee elarkum soliruntha na ivlo dhooram vanthirukathu da..yen da engala la patha unaku moonavathu manushan mariya therithu? (his eyes got blurred) unaku oru kashtam na nanga ninnirupome da unkooda..po da!' he sniffled his tears.

Arkshaan looked at him with teary eyes, 'enaku santhoshama vaazhrathuku kuduthu vaikkala macha, aarambathula irunthe apdi tha..en Kaariga en lifela vanthaprom tha da na romba nalaiku aprom unmaya sirichen..enna prachna, enna kashtam vanthalum enoda love-u enoda Kaariga en kooda irukaa nu tha da ivlo naal..ivlo naal..elathayume en manasukulaye vachu adakikitu enna samathanapaduthikitu irunthen..aana antha Ka..Kaariga (he choked his tears) en Kaarigave ila nu neenga solrappo..en..ennaku ipove ingaye sethudalam pola iruku da..'

Rakesh slapped him on his cheek, 'Dei!!! ipo ena da? thappu tha da..ni pannathu thappu tha..aana ni Lavanya va kalyanam panikitathu tha correct..ava Kaariga ila ngrathukaha ni avala vitutu poiruntha na naane unna manichirukka  maten da..thappu un pakkam iruku..atha sari panrathukaha tha ni avala kalyanam panikita..aana avala Kaariga nu nenachu emanthuta da..vidu ma..(cha)' he was cut off by Arkshaan,

'Ila macha!!! emathitaa da ava! enna emathita..annaiku ava antha unmaya sonappo, ava Kaariga ila nu soliruntha kuda en manasu valichirunthalum na panna thappukaha Lavanya va kalyanam panikitu enoda Kaariga va na konja konjama maraka try panirupen..aana ava en..en love, en feelings oda veladita da!!! nanum anbu paasam ithelame kedaikanum nu aengura satharana manushan thane da? epdi da..epdi avalala..ipdi oru poiya..' he cried hard unable to finish his sentence.

Rakesh patted his shoulder, while Arkshaan continued,

'Ila da..enaku therila..Lavanya intha unmaiya sonappo Yara tha Kaariga ngra unma therinjiruntha kuda na enna mudivu eduthirupen nu enaku therila da..yen na atha ithu vara na yosichathe ila, Lavanyavum Kaariga vum onnu ngra santhoshathulaye nimmathilaye vaazhnthuten da ivlo naal..aana Yara mari oru ponna na emathiten nu nenaikum bothu..sathiyama manasu rommba valikuthu da..ipo enaku valikuthu la? enoda love enkita ilengratha nenaikrappo?? apo annaiku avalukum ithe mari tha valichirukum la? he cried more. 

Preethi, and Prakash too cried harder looking at his state. 

'Lavanya ipdi oru thappa panniruka venam da..ava inoru ponnoda love ah misuse panikitathu matumilama avala romba romba torture paniruka..avaluku na kedachume Yara va pazhi vangitta..na tha Yara va enkoodave pakathulaye vachukiten aana enmela ulla kovathula Yara va romba odachuta da ava! ava pannathu thappu da..kandippa ithukha na avala manikkave maten da..na av..(ala)..'

Arkshaan stopped in the middle and others too jerked and looked at the entrance when Syon rushed there with panic, and screamed with tears,

'Prakash na!! Haasu..nam..namma Haa..(su)..' his voice choked because of his tears,

'Dei ennachu da?? dei papa ku enachu da?'

'Haasu..Haasuva marupadiyum avan..antha..avala na marupadiyum vituten na!!!!
