《09• Magician's Appearance》

Chapter 9- Magician's Appearance.

I really don't know how I managed to stay awake when the Black Emperor transported us to Akashi's house. As soon as my feet touched the tiled floor, I dropped to one knee, saluted the Three Winds, Chinese-Style and sprinted to the training room.

"Akashi!" I yelled as the door flew open. There he was. Slumped right at the center of the room. Reo was beside him. Akashi was panting and guess what, he's half naked. W-WHO CARES THO >//<

I rushed to him. "Reo, why didn't you stop him?!" I chided.

"I'm sorry, he insisted." Reo said.

Akashi grabbed my hand. "Glad.... You're home...." He muttered.

"Bring him to his room." I said.

"He's drained. Call Hiro for help."

Hiro appeared right before us and lifted Akashi while Reo lifted the other side. I ran to the kitchen and prepared some warm water for him. Hiro told that he was drained, like literally drained, no more energy. But after a long rest, he was finally able to walk slowly. I was in the living room, watching CSI when he approached.

"Hey. Feeling better?" I spoke.

"Yes. Thank you for the last few days." He said.

"So, we're going to school tomorrow?" I queried.

"Talking about school...." he sighed.

I chuckled. "It's rare to hear you sighing."

"No, it's just that tomorrow is the prize-giving day. The result of the homecoming stuffs." He said.

"Wow. Now I'm excited to see who's the winner."

"Obviously me."

"Humph."

~QvQ~

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! AKASHI-SAMA!!!!!!!!!"

I winced and rubbed my forehead with my palm. "Girls are such a pain." I sighed.

"Says the woman." Hiro said.

"Why are you here?" I questioned.

"Oh you don't know? Akashi and I went to the finals."

I frowned. "For the homecoming stuffs?"

"Mmhm!"

"You participated?" I said.

"Obviously."

"But you were never in school. I've never seen you before."

"West problems. I have tons of research going on in my lab."

"Research? You do that too?"

He nodded, grinning. "I'll bring you there some time!"

"I'll be waiting."

We were in the hall, standing at the side, watching the girls swoon over Akashi and flashes of camera here and there. It was riot and it's a surprise how Hiro managed to hide himself from the girls.

"Why is it that no one came to you? I thought you're the famously handsome lad in the four Heavens." I spoke.

"I made myself invisible from them. Only you can see me." He said.

"Eh!? But that would make me look like I'm a weirdo, talking to myself!" I grumbled.

"No, you're invisible too." He replied.

"Okay, that's cool."

The stage was nowhere near done. The curtain is still down and Akashi was having a hard time trying to get out from the ocean of homo sapiens.

"Akashi is being a gentleman. He won't let himself disappear because it'd be rude to the girls." Hiro said.

I merely smiled. Finally, after what felt like a whole decade, the MC brought the microphone close to her mouth. "Ladies and gentlemen!!" she announced. The hall was filled with complete silence as everyone paid attention. The girl had blonde hair that reached her waist, wavy and her ivory skin suited her blue eyes.

"We have the result of the homecoming prince this year! Just like before, we have two finalists here!" she said and gestured towards Akashi and Hiro. We must've been visible because the MC could see us.

"And so, in my hand.... I have the result of this competition. The winner goes to...." She trailed off.

Hiro smirked while Akashi glanced at us. I kind of expected the answer. Reo told me that Hiro is an expert with girls. He has over 360 wives and girlfriends up until last two decades. So, I don't think I can ever count how many wives and girlfriends he has now. But Akashi is not bad too. Eh whatever, not my problem.

"The winner goes to...."

.

Silence.

.

"The winner goes to...."

.

Silence.

.

"The winner goes to...."

.

.

"EH COME ON SAY IT ALREADY!!!!" the girls grumbled.

The MC laughed and nodded. "Okay, alright! Here's the winner."

.

.

"Akashi Seijuurou!!!!"

*Cue unintelligible screams in 20 languages*

"Ah, Sei won this time." Hiro sighed and rubbed his nape.

"You've won before?" I said.

"Thirty-two years ago. It was the previous Demon King's revolution. He tried to take down the Eastern Heaven. Sei was the first person to help. I took that chance to tackle all the girls. That was my glorious year." He replied.

"You didn't help?"

"I sent my troops. It should be enough but Sei insisted on fighting by the Blue Empress' side."

I nodded in understanding. "How did you guys attend this school every year? Won't the teachers recognize you?" I queried.

"Every year after the graduation, we will wipe the teachers' memories."

"Isn't that cruel?"

"Teachers change every 20 years. Some of the teachers here knew who we are. Like the MC. She's my wife and have been a teacher since four years ago. Ueri Hana. Wife number two hundred and seventy." He said proudly.

"I thought she's a student. She looks so young." I commented.

"Hana's a Shen."

"What's that?"

"A formal way of calling Ayakashii. In Japanese, we call them Ayakashii even though the meaning is demon but actually in our real interpretation, we're Gods. Or in Chinese Way of saying it, it's Shen."

[Take note Shen is pronounced as Shurn like how you pronounce Churn but with silent "R". Get it?]

"Akashi said Ayakashii ain't Gods."

"Sei doesn't want to admit it. He's a very humble old man."

I suppressed my laugh. "I don't want to imagine how old he is."

"Over four hundred years, dear. You wouldn't know how much he went through; the changes of technology."

Beards, mustaches, wrinkles.... NO, JUST NO.

"We're still handsome and young as always, Seiryuu."

