Meeting
I sat next to Sabo in the Café. I was originally between him and Luffy, but Luffy ran to the bathroom. I watched as Sabo nervously tapped his fingers on the table.
"Are you okay?" I asked. He sighed softly.
"Honestly? Not really. I can't help but be worried. I can't help but think that maybe Luffy would be more at ease with Ace here, but then again, Ace has a tendancy to be a little more... hostile in situations involving Luffy and if it comes down to protecting him. All the time when we were kids, I was pulling Ace out of fights that involved protecting Luffy." Sabo said. I nodded.
"Well, you're his big brother. You're supposed to worry about him." I said with a giggle. Sabo smirked at me.
"Says the girl that's only just barely becoming an older sibling." He teased. I grinned at him.
"Well I have to learn somewhere, right?" I asked him. He chuckled. A girl stood at the end of our table.
"Sabo?" She asked. Sabo looked up. I watched as his blue eyes widened in surprise.
"Yue?" He asked. I looked at the girl. She had long, black hair. She had a pair of glasses that sat on her face over stunning emerald eyes.
Something about this girl seemed... familiar to me.
"You know her, Sabo?" I asked. He nodded.
"She's my boss's daughter." He said. I blinked. I looked at the woman, Yue. She looked at the number on our table.
"Table 15...." she murmured. Sabo nodded. Her eyebrows pulled together.
"So... my little brother had been with you this whole time?" She asked. Sabo's jaw dropped.
"You're Luffy's sister?" He asked. Now I could see why she looked familiar. Her eyes were the same shape as Luffy's. She nodded. She looked around.
"Where is Luffy?" She asked.
"He's in the bathroom. Take a seat." Sabo said. Yue nodded and sat down.
"Oh, um. Dad won't be joining us today. He got caught up in work again, but I'm sure you know that." She said to Sabo. Sabo nodded.
"That explains why he was more frusterated than usual last night when I left work." He said. I hummed. Luffy had been gone for a long time. Where was he? I grabbed my phone and texted him.
Me: where are you?
Luffy: I'm outside. I needed some air.
I sighed and stood up.
"I'll be right back." I said. I walked out to the out side terrace. I saw Luffy leaning against the railing. His hat shaded his eyes. I walked over to him and looped my arm through his and rested my head in his shoulder.
"Are you okay?" I asked. He sighed softly and leaned his head on mine.
"I'm scared." He admitted softly. I rubbed his arm.
"Don't be. You're sister is here. She seems nice. And Sabo knows her." I said softly.
"He does?" He asked. I nodded. I looked up at him.
"Luffy. Everything will be okay. Let's go back inside now." I said. He nodded and held my hand.
"Ai-chan?" He said. I hummed.
"I love you." He said. I rose on to my toes and kissed his cheek.
"I love you, too, Luffy." I said. We walked back inside and to the table. Sabo and Yue were now on the same side of the table. Luffy halted his steps. I tugged on his hand to get him going.
"You can do it." I said. He swallowed hard. Sabo looked up as we approached.
"There you are, Luffy!" He called. Yue turned and stared at Luffy. Luffy stared back at Yue.
"Luffy, this is Yue, your older sister." Sabo said.
"Hi." Luffy said. Yue stood up and came over to him. I let go of his hand and sat opposite of Sabo. The two siblings stared at each other.
Slowly, Yue raised her hand and cupped Luffy's cheek. She smiled and looked ready to cry.
"You have Dad's eyes. Except the shape. That's from Mom." She said softly. Luffy stared at her.
"You don't look much like me for my older sister..." Luffy said. Yue laughed. My eyebrows rose. Her laugh matched Luffy's.
"Shishishishi, probably because you look more like Dad and I look more like Mom." She said. Luffy's eyes had widened at her laugh.
"You laugh like me." He said, making her laugh again.
"Is that any surprise? We're siblings after all!" She said with a grin. Sabo and I looked at each other. Even her grin matched Luffy's. Yue was definitely Luffy's sister.
"Oh, yeah, um... Dad couldn't make it. He got caught up in work." Yue told Luffy after the two sat down. Yue by Sabo, Luffy by me. Luffy smiled.
"That's alright. I can meet him another time." Luffy said.
"Really, I could just take Luffy to work with me to meet him." Sabo said. Luffy gave Sabo a look.
"You work with my dad?" Luffy asked. Sabo grinned sheepishly.
"He's kinda my boss..." Sabo said. Luffy blinked at him.
"He's... your boss..." Luffy said slowly. Sabo and Yue nodded.
"My Dad is the Director of the Revolutionary Police." Luffy said with surprise in his voice.
"Yeah, but never mind that. Tell me about you. How are things at school? At home?" Yue asked. Luffy grinned and immediately started telling her about school and the things we've done. Yue's emerald green eyes were trained on him the entire time. He told her about our friends, our classes, his basket ball games. Then he told her about me.
"You keep talking about a girl named Aisuru. Is she your crush?" Yue asked. Luffy grinned.
"She's my girlfriend!" He said happily.
"Aisuru is actually the girl next to Luffy." Sabo said. Yue's eyes turned to me in surprise.
"Really? You're my little brother's girlfriend?" She asked. I nodded. She grinned at me, once again showing that she was indeed Luffy's sister.
"And how is that?" She asked. I grinned and hugged Luffy.
"He's the sweetest boyfriend in the whole world! He's always so nice to me. He walks me to class and walks me home from school. He always asks me to play my violin for him." I said.
"Really? You play violin?" She asked. I nodded with a bright smile. She grinned at me again.
"And Luffy, what do you-" Luffy didn't let her finish.
"Ai-chan is the best! She makes lunches for me and they're all really good! She plays the prettiest music in the world! She also kisses the best!" He said, making me blush. Yue laughed.
"That so? So are you two in love?" She asked. I blushed harder at the question.
"Yup! I love Ai-chan!" He said. I giggled and hid my face in Luffy's shoulder.
"They are so cute together. Next time you run in to Ace, ask him to show you all the pictures he took of them on Luffy's birthday and at Christmas." Sabo said.
"S-Sabo!" I said, hiding more in to Luffy.
"Aaaawww, how cute!" Yue said with a small laugh.
Time Skip
"Really, so Ace, Aoi and Sabo all went to high school with your older sister, and Sabo works for your Dad?" Zoro asked at lunch that Monday. Luffy nodded.
"Pretty cool, huh?" He asked. Nami shrugged.
"Yeah, it's pretty neat that they're so close, but never once in the time that Sabo has known your sister and father and knowing your last name, he never put together the names? If it was Ace I'd probably understand. But I thought Sabo was the smart one of you three." Nami said. I giggled at her.
"But seriously, Yue is actually really nice. And from what I could see, she has a crush on Sabo." I said. Luffy looked at me.
"Really?" He asked. I nodded.
"You couldn't tell? She blushed every time he complimented her, she held his hand a little longer when he helped her stand up, she stared at him a lot." I said.
"Wow, sounds to me like Yue is in love with Sabo." Ki said with a laugh. I grinned.
"That would be kinda cool, if Yue and Sabo liked each other." Luffy said. I smiled.
"Maybe Sabo does like Yue. He was staring at her the whole time you guys were talking." I said. Luffy grinned.
"You have to try to get them together!" Nami said. I giggled.
"I think I'll leave that to Aoi. When Sabo told her that Yue was Luffy's sister, she told me how she had always tried to get Sabo and Yue together in high school." I said. Nami giggled.
"I can't wait to see how this turns out." She said.
