Chapter 3: Sleeping

P.O.V. Raven

I was walking down the streets at night. It was usually peaceful around this time but there have been a few times were there has been trouble. As I walked I noticed that [Name] was still in front of his shop.

Well somewhat he had fallen asleep on his desk. As I walked up to him I sighed seeing his face. I remember my mother telling me that someone's sleeping expression will always show how they really feel.

Yet even after being kidnapped and forced to work for us he seems to content. Like he could care less about what has happened to him the past few days. If fact it's almost like he's awake.

I then raised my hand and hit him on the back of the head. When I did he raised up and held the back of his head. "OW!" He then noticed me and sighed "Raven why'd you do that?" He asked looking at me.

"You shouldn't sleep out here it's dangerous," I said looking at him.

"Like hitting me in the head when I'm asleep isn't?" He asked looking at me.

P.O.V. [Name]

"You shouldn't be out here," she said looking at me.

"I need to be out here the others are usually here early and I don't want to oversleep like last time," I said looking at her.

"Even so you shouldn't sleep outside you could get killed," she said looking at me.

"Why do you care if I die? I can't defeat a beowolf and you believe in survival of the fittest right? So why do you care if someone weak like me dies?" I asked looking at her. When I said this she sighed and took off her mask.

When she did I got to see her red eyes and her long black hair and in this moonlight. . . she looked beautiful! "I care because weather I like it or not you're one of us now! Which means that as long as you stay here it's my job to protect you!" She said glaring at me.

I suddenly felt a little more nervous under her gaze and nodded. "Y-yeah okay," I said looking at her. She sighed hearing this and looked and reached for her mask. However before she could I took her mask and started to look at it.

"Nice mask," I said as I inspected it.

"Yeah it is,now give it back," she said reaching for it. I then leaned back in my chair and looked at it.

"I meant it looks nice, but the quality of the mask . . . well frankly it's novice at best," I said looking at her.

"What?" She asked a little confused.

"Yeah whoever made this really sucked. It's like they had no idea what they were doing," I said looking at the mask.

"I made it," she said looking at me.

"Well if this the best you could do then I would suggest you stick with killing things," I said as I tossed the mask back to her. "You're blades not that great either," I said looking at her.

"What?" She asked a little irritated.

"Yeah, it's unbalanced, clearly dull, and it's become so dependent on dust that I'm willing to bet without it one of my blades could easily shatter it," I said looking at her. She gritted her teeth hearing this and looked at me.

"So you can do better?" She asked looking at me.

"Think? No, I know I can do better," I said smirking at her. She then leaned back and smiled slightly.

"You didn't seem so scared that time," she said looking at me.

"Well you said you were going to protect me so I didn't think you'd kill me. Hurt me sure, you hitting me proved that but I don't think you'd kill me," I said looking at her. When I said this she once again smiled and I looked at her.

She really does have a lovely smile. To bad she's usually wearing her mask so I couldn't see it most of the time. "What?" She asked looking at me a little confused.

"You have a nice smile," I said looking at her. When I said this her smile faded and she tried to glare at me. However I wasn't as intimidated this time because her cheeks were a slight shade of red.

She seemed a little embarrassed but that the same time didn't want to show it. "Well for what it's worth," she said as she put on a mask. "You're kind of cute when you sleep," she said looking at me. When she said this I felt my face heat up much more and looked at her.

She then began to walk away and I sighed seeing this. I then got up and walked into the small shack that I called my home. I'm cute when I sleep huh? Well . . . at least she cares enough to wake me up.

I then laid on my bed and close my eyes. I need to be careful otherwise I might end up falling for her. That wouldn't be good for either of us, having me constantly fawning after her and me constantly being rejected. It just seems like it'd become a tedious process for both of us.
