Solo
Aisuru's POV
"You want me to what?!" I asked Mr. Brook in horror.
"I want you to be the final solo at the end of the year showcase this May. The senior committee also wants you to play a solo at graduation." Mr. Brook said, taking a sip of his tea.
My head had healed at the end of February, but I suddenly felt weak and woozy.
It's was now April and graduation was coming, as was summer vacation. Law and Aka had started hanging out with us more after the kidnapping fiasco.
"I-I can't!" I protested.
"Evidence shows you can, Miss LeRoux. Your music has become more powerful these past few months. The seniors loved your performance at the showcase yesterday evening." He said.
"Th-that was a duet with Lami!" I protested.
"She sang, you played. I'm well aware. That performance was basically a solo performance instrumental wise. I truely believe that you have the ability for the final solo and graduation, Miss LeRoux." Mr. Brook said.
"I-I can't. I-I'll mess up. I'll miss a note. My dress could rip. They could hate it-"
"Miss LeRoux, you need to calm down. You're working yourself in to a panic." Mr. Brook said. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down.
"S-Sorry." I said. He set down his tea.
"Miss LeRoux, look at me." He said. I looked up at him. He smiled kindly and pulled the sunglasses from his face, revealing a pair of kind, deep brown eyes.
"I honestly believe that you have the skills for this, as do your club mates, father and friends. The only one that doesn't believe it is you." He said. He looked me in the eyes.
"Can you try? At least for the showcase? If you still don't believe it then, then I won't force you to play at graduation." He said. I swollowed hard and nodded.
"I'll try." I said. He grinned brightly at me.
"Go on home then, Miss LeRoux. You are free to perform whatever you wish. Have nice evening." He said. I nodded with a weak "you too" before darting out of his office.
"Well?!" Lissy asked me with excitement.
"I-I'm going to be the solo at he end of the showcase." I said. She squealed and hugged me.
"That's so exciting!" She said.
"I'm so scared." I said.
"No worries! You won't get kidnapped this time!" Lissy said with a grin.
"Not about that. Ever since Mr. Brook started letting either Ki or Luffy backstage I haven't been worried about that. It's about the performance. The only solos I've done have been for my dad or Luffy and his family. I've never done a solo in front of a large crowd before." I said weakly.
"LUFFY!" Lissy called over. Luffy darted up to me.
"She needs air. She's nervous about the showcase." Lissy said. I felt Luffy hoist me up off my feet and pulled me outside, Lissy following with my violin case.
"There. Better?" He asked. I took a deep breath.
"Kinda." I said.
"Ai-chan. You don't need to be nervous. You'll do amazing at the showcase. I know you will." Luffy said, holding me close.
"I'm just so nervous. I've never performed for a large crowd alone before. Someone has always been on stage with me." I said. Luffy grabbed my chin and gently turned my head to him. He pressed a kiss against my lips. I leaned in to the kiss.
"I believe in you." He said to me when we parted. Lissy was taking multiple pictures of us, no doubt sending them to Bartolomeo and her Aunt Akaoni. I rested my head against his shoulder.
"You'll be there, right?" I asked him. He grinned.
"Of course! My last game is next weekend, so nothing can possibly stop me from being there for you!" He said. I smiled. He tugged my hand and we began to walk home. I was flipping through all of the songs I knew that I could possibly play at the showcase.
"Hey, wanna watch a movie when we get back you yours?" Luffy asked. I smiled brightly.
"Yes!" I said. He grinned and pulled me closer. We got back to my place and put in Disney's Pocahontas. As we watched, a bright grin over took my face as I knew exactly what song to to play at the showcase.
Time skip
I shook nervously. I played with the hem of my dress.
"Hey." Luffy whispered to me. I looked at him. He leaned in a pressed a kiss to my lips.
"You can do this. I believe in you." He said. I nodded.
"And now, for our final solo of the night, Aisuru LeRoux, performing "Colors of the Wind" from Disney's Pocahontas." Mr. Brook announced. I walked out on stage. The audience applauded as I walked in stage. I saw Dad, Makino, Ki, Zoro, Aka, Law, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Kaya, Sabo, Ace and a disguised Aoi in the front row.
I put my violin under my chin and placed the bow across the strings. I closed my eyes, imagining that I was in Luffy's living room, Dad, Makino, Sabo, Ace, Aoi, Koala and Luffy with their eyes on me. Only them and me. I drew in a breath and began to play.

I lowered my bow as I finished the song. The performance hall was filled with cheers. I blinked as I received a standing ovation.
I felt tears rise to my eyes. I bowed to the audience and smiled brightly. I walked off the stage with a large grin on my face.
After my violin was securely put away, Luffy's hands were on my waist and he pulled me in to a kiss.
"I told you, Ai-chan!" He grinned. I grinned back up at him and hugged him tightly. I kissed him warmly.
"You were right!" I said and kissed his cheeks. We packed up my things and headed out to meet with everyone else.
"Ai-chan." Luffy said, stopping for a moment.
"Hm?" I asked, turning and looking at him. I blinked in surprise when he produced a white rose from behind his back. A soft blush was on his cheeks. I smiled and took the rose from his hands. I kissed his cheek as I did so.
"Thank you, Luffy." I said. He grinned at me and kissed my forehead.
"Aisuru! That was amazing!" Aka cheered as she hugged me. I giggled.
"Thanks, Aka." I said.
"So, your definately playing at graduation, right? Please?" Aka asked. Law pulled her off of me.
"Aka-ya, don't pressure the girl." Law said with a scowl. Aka pouted. I giggled.
"It's alright, Law. I'll think about it." I said.
"Yay!" Aka cheered, hugging me tightly. I giggled as Law pulled her off of me again. I was going to miss having them around. I already knew that Law had a scholarship to Heart Medical College and Aka was going to be studying photography at the Whitebeard Institute of Fine Arts not too far away from HMC.
"Trafalgar Law?" A voice asked. we turned to see who called for my friend. A police officer stood behind us with a solemn look on his face.
"Yes, Officer? Can I help you?" Law asked. The officer gave him a sad look.
"It's your family. They were in a car accident. Your parents are alright, but your sister is in critical condition." The officer said.
I could see Law's world shatter apart in his eyes.
