Trigger Warning: Depression and suicidal.

Aisuru's POV

Lami's funeral was today. The Music Club all teamed up together to make a tribute to Lami. Everyone voted on who would play along with the tribute, and everyone decided that since I was there when Lami died, I would play a duet with Mr. Brook. There was no question of what we were going to play. I remembered when we partnered for the concert, she told me that The Little Mermaid was her favorite Disney movie.

I sat down between Dad and Luffy after I was done. I could see Law holding tight to Aka as he fought back more sobs. Aka was harshly biting her lip as she held him. Tears spilled down her cheeks and in to Law's hair. I leaned my head on Luffy's shoulder while Dad held my hand.

The time to bury Lami came. Luffy held my hand as we walked out together.

"Aisuru-ya." I heard. Luffy and I turned and saw Law there. He looked horrible. There were dark circles under his eyes and he looked like he was dead, too.

"Yes, Law?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady. Suddenly, Law was hugging me.

"Thank you. Lami would have loved that." He said. I returned the hug.

"Of course." Was the only thing I could manage to say. Law released me and took Aka's hand again. Aka stared at the ground. Law wrapped his arms around her and leaned on her. Luffy and I turned to leave. I couldn't bare seeing them, my two toughest friends breaking apart like that.

Time skip

The halls were silent. Everyone wore a little yellow ribbon on their shirts to commemorate Lami. Law hadn't shown up to school all week and Aka was quieter than normal.

I sighed and leaned against my locker. I was so tired of everyone being so sad. I had ended up agreeing to playing at graduation. I needed to see some happy faces. But everyone was just so sad. Everyone had liked Lami. And who could blame them? She had always been so sweet, helping everyone where she could, always having a bright smile for everyone.

"Aisuru?!" I heard a frantic voice call. I looked up and saw Aka. She looked panicked.

"Aka? What is it, what's wrong?" I asked. She had tears building in her eyes.

"I can't find Law anywhere! He's not at home, he's not answering his phone, he's not at any of the places we normally hang out. I'm so scared, Aisuru, I need to find him!" She said. I grabbed her arm.

"Calm down, Aka. Let's go meet up with the others and we'll all start looking for him. Calm down." I said. Aka held tight to me.

"Aisuru... Ever since Lami died, Law's been pressuring me to sleep with him more, but I can't bring myself to sleep with him while he's like this. Last night we had a fight and I wanted to apologize to him today, but when I got to his house he wasn't there. I'm scared that he's going to kill himself." She whispered to me. I grabbed her arms.

"I won't let him. I promise." I said. We ran to the others and told them the situation. Aka gave us all different locations to check, but she was going to stay with me at my home. I sat on the couch as Aka paced about in front of me.

"God, where is he?" She asked. My phone buzzed with a text from Nami.

"Well?" Aka asked.

"Not at the hospital." I said. Aka started pacing again. I hummed in thought.

"Aka, are there any places that you and Law go when you just want to be alone?" I asked.

"Well, when we want to be alone, we're normally in my bedroom, his bedroom or...." She trailed off.

"Aka?" I asked.

"The cliff on my uncle's property." She said coldly. I jumped to my feet.

"Take me there." I said. She grabbed her keys and we drove out to Donquixote Manor, Aka's Uncle's house. As we parked, Aka began to undo her seat belt, but I stopped her.

"Aisuru!" She said.

"Let me talk to him first. Just wait here." I said. She gave me a pleading look.

"I promised Lami that I was going to help you both. So just trust me." I said. She sighed and nodded, leaning back in her seat. I jumped out of the car and ran through the small woods up the cliff. When I got there, I saw Law sitting at the edge of the cliff, dangling his feet off the edge, staring out over a large lake. I caught my breath and walked up beside him before sitting down next to him.

"It's pretty here. I see why you'd come here." I said.

"It's peaceful." He said softly. I looked over at him. Tears were running down his cheeks. It looked like he had been crying for hours.

"What's wrong with me? I'm such a brat. I didn't want to celebrate my sister's achievement with her and she got killed because of it. Now, I can't bring myself to face my friends, I can't even look at my parents and just last night I fought with my girlfriend out of my own stupid desperation to get rid of my pain." He said.

"It's just that, Law. You're in pain. We all do stupid things while we're in pain." I said. He dropped his head and shook his head.

"I don't deserve this. Any of this. I have great friends, an amazing family, a wonderful girlfriend and yet I'm such a little shit to all of them. Even before Lami died. I don't deserve my friends. Aka-ya... She deserves so much better than me." He said. My eyes trailed to his hands and my heart rate spiked harshly.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed as I tore the pills from his hand. Prescription pain killers. The strong type. Just a small handful of these would be enough to kill him.

"Aisuru-ya. Give them back." He said, reaching for the bottle. I jumped to my feet and held the bottle out of his reach.

