Healing

Aisuru was taken to the hospital for the damaged Jordan did to her head.

Shanks pressed charges against Jordan. Jordan was being taken to a mental hospital. After he had been healed from that, he was going to prison.

Mr. Brook had been furious when he heard. He immediately put out for a new student manager, and assured Shanks that a thorough check would be done on each applicant. He appologized to Aisuru multiple times and promised her it would never happpen again.

Luffy had become oddly distant from... everyone. Everyone was starting to get worried.

Aisuru frowned as she stared out her window. She was supposed to be in bedrest until her head healed. She was glad to be home, but thanks to the damage Jordan did, she could pass out or become light headed at any time.

"He promised he wouldn't leave me alone again." She thought. She stood up and pulled on her slippers.

"Daddy, I'm going for a walk." She called. Shanks dropped what he was doing and ran over to her.

"Do you want me to come with you?" He asked. Aisuru smiled up at her father.

"I'm okay, Dad. I won't leave the street. I'm just going up the hill." She said. Shanks looked at her with concerned eyes.

"Are you sure, sweetie?" He asked. Aisuru smiled again

"I'm sure. I haven't had any headaches today, so I'll be fine. I just need some air." She said. Shanks sighed and kissed her head.

"Do you have your phone with you?" He asked. She held up the phone inside the fox case.

"Check!" She said with a grin. Shanks handed her a hat to cover the bandages so no one would panic and call for the hospital.

"Don't be gone too long." He said. She nodded softly.

"I'll be back soon. Love you." She said. She walked outside and walked up the hill. It only took her 15 minutes to get to the house she was looking for. She climbed the stairs and rang the bell by the door.

The door swung open, revealing a tall man with messy black hair in only a pair of shorts and a towel hung over his shoulders. His dark eyes blinked in surprise at her.

"Oh, Aisuru! Good to see you're up and about!" He said and grinned at her. Aisuru smiled up at him.

"Hi, Ace. Is Luffy home?" She asked. Ace smiled.

"Of course. Come on in, I'll grab him for ya." He said. Aisuru stepped in and took a seat on the couch.

"Hey, Aisuru. Glad to see you're okay." Sabo said, wearing a similar attire to Ace, only his hair was dripping wet. Aisuru noticed the burn marks on his chest and shoulder. The same ones he received with the scar on his eye if she remembered correctly from when they first met.

"Thanks to you." Aisuru said with a smile. He grinned at her and headed in to the kitchen.

"Ace, come on, your turn to- oh, Aisuru!" Aoi's voice came from the top of the stairs. Aisuru smiled at Aoi.

"Looks like you're doing much better. That's good. I was worried when Sabo told me what happened." She said with a smile. Aisuru grinned.

"I'm alright." She said. Aoi gave her a relieved smile.

"That's relieving to hear. Hope your head finishes healing soon. Luffy's been very worried about you." Aoi said and disappeared back up stairs. Aisuru stared at her hands.

"Ai-chan?!" Aisuru looked up in time to see Luffy come falling down the stairs. She leaped to her feet and ran to him.

"Luffy! Are you alright?!" She asked kneeling beside him and helping him sit up.

"I'm fine, but what about you? Aren't you still hurt? You should be home resting." He said, worry in his eyes and voice.

"I... I wanted to see you." She said, looking down at he floor between them.

"Everyone says you've been a lot quieter. And I haven't even seen you since that night..." She said. Luffy stared at her.

"Did I do something to upset you? Why don't you ever come visit me? I miss you." She said softly.

"How...." he said softly. She looked up at him, surprised to find tears in his eyes.

"How can you still want me after what I did?" He asked. She blinked at him.

"Luffy?" She asked. Luffy wiped his eyes.

"Ai-chan, I let you get kidnapped when I promised I was going to always protect you. How can you still want me after that?" He cried. Aisuru cupped his cheeks and made him look at her.

"That wasn't your fault, it was Jordan's. He tricked us in to thinking he was our friend. There is no way that you could have known, Luffy. Don't blame yourself. It wasn't your fault." She said. Luffy stared at her. She smiled at him and wiped away his tears gently.

"It's thanks to you that I'm here, Luffy. If you hadn't run right to Jordan's house, I probably wouldn't have been found and hurt worse than what I was. If anything, you saved me, Luffy." She said. Luffy gently wrapped his hand around her wrists.

"You mean it?" He asked. She nodded. He pulled her in to a tight hug.

"I was scared you wouldn't want me anymore." He said. She giggled and nuzzled his neck.

"Why would you ever think that? You're one of the best things to ever happen to me. I know you can protect me and I feel so safe with you. How could I not want you?" She asked. Luffy held her tight and kissed her head gently. After a moment of sitting there and cuddling, the two stood up.

"Aaaawwww, how cute!"

They looked up and saw Aoi sitting at the top of the stairs, watching them the whole time with a bright smile on her face. Aisuru blushed and hid her face in Luffy's chest. Aoi giggled at them.

"You guys are sooo cuuuuuute." She cooed at them.

"Come on, babe, let the lovebirds be." Ace chuckled. Aoi pouted up at Ace.

"Awww, but my OTP!" She frowned. Ace chuckled at her again and pulled his wife to her feet.

"Alright, fangirl. Back to training." He said. Aoi sighed but let Ace drag her away. Luffy smiled down at Aisuru, still hiding in his chest.

"Come on, let's get you home so you can rest more." He said. Aisuru giggled and peaked up at him.

"Only if you give me a piggy back ride!" She said with a grin. Luffy laughed and agreed. Aisuru climbed up on his back and he held her up by her thighs.

"My god, that's adorable." They heard, followed by the click of a camera. They turned and saw Sabo in the doorway, camera in one hand, brownie in the other, a grin on his face. Aisuru giggled and hid her face in Luffy's neck.

After scolding his brother a bit, Luffy started to walk Aisuru home, her still clinging to his back. She rested her chin on his shoulder and hummed softly.

"I'm sorry I scared you." Luffy said. Aisuru hugged him tight.

"It's okay, Luffy. You promised you'd always be here for me, so I know you will." She said. Luffy smiled at her. She grinned and kissed his cheek.

"Aisuru?!" Shanks's worried voice came what he saw Luffy giving her a piggy back ride. Aisuru grinned.

"I'm okay, Daddy. I just wanted Luffy to give me a piggy back ride." She said.

"She's okay, Shanks. She just refused to let me take her home unless it was like this." Luffy said with a grin. Shanks took a deep breath.

"Don't scare me like that. I thought you were hurt!" Shanks said. Aisuru giggled.

"Sorry, Daddy." She said.
