Chapter 3: Glory and Gore

What the mistress said last night shocked me. Ciel and Y/N look nor act nothing alike. More like polar opposites. Then there's Sebastian. I didn't expect to see that old geezer here. Honestly, why is he even here? Then there's also Grell. I don't think he is who he makes himself out to be. He's aura feels supernatural, not human. Oh, well. I don't care as long as he doesn't cause trouble, or he's a BLEEP angel.
I was going to wake up Lady Y/N and give her her morning snack. When I opened the door, she was already awake and dressed. "Good morning, M'lady", I greeted, announcing my presence. "Good morning", Y/N greeted back, turning around. She wore a simple F/C dress that had a S/F/C ribbon around the waste. "I brought you your morning snack, M'lady", I announced, putting the platter on her nightstand. "Thank you Karma", she said, giving a nod of acknowledgment.
"Do you want me to continue to investigate into the Jack the Ripper case?", I questioned. "Yes, the sooner this is finished, the better. We should be getting our next batch of assignments soon", she said. "Of course M'lady. I will finish this case as soon as possible", I said, turning around and exiting the room.

Everyone was gathered in the living room. "'Someone well-versed in medical science and anatomy'. 'Someone with no alibi on the night of the murders'. And 'Someone involved with a secret society or cult of black magic'. Only one individual fulfills all of these conditions. The Viscount of Druitt, Aleister Chamber", Sebastian reported. "Oh, so my observations aren't even considered even though that's the exact reason you summoned me here", Y/N grumbled under her breath. I had to agree. I don't want to be in the same room as that old geezer. I glared at 'Mr. Perfect Butler' while he was talking. No one seemed to notice except Y/N. I know she's suspicious of the geezer as is so she'll probably question me later. Oh well.
"Tonight, there will be yet another party at the Viscount's residence beginning at 19:00. As well as the Season coming to an end, it is safe to assume that this evening will be our final opportunity to steal in", Sebastian finally shut up. Still, he doesn't even consider Y/N's ideas.
"Madam Red. That is where we stand. Can you do something about it?", Ciel questioned. "Really. Who do you take me for? I'm quite popular with the men, I'll have you know. Obtaining an invitation is childs play". Madam Red practically bragged. "Let me get the invitation. Despite how much I hate it, I seem to be rather desirable to have at parties. Invitations have only seemed to skyrocket since the last one I had to host", Y/N practically complained. "I'll let you two decide. Whatever it takes to get into that 'secret party'. But make certain to never use the Phantomhive name. We may fail to catch them otherwise", Ciel stated nonchalantly, also stating the obvious at the end. "Ok, what is with these people and stating the obvious around here?", I questioned myself. "This is our only chance!", Ciel exclaimed.