"Aisuru-ya!" He snapped.

"Tell me you didn't take any of these! Tell me you didn't touch them!" I yelled, tears building in my eyes. He stood up and tried to take the bottle from me again. I stepped out of his reach.

"Law!" I yelled.

"Aisuru-ya, it's none of your business, give them back!" He ordered, swinging for the bottle again. I jumped back and away from him, keeping the bottle away from them.

"This is my business, Law! Now answer me! Did you take any of these?!" I yelled.

"Not yet, now give them back!" He said.

"No!" He lunged for me. I turned and ran, climbing up the nearest tree to get away. He chased after me. I held the pills out at arms length. If he tried to grab them from me, he'd make us both fall.

"Aisuru-ya, stop this! Just give me the damn pills!"

Slap!

Law stared at me, completely shocked that I just slapped him.

"Do you really think this is your only option? What about your friends? Your family? The only thing you would do by killing yourself if hurt them more than they already are! And what about Lami, huh? Did you already forget about her?" I asked. He glared harshly at me.

"What the hell do you know about my sister?!" He yelled at me.

"Not much, but I know enough to know that if she saw this it would break her heart!" I said. Law glared at me again.

"You don't know a damn thing!" He yelled.

Crack!

I gave him and open hand slap to the face with all of my might. His head snapped to the side, a red print forming on his cheek.

"You promised, Law! You promised her that you were going to graduate! That you were going to college! That you were going to be a surgeon! Does that promise mean nothing to you?! Did you lie to your sister?" I asked. He looked down.

"And what about Aka? Are you going to just leave her alone?" I asked. Law's shoulders shook as he tried not to cry.

"Law.... Aka told me what your fight was about." I said. His head snapped up and he stared at me.

"Do you really want to do that to her? Do you really want to ruin your relationship with her? She loves you, Law. She's just as hurt over this as you are. And this-" I held up the drugs "is only going to make it worse. I know you're in pain, Law. We all are. Your Mom, your Dad, Music Club, Aka, Me. We all are hurt over this. But Lami made us promise her we wouldn't give up. Are you going to break your promise? Are you going to hurt your family and Aka even more?" I asked. He returned his eyes to the branch we sat on.

"You scared her, you know?" I asked. He sniffed.

"She went to your house to try to apologize about your fight. When she could find you, she came running to me. She was scared out of her mind, Law. She's probably in tears right now she's so scared." I said.

"Why... Why does she stay with me when I just keep hurting her?" He cried.

"Because she loves you. She doesn't want to lose you and she believes that one day, you're going to stop hurting her. You love her, don't you?" I asked. He nodded, soft sobs breaking from his throat.

"Then you need to go be with her. She's waiting back at the car." I said. He shook violently.

"I can't. She-" He started.

"Enough." I stopped him. I reached out and made him look at me.

"She needs you. She needs to know you're okay. She doesn't care if you think you deserve her or not. She just wants to be with you. She wants- no- she needs you alive. Now, are you going to keep your promise to Lami and climb down from this tree, go back to your girlfriend, and get better and recover properly, or are we going to sit here and argue until either you take option one or one of us falls?" I asked. Law wiped his eyes.

"Aka-ya... I need Aka-ya...." He cried.

"Then go to her." I said. Law began to climb down the tree as fast as he could. I followed after him. We walked down to the foot. Aka stood outside of her car, pacing and tears streaming down her cheeks. Parts of her hair had been torn out of her braid in a panic. I saw a tall blonde man standing with her. I assumed that it was her uncle.

"A-Aka-ya." Law spoke with a shaky voice. Aka turned and ran directly in to his arms, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, crying heavily. Law held her tight against his chest, crying in to her hair.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I love you... I'm sorry." He cried. Aka continued to cry in to his neck. At this point, I think its the only thing she could do.

The tall man I assumed was Aka's uncle looked over at me.

"My niece and Law will be staying here tonight. I already called your father. He's on his way to pick you up." He said.

"Oh. Th-Thank you. Wi-Will they-" I started.

"Those two will be fine. I have heavy security in my manor. If Law tries anything again, they'll stop him before he has a chance to grab anything that he could hurt himself with." He said. I nodded, looking over at Aka and Law as they held each other tightly.

"I'll just wait by the trees... I think they need some alone time." I said and walked towards the trees while Aka's uncle pulled her and Law back to his home.

Dad pulled up pretty soon and I climbed in the car.

"What the hell were you doing out here on Doflamingo's property?" He sounded mad.

"Law..." I said silently.

"What about Law?"

"... was going to kill himself here. I came here to stop him." I said. I felt dad freeze.

"He what?" He asked. I raised the bottle of pills in my hand.

"He was going to use these... I stopped him... barely... but I stopped him." I said. Tears of relief spilled down my cheeks.

"I don't ever want to have to do that again...." I cried.
