CHAPTER TWENTY ;
October 2nd, 2016

After navigating through crowds of people, and multiple cameras flashing, the duo finally made it back to Grants car.
"So how long are you staying?" Grant asked as the placed her back in the back seat of his car before getting in the drivers seat.
"As long as I want. Why? Are you trying to get rid of me already?" Eleanor laughed, bucking in her seatbelt, "I'll be here for your premiere, as promised, then a few days after."
Grant nodded his head, smiling at Eleanor, "Okay, I was just wondering." Grant smiled over at Eleanor then started the car
The drive to Grants home was silent, apart from the radio quietly playing pop songs that Ellie knew some of the words to, apparently Grant knew all the words as he was signing along for most of the drive, not that she minded. Eleanor's eyes were closed, her head leaning against the cold window, but she was far from asleep, as she would say, 'I'm resting my eyes, not sleeping.'
Grant looked over at Eleanor's figure and smiled. He thought she was sleeping, and he wouldn't blame her, long flight and all. Keeping one hand on the wheel of the car, he took his other and held Eleanor's hand, his fingers lacing through hers.
Eleanor, eyes still closed, smiled and squeezed his hand, "You know, if you wanted to hold my hand, all you had to do was ask."
Grants cheeks reddened, "I, uh, I'm awkward?" He said, almost as if saying it as a question and not a statement
Eleanor laughed, looking over at Grant, squeezing his hand again, "Indeed you are Gustin, indeed you are. But I don't mind." She smiled
Grant smiled, cheeks still red, turning his eyes back to the road, they were almost back to his house, just two more turns.
"Jesus Grant, your cheeks are as red as my hair!" Eleanor laughed, bringing a pieces of her red hair up to his cheek to color match
"Is that your real hair color?"
"I think so? I mean I grew it myself." Eleanor shrugged, running her free hand through her hair
Grant chuckled, turning the car into his driveway, "And we are here." He let out a sigh as he put the car in park
Eleanor cheered, clapping her hands, "About time! You drive like my grandmother!" She let out a small laugh as she unbuckled her seatbelt
Grant gasped, putting his hand on her chest, "I come to pick you up at 8am and this is how you treat me? Well somebody's not getting help with their bags." He unbuckled his own seatbelt and opened his door
Eleanor laughed, "I was just gonna wait to get them later," she pushed open her door, "Let's go. I want nap."
Grant raised his eyebrows, "You want nap? You're so tired, you can't even English?" He laughed, closing his door, then opened the backseat to grab Eleanor's bags
Eleanor glared at him, slamming her door shut, "Is the door unlocked?" She asked him as he came up behind her with her bags in his hands, "You didn't have to grab those." She smiled
"I know." He smiled, "the doors locked, you think I'd just leave my door unlocked? My dogs are in there man." Reaching the door, he took out his keys and unlocked the door
Eleanor looked around Grants home, it was very Grant. Pictures of superheroes and basketball stars were all over his walls, a huge mirror sat in the corner of the room. The walls were white, although they were covered by all his memorabilia. A small shelf hanging from the wall had some Flash items too, including the hat he wore when he and Ellie went out around California.
"Nice place you got here." Eleanor smiled, turning to Grant
Grant shook his head, "I bet yours is better." He chuckled, placing her bags by the front door
"I still live with my mum." Eleanor murmured, looking around some more. She walked over to one of the pictures, admiring it. It was a poster of Christopher Reeve when he played Superman
Grant walked over to where Eleanor was standing, crossing his arms, "Really?" He asked, a confused look on his face
"Yeah, I never really had a reason to leave. My older brother is the only one who moved." She replied, turning towards him
"I didn't know Lucas was older than you."
Eleanor frowned, she never really liked talking about her older brother, "He's not. My dad, it's scandalous really," she let out a chuckle "my father, before he met my mum, got another girl pregnant when they were 17." She paused, pursing her lips, "And if he didn't learn his lesson then, he met my mom when his OG baby mama was pregnant, then got my mom pregnant too. So Thomas is only a couple months older than me."
"Wow so your dad is like, the most interesting lawyer out there." Grant laughed, "but you don't talk about him much." Grant looked over at her, raising an eyebrow
"Yeah. I don't." Eleanor shrugged, "He left my mom after Helena was born, went back to Maggie, my older brothers' mother. My parents had joint custody for a while but..." she trailed off, walking away from Grant, going deeper into his home
"Hey, Ellie, we don't have to talk about it." Grant walked closer to her, reaching out to rub her arm, he cleared this throat, "So, uh, what do you wanna do now?"
    "A nap would be good."
