Chapter 1: The Heroine
P.O.V. [Name]
I was walking down a path that lead through the woods. I sighed as I continued to walk down the path. I had heard that a group of hunters lived somewhere in the woods. I wasn't sure if that was true or not I just hope that they don't mistake me as an enemy.
As I continued down the path I heard what sounded like footsteps. I became a little nervous hearing this and began to look around. When I did I saw that no one was around. Seeing this I once again began to walk down the woods.
However as I continued to walk I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following me and more I looked the more paranoid I became. I continued to walk down the path until I heard a low growl. I then began to look around and saw a two bright red eyes staring at me.
I felt fear start to rush through my body as I looked into the eyes. I had heard about the Grimm but had never actually seen them before. The creature then slowly started to approach me. I think I read somewhere that this type of Grimm was called a Beowolf.
It then ran towards me and when it did I saw another figure dash past me and cut the Grimm in half. The figure then looked towards me and I saw that they had bright red eyes. However unlike the Grimm that she had just killed her eyes seemed to put me at ease.
"Are you alright?" The female asked looking at me.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I said looking at her.
"You know it's not very smart to go wondering through the woods at night," She said looking at me.
"Yeah, I know but I thought that if I went during the night that the Grimm would be less active and that I could make better time to my destination," I said looking at her.
"Well you're half right, you probably would have made it to wherever you were going quicker if you traveled at night," She said as she began to circle around me. "No weapon?" She asked looking at me.
"No, I never really had any interest in becoming a huntsman," I said looking at her. When I said this she looked at me.
"That's a rather interesting choice," She said looking at me. "You can follow me to my tribe if you wish or you can continue by yourself and get killed. I can assure you that I will not be there to save you a second time," She said as she began to walk away.
I nodded hearing this and began to follow behind her. It was quiet for a few moments and the silence was starting to get to me. "So why did you decide to save me?" I asked looking at her.
"I can assure you that it was not my decision. If it had been my way then I would have left you to die. However it wasn't my decision so count yourself lucky," She said looking at me. I became little more nervous hearing this and continued to follow behind her.
"So you're apart of the group of huntsmen that live in these woods?" I asked looking at her.
"Indeed, we have lived here for most of our tribes existence, only moving when needed," She said as we continued to walk through the woods.
"I had heard that your tribe has a very specific philosophy. If that's the case then why would you save me? After all you said it wasn't your decision, you could have just as easily let me die and say-" I began only to stop feeling a blade against my throat.
"Is that what you want? Would you have preferred that I had left you there to die? If that is the case then I can just as easily end your life here and now," She said glaring at me.
"No, I'd rather not die," I said looking at her. She then took her blade away from me and I sighed. I then continued to walk behind the female in front of me. I then started to see a few Grimm bones and skulls attached to trees and some that were left lying on the ground.
I then looked at the female in front of me and if she had rad my mind she began to speak. "We put them up to keep more Grimm away. If a Grimm is stupid enough to get any closer then we kill it and add it's head to the collection," She said as we continued to walk.
"If you don't mind me asking why are you taking me to where your tribe is? I had heard that the only way someone can become a member of your tribe was to either be born into it or be married into it," I asked looking at her.
"Usually, yes, however last week we were attacked by the White Fang and now we're running low on members. So we're trying to recruit new members," She said looking at me.
"Oh okay, well I'm not sure how good I'll be at fighting but if you need weapons or armor then I'm your guy. I was taught by one of the best blacksmiths in all of remnant. I can even manufacture weapons and armor out of Grimm bones," I said looking at her. When I said this she turned and looked at me.
"Is that so?" She asked looking at me.
"Yeah, I mean don't get me wrong doing something like that would take some time but I can definitely do it," I said looking at her. When I said this she seemed a bit puzzled and looked at me.
"If that's the case then why don't you have any weapons with you?" She asked looking at me.
"Well like I said I never wanted to be a huntsmen. I was actually heading towards Vale so that I could start a shop there, and I have a few materials of interest in my bag for a few weapons that I thought would be cool but that's about it," I said looking at her.
"So you don't fight?" She asked looking at me
"No," I said looking at her.
"But you help others fight?" She asked looking at me.
"Yeah," I said looking at her. When I said this she chuckled slightly and looked at me.
"You're a strange one you know that," She said looking at me.
"Yeah I get that a lot," I said as I followed behind her. We then came to a small camp with several people in it.
"Well let's see how well you'll fit in here," She said looking at me.
