"Listen y.n boss has more projects for you ."
Your colleague spoke , handing you some papers and coffee.
"Thank you Jeff. "
You offered a small smile and took a sip of your coffee. You had five days to finish all these projects or so you thought .

For some reason your mind drifted to the demon in your house . Why was it there? If it wanted to hurt you it already would have . Is that how it really looked like or did you see it like that? Why won't it ever step into the light? It's always hiding in a dark corner and staring at you .

You snapped out of your thoughts hearing the phone ring. It was your boss saying you had until Monday to finish 16 projects . What day was it today? Thursday afternoon .
You sighed and clocked out . How the hell were you supposed to finish all of those by Monday?

You bought yourself some junk food because you didn't have time to cook .
"I'm home" you declared as you entered your house. The demon was hiding in the darkness as you turned on the light . However the pancake plate was empty .

You couldn't help but smile.
"So you can eat human food!!" You giggled and started putting your food in a plate.
"You know those projects i had? Well i have until Monday to finish all and now there's 16 of them. I hate my boss to be honest."
You made a little plate for it and carefully placed it somewhere dark.
"Thats burger and fries . And nuggets . If you want you can eat them."
Sitting down you started to eat and work on your projects and ended up falling asleep there by your desk.

In the morning when you woke up there was a blanket over you . You rubbed your eyes.
'Did he put a blanket over me? What time is it?'
You looked at the clock . It was 7:30 . You had to be at work at 7!!!
"SHIT!!!"
You got ready as fast as you could and dashed out . Not even eating anything or saying goodbye to your demon roommate.

"I think I'll have to stay here for the weekend i have too much work. And i got here late today . Boss was pissed."
You sighed.
"Oh hun , I'd help you but im in the same spot"
Liam , your adorable gay colleague pat your shoulder.
"Good luck girl. Tell me if there's anything i can do"
He waved and left .

Everyone was clocking out. It was afternoon and you were the only one in the building . You worked all day and night and crashed at the sofa in the break room for like an hour before you went back to work .

Saturday afternoon you decided to get some coffee , lack of sleep and rest taking its toll on you . Your eyes red and puffy and your shoulders dropped from exhaustion.

It was when you were by the break room that you felt the same old shiver and stare as some of the lights went out.
Turning around there was the demon staring out you .
"Don't you got something better to do?" You sighed and walked into the room .
"You didn't come home. I worried. I missed you."
He spoke. You stopped and turned around.
"So you talk... yeah my boss is trying to kill me with too much work"

"I'll eat him"
He said . His voice manly and a bit rough .
"Don't eat him!"
You couldn't help but laugh.
"You can help with my projects tho..."
You finished your coffee and went back to work.
"I ate a journalist once"
He followed you.
"Please don't eat me"
You shivered
"No."

So he didn't want to eat you . That's good right?
He helped you by giving you ideas and telling you his opinions . Around five in the morning you fell asleep and when you woke up you saw all the projects were finished to your surprise!

"Oh my GOD!!"
You read them . They were perfect!!
"Damn! These are amazing!!"
You looked around but he wasn't there . You turned all the projects in and hurried home.

"Demon-chan! Did you do my projects??"
You burst into the house .
"Yes"
"Thank you! What do you want in return?"
You gulped fearing he would request your soul .
"Pancakes."
He said , surely , as he snuggled into the darkness.
"Really?"
"Yes. Lots."
He sounded happy that he was to eat some pancakes .

"Then you shall have my best pancakes"
You started changing . Thats when you realized.... he was a male demon . He had seen you naked . Multiple times.
"Well , shit"
You gave no fucks and changed and freshened up .
"So , do you have a name?"
You smiled, not exactly expecting him to answer it.
"Eustass Kid"
His eyes followed the pancakes as you flipped them.

"I'll just call you Kid then...."