"I know. How does your Celestial Form look like, though?"

"Get in the training room and I'll show you, after school of course."

"Great!"

Hana was looking at us, rather uncomfortably. "Hiro, go to Hana. She's jealous." I said.

"She's not." Hiro said and his voice turned grim. "There are demons among the students."

I looked around.

"Where's Sei? They are targeting him." Hiro muttered. The girls suddenly went crazy, screaming and yelling.

"What's happening?"

"Yif!" Hiro hissed.

Hana was fidgeting nervously. A man in his early twenties appeared.

"Seiryuu, head down!" suddenly Hiro yelled. I wasted no time and obeyed him. A blast of white light wiped the whole hall and most of the girls fainted on the spot. A few, around thirty of them remained standing.

"Hello there, little Tiger." The man smiled.

"I ain't little you shit." Hiro replied and strode forward. The man smirked and tilted his head. His orbs widened as he saw me.

"Ah? She's still standing?" he wondered.

"I shielded her, bitch." Hiro said.

"Hiro, language." I frowned.

"Ah, even warning you." The man narrowed his eyes as at me.

"Where is Akashi Seijuurou?" I demanded.

"I am Yif." The man bowed.

"I'm asking you where the hell is Akashi!" I said with a stern voice and stepped forward.

"Probably dead." Yif smiled and then as if lightning, he lunged forward and attacked my head. I ducked under and grabbed his arms, twisting it at his back. Before he could make any move, a voice stopped us.

"Stop, Seiryuu." Akashi said from the stage.

I released Yif immediately and stepped back. Yif tch-ed and turned away. "Yif." Akashi called out.

"Show respect, you bitch." Hiro growled.

Yif glared at us and dropped to one knee. "I shall kill you, Red Emperor." He murmured.

"Over my dead body, trash!" Hiro spat.

"Hiro." Akashi muttered and Hiro scowled.

"Then I'll just kill your beloved." Yif smirked and yes, as if lightning, again, he tried to take me down but I managed to block his attack by rolling to my right. Suddenly, I wasn't in school anymore. I was in a closed area where the walls are plain white and the floor is covered with white mats.

"We're gonna have a duel. If you win, I'll let you off. If I win, you'll be my underman." He said.

"I thought you wanted Akashi..?" I said.

Yif tilted his head slightly. "Maybe not. He's too stubborn to be killed."

"Oh, okay then. It's like literally indicating that I'm smarter than him." I shrugged.

A staff appeared in his hand as well as mine. Akashi taught me how to use this but I'm not really good at it. Either way, it's a matter of life and death here so I'll just do anything that cross my mind. We stood in a defensive stance. Yif began. He swung his staff underneath me and I managed to jump in time. As I jumped, I brought the staff downwards, attempting to hit his head but he blocked it with his staff.

I twisted the staff and did a roundhouse kick as he got up. He was thrown to the side and I backed away a few steps. He wiped the blood off his lips and lunged at me once again. His fist lashed out to strike my face and I ducked down and kicked his gut. He fell onto his back but kicked my thighs so I fell as well.

He tried to stab me with his staff but I blocked it away and both of our staffs were thrown away. I wasted no time and started a hand-to-hand combat. He punched my gut but I quickly kicked his hand away. As he was distracted, I struck his temple and twisted his elbow behind his back. He turned around and hit my face. I winced and grabbed his arm hard before throwing him over my shoulder. The hell he's damn heavy.

I ran to where the staffs were, took both of them, ran back to him and pointed the staff to his neck. "I win." I said.

He tch-ed and looked away. I pulled back the staff and he sat up. "I was under the command of Red Emperor before this. But during the war with the Demon King two years ago, the stupid King kidnapped me. He even kidnapped Reo. He held us hostage. Seijuurou vowed to the King to never step in the hell again for three years. The Demon King released Reo as a reward but Seijuurou refused. He said it'd be better if none of us got out as long as the Demon King take care of us. I got mad at that. Shouldn't he at least take one of us out!?" Yif said.

"Isn't it obvious that Akashi did that to protect both of you? He did that so you won't feel offended. If only he were to take only Reo out, you'd feel that Seijuurou likes Reo more than you and it'd be unfair," I folded my arms across my chest as Yif raised his hand, attempting to punch me or something like that. "Seriously, you're matured enough to think that! Don't hate Akashi just for that reason! And you call yourself his underman? Funny."

Yif's orbs widened and I realized what I'd just said.

"Oh shit-uh, sorry! I didn't mean to offend you that way but seriously! Change your attitude!" I said.

He bit his lower lip and lowered his fist. "Fine. You win." He admitted.

I threw his staff at him and he caught it perfectly. "We'll spar again some time." I smiled and he merely scowled as an answer, which I take that as a yes.

Yif turned away and the scene changed. I was back in the hall. Hiro rushed and hugged me. I got suffocated for a second there. "Bitch, you're damn awesome!" Hiro grinned to my ear.

"Hiro, step back before I burn your tail to ashes." Akashi spoke.

He released me and stepped back as ordered. I grinned at Akashi and he nodded in response. "You displayed a great performance there, Seiryuu. I'm proud of you." He commented.

"You should be! But Yif's awesome too! He's fast!" I said.

He approached and reached out for my head. His hand ruffled my hair and I giggled.

[A/N: Alright guys here's a question. Do you think Akashi has fallen for Seiryuu? Please answer because if yes, then I'll go straight to the plot and if not, I have to make more lovey-dovey chapters. Arigatou for reading.
