First Day
Aisuru sat silently as she studied her school schedule. She was sitting in the principal's office. No, she wasn't in trouble. Shanks was the principal, so she was just in his office until school started.
"Aisuru, sweetie, why don't you go try to make some new friends? Or try to find where all your classes are?" Shanks asked.
"I-I'm fine here, Dad." She said softly. Shanks nodded to the secretary, then sat by his daughter.
"Hey, I know you're a little nervous, but you'll be okay. You're you, after all." Shanks said. Aisuru looked back down at her schedule. Shanks gently took her hand.
"It's okay. There are plenty of kids here that are nice. You know what they say, strangers are friends that you just haven't met yet. You'll meet someone. Just go on out there and find them." He encouraged.
"Are you sure?" She asked. Shanks grinned at her.
"Piece of cake." He said.
Slowly, Aisuru stood up and pulled her messenger bag on to her shoulder.
"Okay. I'll see you after school, Daddy." She said.
"Love you, baby girl."
"Love you, too, Daddy." She said. She headed out of the principal's office and walked out in to the courtyard of the school.
She stopped in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. She wore a simple gray tee shirt and knee length denim shorts and some simple sneakers. A simple, yet approachable look. She headed out to the courtyard where students were starting to arrive and gather in to groups to talk about summer vacation.
"Hey! You must be Aisuru, huh?" She heard. She turned her head and saw a boy with bushy dark hair, tanned skin and a long nose. He had a bright grin and a friendly air about him. He wore olive green overalls over a yellow tee shirt. He wore a green bandana on his head.
"Um..." she said softly.
"My name is Usopp. My dad is Yasopp, the PE teacher? My dad has been a friend of your dad's for a long time." He said.
"Oh. That's how you know me." She said quietly. He grinned at her. He held his hand out to her.
"Nice to meet ya!" He said. Slowly, Aisuru reached out to shake his hand.
"Come on, I'll show you around the school yard." He said. Aisuru nodded and followed him as he showed her around.
"Usopp, do you have a lot of friends?" She asked. Usopp looked back at her.
"Eh, kinda. We have extended friends, but our main group is actually fairly small." He said. Aisuru blinked up at him.
"We're also kinda the popular kids in a sense." He said. Aisuru blinked again.
"Popular how?" She asked. Usopp sweat dropped.
"Well, three of our guys have a tendency to get on to trouble a lot. But, no worries! They all listen to me! I'm kinda like the leader of the group! They all call me Boss Usopp!" He said with a bright grin. Aisuru blinked at him with a smile.
"Really? So you're pretty good at keeping them under control?" She asked.
"All but one, bit he really only listens to Principal LeRoux." Usopp said.
"Don't tell me you're falling for his lies."
"Gaaaaaah! Ki, come on, what did I tell you about sneaking up on me?! And come on, she was starting to look up to me!" Usopp cried, turning on the girl behind him that had a strip of bacon hanging out of her mouth.
"Hi, Ki." Aisuru said.
"Heya, Aisuru." Ki said.
"Oh? You know each other?" Usopp asked.
"Hell yeah. Aisuru is the girl I always played with when we were little." Ki said, slinging an arm over Aisuru's shoulder.
"Oh! Well, since you're here that can only mean the others are, too. Minus Zoro, of course." Usopp said.
"What's that supposed to mean, Long nose?" Ki growled.
"You're slow and Zoro has no sense of direction." Usopp said.
"I move faster in sword fighting." She grumbled.
"Anyways, you have shown Aisuru our hang outs, right?" Ki asked. Usopp froze for a moment.
"Okay, well, I guess not. Anyways, Aisuru. Our crew has three hang outs. We meet by the garden area in the mornings, we eat lunch on the roof and then we meet in front of the fountain in the courtyard after school." Ki said.
"Right... how do I get to the roof?" Aisuru asked. Ki grabbed her schedule.
"Huh, I've got 3rd hour math with ya. I'll show you how to get there after class." Ki said.
"Ki, Usopp told me that the group is popular. Is that true?" Aisuru asked. Ki shrugged.
"More or less, I guess. We have the three hottest guys in school in our group and Nami and I are considered the hottest girls in school, but who cares?" Ki said. Aisuru sensed a presence behind her. Before she had time to react, the person spoke.
"Boo." A low, deep voice came. Ki leaped and turned, intending to punch the person, but her reaction turned from a punch to a hug.
"Zoro!" She said and hugged the boy behind her. The boy, Zoro, chuckled and hugged her back.
"Hey there hot stuff. Miss me?" He asked. Ki kissed his cheek.
"Yes!" She said. She pulled away and punched him in the arm. Aisuru cringed at it. Ki had quite a muscle build on her, though it seemed that Zoro did, too. Zoro wore a comfy looking white tee shirt and dark blue jeans with black boots.
"And stop scaring me!" She snapped. Zoro chuckled, wrapping an arm around Ki's waist.
"Sorry, beautiful." He said and kissed Ki. Aisuru and Usopp coughed. The couple broke away from each other and looked over at the two.
"Oh, right, Zoro, this is Aisuru, my childhood friend. Aisuru, this is my boyfriend, Zoro." Ki said. Aisuru waved.
"Hey." Zoro said. After that, Ki, Zoro and Usopp lead Aisuru to the garden area where the rest of the group was.
