《•03-King's visit》

Chapter 3- King's visit.

"Thank God you were fast, Sei-kun." A woman voice said.

"Are the demons being sent or....?" a male voice asked.

"Perhaps it was breeding in it. Students doesn't enter that bathroom because it's disgusting."

"Then why did you let her go?"

"It was a test."

"Sei-kun, she could've died!"

"But she's not."

And then silence. Okay maybe I can try to open my eyes for now. Slowly, I lifted my eyelids and bright lights immediately rushed to my pupil.

"Hey, she's awake!" Reo's voice echoed. I tried to sit but regretted it the moment my body hurts all over and I gasped in pain then threw my head back to the pillow.

"Oh no, you shouldn't move yet. You are 75% burned." Ayame said patting my arm. I mumbled a curse.

"Can anybody tell me why I can recognize the demons?" I asked.

Ayame and Eclipse shared a look and turned back to me. "It's probably Sei-kun's influence." She answered.

"And how did you guys know I was attacked?" I questioned again.

"Sei-chan came to check on you because you were so late. He had already sensed the demons from his class, contacted us all and we rushed there." Reo replied.

"How about the teacher ?" I asked.

"We heard a scream from outside." Kotarou interrupted.

I sighed. "This is crazy."

"What's crazier is you, being able to survive the burns and there aren't any burned marks on your body except for your arm." Eikichi cut in.

"Crazier. What's happening to my life...."

"Seiryuu, let's head back home." Akashi spoke.

"Oh no, that thrown-off-the-building thing again!?" I said and wanted to protest more but the world had flipped before I could do anything.

Two weeks later, I'm recovering gradually and I can even walk. Sure it hurts but no pain no gain. Now, it's midnight, I'm having slight insomnia, staring at the ceiling. The room was dark cause I turned off the lights. I couldn't sleep, thinking about this whole thing. I had tried calling Suzuko but my phone's making problems and I'm too lazy to fix it.

Right then, I heard noises nearby. I staggered out of bed and almost smiled when the injuries doesn't hurt that bad no more. I walked out of the room, walked a few more steps and stopped in front of a room where the door is wooden and there ain't any doorknob. I frowned. Suddenly, the door opened and I flinched.

"Come in."

Akashi was in there, sitting, one leg up, hand resting on it, his back leaning against the wall. I entered nervously and sat in front of him. "I woke you up, sorry." He said.

"Uh, no, it's okay." I said. I don't understand. He looked mean, his words are mean but it's not. I mean-do you understand what I'm trying to tell? It's like he's actually kind but act all mean. Or something like that.

"I heard that." He spoke.

"Heard what?"

"Your thoughts."

"What-" I blushed in embarrassment. He read my thoughts!

"Sorry, didn't mean to pry," He chuckled. "How's your injuries?"

"Less than okay but more than fine," I answered, smiling. He nodded once then shut his eyes. He looked really tired. "What are you doing here in the middle of the night?" I asked.

"Trying to calm myself. I've been really stressed and busy recently." He said.

"You need to loosen up a bit, or you'll pass out some time." I suggested.

"Everyone says that. They don't know what situation I'm in. I cannot leave those matter alone." He replied.

"I was just trying to find something to say." I muttered.

He inhaled sharply. "Humans...."

"Don't you have parents? Why are you living alone in this huge mansion with guards, maids and butlers?" I questioned.

"My mum's gone, my dad's house is different. It's a few meters walk from here to his house. I decided to live separately from him." He replied.

I frowned. "Why?"

"I don't like his house rules. I want to live freely."

"Oh and sorry about your mum, I didn't mean to bring up sad memories."

"Memories of my mum and me are never sad, Seiryuu. I've always been happy with her. No regrets, none at all." He slightly smiled. For a moment, he looked so happy it eases me.

"Ah, I have a solution. In case you ever feel tired and stressed, think of your mother. She'll bring peace to you."

He looked at me. "How about your parents? You contacted them already?"

I fell silent and looked away. "....I think it's time for me to sleep." I stood and walked to the door. Only to be stopped by Akashi. He held my wrist.

"Don't avoid my question." He uttered.

I tried to break free. "I don't want to talk about it."

"Seiryuu-"

"IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!" I yelled. His grip loosened and I ran to my room, leaving him in silence.

I couldn't sleep. It's haunting me. The memories of them, my parents. Part of me, I felt guilty yelling at him. I shouldn't have done that.

"Guiltiness makes me excited." A voice spoke. I sat upright and looked around. Who the heck was that!?

"Window, dear. I'm at the window." It continued. I turned my gaze to the window and saw it. A figure floated there, with black hoodies, black t-shirt and black pants. So stylish this floating person.... He appeared around early twenties, his hair pitch black and his eyes bloody red. He had fangs, like those vampires in stories. His skin as pale as a sheet. Quite handsome I might add.

Open the window, a voice rang in my head.

I gasped and flinched, eyes still on him. "W-who are you?" I questioned and it came out as a whisper. He grinned. I stared at him. He dissolved into the air then reappeared on my bed, standing on it, towering over me. The temperature immediately dropped. I was shivering.

"Cutie." He giggled.

Suddenly, I knew who he is. I don't know how but I just know. "D-demon king!" I whispered to myself.

He smiled. "Youkai."

I couldn't respond.

"Interesting."

The door bust open and Akashi rushed in, pointing his sword at the Demon King. "Get out, filthy creature." Akashi hissed.

The Demon King chuckled. "Watch out, Red Emperor. I'll be targeting any of you."

"I don't like repeating what I said."

The Demon King raised both of his hands, smiling. "I get it. But before that, there's a little prize for you." He said then turned to me. I didn't know what it was until he winked, giving me visions.

"Seiryuu, close your eyes!"

But it was too late.

I was in a room with no lights, no one, no sound, nothing at all. I was crying. Then a pair of figure appeared in front of me. My eyes widened as one of them touched my shoulder. "Don't touch me!" I screamed and tried to move but the figures had cornered me. It was them. My parents.

"..Ryuu!"

"SEIRYUU!!"

I screamed again and panted. Suddenly I was in my room again. I looked around. Akashi was kneeling in front of me. His sword lying beside him. I was on the floor, probably fell off the bed and he was patting my back.

"Breathe, try to breathe." He said.

I tried to do as what he said and after a few tries, I finally regained my composure and then leaned against the bed. "What happened?" I asked.

"I didn't know you had bad past with your parents," Akashi said and that made me shocked. "They are still alive, right?"

I looked at him. He nodded. "He showed it to me too. But just a glance of it." He said.

"You don't mind if I tell you, no?" I said.

"Go ahead. I'll listen." He replied.

"Well, this is what I remember. When I was around four years old, I found out that my parents are not ordinary scientists. They brought me in for experiments, cut me open, give me drugs and stuffs. They were fascinated because even though they did all that to me, I was completely okay, not affected at all. But bruises, pain, depression, I do feel all of that. It continued until I was.... fifteen. And then I decided to run away. I learned how to survive on my own. Made a living on my own. Became a thief, learned parkour and such, if it's not because of my parents, I won't do that. You may think being an experiment subject ain't that serious. But think of it, think of the scalpel they'll use to cut you open. Think of the weird liquids they injected, think of all my cries of fear and pain and their poker face, not feeling guilty or pity at all. It's just.... frustrating, depressing I can't even express it."

Akashi slightly smiled then touched my hand. "You're safe now, no?"

I gave him a questioning look.

He stood. "Meet me in the training room-um the room without doorknob just now, after breakfast. We'll be starting your training as fast we can."
