First Victory

Nami, Kaya and I all sat in the crowd. I munched on popcorn as I watch Luffy run up and down the court. He passed the ball to Zoro, Zoro passed the ball to Sanji, Sanji passed it to Usopp and Usopp shot another basket. Kaya cheered for Usopp with the rest of the crowd. I smiled and clapped for him.

It had been a full month since I joined music club. I had been getting strange notes in my locker. They weren't threatening, so it wasn't Bridget, Jasmine and Yurra's return. They were nice and complimenting, but I was starting to get a little freaked out. They weren't from Luffy, and the camera wasn't picking up anyone putting anything in my locker.

But, Lissy and I were getting really good with our performance. She had even started singing during practice and it was sounding good. Jordan had even offered to be a test audience for us. He was so sweet to us. I was nervous and excited for the performance, but I couldn't tell which was stronger at the moment.

"Go, Luffy!" Nami cheered. I watched as Luffy leapt in to the air and dunked the ball in to the net. I cheered loudly for my boyfriend.

"It's said there's a special half time show. I wonder what it is." Kaya hummed.

"Well, the Valentine's dance is coming up. I bet one of the basketball players is asking their girlfriend or crush to the dance." Nami said. I giggled.

"That's cute." I said. Kaya and Nami gave me sneaky smiles.

"Huh? What are those looks for?" I asked. They grinned.

"No reason~" they sang. I stared at my friends.

"You guys are acting really strange tonight." I said.

"Are we?" They hummed. I gave them a look. They burst in to laughter at my look.

"We will now start the half time show!" The announcer said. The cheerleaders took the floor and began to do a cool dance. I watched the show. Five of the girls came out with giant white boards. I was curious. Slowly they turned the boards around to the beat.

Valentine's Dance

With me?

I blinked. I looked over at Nami and Kaya as they grinned brightly at me. They pointed back to the court. I looked out and saw Luffy standing there with a bouquet of roses with a bright grin on his face. I covered my mouth.

"Yes or no?" Nami asked. She and Kaya held out two boards. One in Blue that said No, the other in Red that said yes. I grinned and took my answer and stood up. The spotlight fell on me as I did. I held up my answer.

"YES!" I yelled out. Luffy grinned and ran up to me. He pulled me in to a kiss and gave me the roses.

"Be my Valentine, Ai-chan?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Yes." I said. He kissed me again. The cheerleaders and the rest of the basketball team and crowd cheered for us. Even the other team was cheering.

Finally, halftime was up and the game resumed. I held the roses with a bright smile. I felt my face was warm with a bright blush.

We were down to the final quarter. The scores were tired up. Luffy had to make one last shot and the game was ours. He looked over at me. I smiled back at him. He turned his head to the hoop and threw the ball.

I felt a bright grin over take my face as it was nothing but net. I handed my roses to Kaya and jumped from my seat. I ran out to the court and in to Luffy's arms. He kissed me tenderly and spun around with me in his arms. The rest of the team grouped around us, ruffling Luffy's hair and patting him on the back. I giggled and hugged him tightly. I kissed his cheeks.

"I knew you could do it!" I said. He smiled and kissed me against

"All because you believed in me." He said. I giggled and hugged him tightly.

After I got my roses back from Kaya, I waited outside the locker rooms with Dad.

"You knew he was going to ask me to Valentines tonight." I said. Dad grinned down at me.

"Who do you think gave him the idea?" He asked with a chuckle. I grinned up at my father. The door opened and Luffy walked out with Zoro, Usopp and Sanji.

"Ooooooohhh." The guys all teased him when they saw me. Luffy laughed and pushed them off. He walked over to me with a bright grin.

"Hi there." He said. I smiled up at him.

"Hi." I said. He cupped my cheeks and kissed me softly. I smiled and returned the kiss.

"I can't think of a better way to celebrate my first basketball victory than with my beautiful girlfriend." He said. I giggled and kissed him again. He smiled and held my hand.

"Ready to go?" Dad asked. We smiled and nodded, heading back to the car. I sat by Luffy all the way back to his house.

"See you at school." He said.

"See ya." I said and kissed his cheek. He smiled and kissed my forehead. He climbed out of the car and walked back to his house. Dad drove us home.

"I'm happy to see you so happy, Aisuru." Dad said to me. I smiled at him through the mirror.

"I don't see how I could be upset! For once, things are starting to go right." I said with a smile, softly hugging my roses. Dad chuckled at me. I grinned back at him.

"I love you, baby girl." He said. I grinned brighter.

"I love you, too, Daddy." I said.

When we got home, I put my flowers in a vase on my desk, then crawled in to bed and fell asleep.

Shanks's POV

I waited until Aisuru was sound asleep before I snuck in to her room. I knelt by her bed and watched her sleep. I smiled at my little princess. She grunted and shifted in her sleep, a frown forming on her lips. I reached out and stroked her hair away from her face. Her frown intensified and her eyebrows twitched.

"Daddy... help..." she whimpered in her sleep.

"I'm here, princess." I whispered, stroking her cheek. She nuzzled in to my hand. She had been having nightmares for the past few weeks, so I've been sneaking in to her room every night to try to keep the nightmares away by singing the song I always sang to her when she was a baby.

"Yohoho, yohohoho
Yohoho, yohohoho
Yohoho, yohohoho
Yohoho, yohohoho.
Gather up all of the crew
It's time to ship out Binks's brew
Sea wind blows, to where who knows?
The waves will be our guide.
O'er across the ocean's tide,
Rays of sunshine far and wide.
Birds they sing
Of cheerful things
In circles passing by.
Bid farewell to weaver's town
Say so long to port renowned
Sing a song
It won't be long
Until we're casting off."

I sang softly. Aisuru smiled in her sleep. I smiled back and kissed her head.

"I love you, little princess. You'll always be safe here." I said. I pulled the blankets up over her shoulders and brushed her hair back. She giggled in her sleep and burrowed in to her pillow. I chuckled and stepped out of the room, closing the door and returning to my own bedroom.
