Bullies

Aisuru's POV

"Hey, Sanji. Could I ask you a favor?" I asked softly. Sanji smiled at me.

"Sure, Aisuru-chan! What do you need?" He asked.

"Well... I want to make a special lunch for Luffy... I was wondering if you could help me?" I asked. He smiled brightly.

"I would love to help! You and I both have second period free, so meet me in the cooking club then!" He said. I nodded and hurried off to my first class. I sat down and noticed there were a bunch of notes on my desk.

We warned you. This is your last chance. Break up with Luffy or we will destroy you.

I blinked.

"What?" I whispered. I looked at the next note.

We will take you down and make all of your friends hate you.

I felt my eyebrows pull together.

Bitch, I warned you.

I felt tears spring to my eyes.

"Aisuru? Are you okay?" I heard Kaya asked. She reached over and grabbed one of the notes. She gasped.

"This is the handwritting of Rowan, Jasmine and Almada, Yurra!" She said. I slapped my notebook down on the notes.

"Is something wrong, Miss LeRoux?" Asked Miss Nico.

"N-No. Everything is fine." I said. Miss Nico stared at me and Kaya for a second, then continued towards her desk.

"Aisuru, why didn't you tell her?" Kaya asked.

"They're just notes. That's all they can do. If they do anything worse to me, I could have them expelled and they know it. They aren't going to do anything else. All I have to do is throw away the notes and they'll leave me alone." I whispered to her.

"Aisuru." Kaya whispered.

"This happened all the time at my old school. I know how to handle it." I gave her a smile, though my gut wrenched inside.

I just had to stick it out for this period. I'll be fine. I know I will.

I looked straight ahead and saw Yurra staring right at me. Her dark green hair shadowed her face, making her look like one of the Titans from Attack on Titan. I swollowed hard.

"Miss Almada, Miss Rowan, would you mind staying after class to talk with me please?" Miss Nico asked. I saw Kaya's hands moving from the corner of my eyes. Was she speaking in sign language to Miss Nico?

The bell to end class rang and I gathered up my things, making sure to grab the notes on my desk and running out of the class before Miss Nico could call me back.

I stopped around the corner and panted a little bit. I wiped my eyes and fixed a grin. After all, Sanji was going to help me make a special lunch for Luffy!

The thought lightened my heart just a bit and I headed towards the cooking club room. I opened the door and walked in.

"Sanji?" I asked. My friend's head popped up from the other side of the counter in the middle of the room.

"Ah, just on time! Huh? Are you okay, Aisuru? You look like you've been crying." He said. I raised my hands to my cheeks.

"Oh. I-I'm fine. I did run here." I lied. He scowled at me and I swollowed hard. He set down the utensils he had been holding and walked over to me.

"Aisuru, you don't need to lie to me. We're friends, aren't we?" He asked. I looked at the ground.

"Hey, I'll keep it to myself if you don't want anyone else to know. I promise." He said. I drew a deep breath and reached in to my history book. I handed him the notes.

"Aisuru, we need to take these to someone. I'd recoginize Jasmine's hand writting anywhere, so I can only guess that the other notes are from Yurra and Bridget." Sanji said.

"No!" I said. He stared at me.

"I would always get notes like this at my old school. They won't do anything if I just throw the notes away. Besides, even if they did try anything else, the cameras would catch it and Dad would expel them. Just, please.... leave it be." I said. Sanji sighed.

"Alright. I won't tell anyone. Just promise me that you'll take this to a teacher if it gets any worse." He said. I nodded. He pulled me in to a hug.

"At least trust your friends, okay?" He asked. I nodded again and returned the hug.

"Okay, now let's get cooking!" He said. I smiled brightly up at him.

"Yeah! All of Luffy's favorites!" I said with a bright smile. He grinned at me and we started cooking.

Time skip

I hummed happily as I put the small cake in to the box and wrapped it up.

"Finished!" I said happily and helped Sanji clean up.

"Nice job! Your a natural, Aisuru-chan! Luffy is going to love this." Sanji said. I giggled.

"I hope so." I said and looked at the little box. I hugged the blonde.

"Thank you so much for helping me, Sanji! You're the best!" I said. He blushed at me.

"Aaawww! You're just so sweet, Aisuru-chan, I'm always willing to help you!" He said. I giggled at his antics. After we finished cleaning up, I carefully put Luffy's lunch in my bag, planning to surprise him with it at lunch time. I could already imagine the bright grin on his face.

"So are you feeling better now?" Sanji asked as we left. I smiled up at him.

"Much better! It doesn't matter what happens, as long as I have you and Luffy, no one can hurt me!" I said with a bright smile.

"Well, we made good time, we still have twenty minutes before class." Sanji said. I hummed.

"I think I'll go get a head start on my homework in the library. Bye, Sanji!" I said.

"See you later, Aisuru-chan!" Sanji said and went to wait outside of Nami's class for her. I turned and headed towards the library.

Luffy's POV

I stared and felt a stinging pain in my chest. It couldn't be true... It couldn't. Sanji was my friend and Ai-chan wouldn't do that!

Would she?
