❝YOUR POV❞
▬▬ "1 month and 1 week later"
"Your room is quite messy, but I think with some elbow grease and some planning, we might fix it!"
"I was looking through your things and I just found out that you liked (insert favourite ARG), why didn't tell me!? We could've spent the entire night theorizing and speculating on the potential outcomes."
"I looked through your history rank games in (insert favourite MOBA game) and I noticed how quite absent you've been onto the game to the point of your rank dropping, if you don't mind, why don't you hit me up so we can play a bit?"
"Jeez, your room stinks of dirty laundry though, I can't blame you seeing as you barely even have enough time to take care of yourself, so I took the liberty to do the chores for you, so you'd have more time to rest!"
In the span of one month and one week, you've received many cards from "Pretty Lady", well just a quarter of them that you actually have decided to keep. Most of them were quite nonsensical but, some feel like its backhanded, to either remind you of your incompetency and how much you had to drop the things you've enjoyed just to survive in this cruel world.
Due to the letters' spontaneous appearances, it leads you to throw away most of them or read some of them in case your curiosity gets the better of you. This is one of those scenarios that made you regret opening the cards.
"You know Y/N, I had an awful dream last night. I dreamt that I lost you and I was alone. Not being able to watch you from the sidelines made me realize that I hold you more dearly than I expected. Hopefully, you feel the same way and please don't forget me and the things we went through together because I don't want you to forget me, just like how I can't get you out of my mind."
You never thought reading someone's confession would scare you more than a horror movie. A stranger's confession to be exact. Someone who you can't reciprocate your feelings for because they've been stalking you, leaving you random foods and money, and making you feel unsafe in your own home for over a month now.
You didn't know what to do.
You could call the police about your situation but, what if they won't believe you? If you were someone important then, they wouldn't hesitate to help you but, you weren't, you were just a nobody who's lucky enough to get a creepy admirer.
People would probably even say that you were lucky to get a stalker. They were a fool to believe you'd want that nor be lucky for something you didn't want.
The only plan you had at the moment was getting them off your back for a while. You could even move apartments, but it might take a while because you'd need to look for a suitable apartment building that you can actually pay for and live in that would be suitable for your living conditions.
As you try to come up with a scheme, you try to skim through the letters that you kept that would actually help you give clues as to who this "pretty lady" was.
As you skimmed through, you realize three things: this person has known you long enough, this person most likely lives in the same apartment building because of how they can easily access your room, this person is obsessed with your existence. The last part should have been obvious in the first place but you were in denial in the first place, which is why you avoided it.
You didn't have a solid plan on how to get rid of the stalker but, then you decided to think outside the box, instead of getting rid of them, you decide to get rid of yourself from their radar. You do this by staying in your house for a while and making sure your room is barricaded from the inside to avoid them from entering your room. If they do manage to successfully enter your room, you had to make sure you recorded it so you'd have evidence of them trespassing your house, and a reason for the Police to actually investigate your stalker and trespasser.
As you went along with your half assed plan, you had to make sure you had enough food stock for two weeks. While you isolated yourself, you took the time to look for an apartment that was fitting for your living conditions and it was actually something you can pay for.
For the past two weeks, you were relaxed and you actually felt at ease. You were looking for a new apartment, doing your chores here and there, played some MOBA games, and listened to music.
While your Spotify was on shuffle play, it suddenly played "Red Heart". You found yourself smiling as you listened to the song because it reminded you so much of your online friends Akai Haato and Haachama, who were Japanese idols. Haachama used to be an idol but she chose to quit, so her twin sister, Haato was left by herself in stardom.
The thought of Haato being alone made you frown because you feel like you contributed to her loneliness because of how busy you were. But, once you moved into the new apartment you were going to try and talk to her when you could.
After two weeks of isolating yourself, you went back to work like usual.
You opened your locker and you were met with a card shaped like a heart. You were hesitant to open it at first but, you opened it anyway because it may contain a clue that would be helpful to police, that is, if you have enough evidence for them, to the point that it would convince them to investigate the case for you.
"Hey, Y/N are you alright? You haven't left your house for almost 2 weeks and I was worried, I couldn't even leave a note in your room because you barricaded yourself in or even checked on you."
At that moment, your mind and ears were ringing with fear, a smile of disbelief sprawled out on your lips. You couldn't believe the realization that had burst forth but then you realized that said realization made sense.
Your stalker had to be one of your co-workers because they would be the only one who knew where you lived, and the locker room wasn't accessible to anyone from the outside unless they were an employee as well. Plus, you knew some employees lived in the same apartment as you just because the apartment was conveniently near the workplace.
Out of impulsivity, you decided to confront anyone. It didn't matter if your speculation was right or not, as long as you gave away the message that you wanted nothing to do with the stalker that would make them stop, at least that's what you told yourself to reason your impulsivity.
"Vicktor, did you leave this note in my locker?" You asked whilst showing the card that was shaped like a heart.
Vicktor's eyes lit up but in an amused manner, his gaze on paper you were showcasing. "AWWWW WIDDLE (Little) Y/N HAS AN ADMIRER!"
Based on his eyes and teasing alone, you knew Vicktor wasn't the stalker but, you couldn't be too sure, for all you knew he was putting up an act. Because of your deduction, you decided to turn to the blonde male that beside Vicktor.
"Amane, did you leave this-" Unfortunately you were interrupted by Amane tackling your side and nudging your side.
"Y/N YOU SLY FOX! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU HAD IT IN YOU!" The blonde coworker loudly teased along with a large smug look on his face.
"YOU WERE SO SOCIALLY AWKWARD THAT I DIDN'T THINK YOU'D END UP WITH SOMEONE!" Vicktor loudly declared which only irked you to shove a foot up his mouth to silence him to death.
You grabbed Vicktor's collar then threatened the fucker with your darkest glare. "Listen here you fuck face, I asked you a question, did you leave this in my locker or not?"
"Calm down Y/N, I'm sure Vicktor didn't mean to-" Amane tried to pacify you but you interrupted him.
"My feelings are out of the question, I'm asking whether you did it or not." You stated, your eyes never leaving Vicktor's fearful eyes.
You saw him blink for a moment, a calm look glazing his brown hues but, you knew it was an act. "What makes you think I'd send a letter to someone like you?"
"A lonely, good for nothing, and anti-social freak like you. Who can't even take a joke!"
You won't lie, that statement hurts. You tried to stay unbothered and strong but your hold on Vicktor's collar had loosened which didn't go unnoticed by the male.
"You know, I bet whoever left that card only did it to mess with you because they know you're so easy to mess with." The red-headed male said with a smile that looked like it was weary instead of a threat towards your direction. Despite the weak attempt, it pushed you to your edge.
"VICKTOR-" Amane was about to tell him to shut up but his azure orbs and mouth only widened as he witnessed it.
You punched him square in the jaw. Throwing a punch hurts like hell but you don't regret it. He deserved it. The next thing you knew, you were fired from your job because of your outburst.