"This is rather grand, isn't it? I wonder if indeed tonight marks the last night of the Season?", Madam Red questioned. "It would appear that this evening will be most delightful", Lau commented. "We're done for if we arouse their suspicions. Listen here. We did not come here to amuse ourselves. Do not let your guard down!", once again, Ciel has stated the obvious. It makes me wonder just how smart these people are.
Ciel was wearing a light pink and black dress. It was an off the should dress with frills outlining every edge. In the center of the chest area was a pink rose on top of a pink and black striped bow. He also has above the elbow black gloves and a frilly light pink choker. He has a light pink hat surrounded by light pink roses and pink ribbon around it, secured by a light pink ribbon that was tied into a bow right below the chin. His hair was in pigtails, his bangs swept over his left eye.
"I understaaaand!", Madam Red practically shouted, hugging Ciel. "You're just the cutest little thing, aren't you!?"
"Let me go!! Why must I wear something like this-?!", Ciel cried out, blushing, almost choking in Madam Red's hold. "What's this? Don't you like your Muslin-drenched French dress? It's the latest style and everything, you know", Madam Red grumbled. "How could I like this!?", Ciel exclaimed, incredulous. "I better not hear you ever say anything bad about women in dresses", I said, making sure to get my point across with a glare. "Now, now. A lady never raises her voice", Madam Red reprimanded Ciel. "Sebastian...you BLEEP", Ciel irked. "He's right, you hear? Have to follow the script", Madam Red pointed out.
"Lau is your young lover. Ciel is your niece, who has come to London from the countryside. Sebastian is Ciel's tutor. Grell is your butler, as per usual. I'm the younger sister and Karma is my bodyguard", I listed off our roles. "Why must I be your 'niece'!?", Ciel shouted, still blushing. "Well, you see, I've always wanted a daughter. A charming girl who looks wonderful in frilly dresses!", Madam Red exclaimed, drowning in her own fantasies about the child she could never have. 'Wait...child she could never have. She is a qualified doctor, too. Could she be Jack the Ripper? Hm. I'll have to look into this later.'
"That's your reason!? Why didn't you make Y/N the niece!", Ciel shouted through gritted teeth. "Need I remind you of my profession", I hissed, patting my knife I had hidden on my hip. My dress allowed easy access to it, seeing as it was split on the side from the knee down. It was F/C and had long sleeves. I wore a pair of S/F/C gloves that went to my wrist. The dress had a sweetheart neckline and gently hugged my curves. There were little hidden pockets scattered throughout the dress itself and in my little hat. The hat was F/C to match my dress and looked like a simple sunhat with S/F/C ribbon around it.
"It would be if I were only joking but, we're you to be exposed as a Phantomhive, it would be disastrous for us all, right. That, and I don't want Y/N or her butler to kill me", Madam Red whispered. "This will trouble me until I get used to them", Sebastian muttered, adjusting his glasses. He looked like you would normally see him, just a little fancier than usual. Karma snickered under his breath, "Heh, thought an old geezer like you would be used to glasses by now." 'Hm, Karma seems like he knows Sebastian. That and the fact that he doesn't seem to like him much, or it could just be his usual teasing. Either way, they don't look to be on friendly terms if that's the case', I thought.
"In any case! If people were to see a one-eyed boy with a well-dressed butler, they would know it was you on the spot!", Madam Red elaborated. "So then it follows that this is the best disguise", she continued. "And the Viscount of Druitt supposedly loves women of all ages, so it's better if your dress that way!", Madam Red exclaimed. "Wha!?", Ciel shouted. "Wouldn't it be a crime for him to lay a hand on the Young Earl?", Karma muttered under his breath, but I still heard him. "Were you not the one who said 'do whatever it takes'", Sebastian teased, smirking slightly. Ciel growled through his teeth at that. Sebastian just grinned, "Then shall we go, My Lady?"
"Now then we must first locate the Viscount Druitt", Sebastian stated. "I wonder if the Viscount of Druitt is a handsome fellow? If that's the case, I would be more than willing to do my paaart!", Madam Red exclaimed, eyes sparkling. "I'm uncomfortable. It's heavy. This dress. They hurt. My feet. I want to go home", Ciel continued to grumble. "Welcome to my world, Ciel. Now quit complaining before I slit something on you", I threatened. "I do not want Elizabeth to see me like this", Ciel continued to grumble. "Hm, Elizabeth? Who is that?", I questioned. "Elizabeth is the Young Lord's fiance", Sebastian answered. Well, that's news to me.
"Kyah! Your dress is so cuuute!", a highly, girly voice broke through our conversation. "Oh no...I'm even imagining the sound of her voice", Ciel complained. "I don't think you're imagining things, Ciel", I said, looking in the direction of the voice. Ciel and Sebastian followed, both looking horrified when they saw her. "There are just sooo many ladies in the loveliest dresses, I can't stand it! There all sooo cute!", the now known 'Elizabeth' squealed. 'Oh. She's that kind of girl. I can't stand them. Guess we won't get along too well.', I thought. "Se-se-se-se-Sebastian", Ciel shakingly whispered. "Young mas-! My lady, please calm down. Let us go over there for the moment", Sebastian whispered, leading Ciel off somewhere. I looked at Karma. He nodded, going off to get me a drink.
I walked off in a different direction. After a while of wandering around, I ran into the Viscount of Druitt. His platinum blonde locks just screamed playboy backdoor dealer to me. I highly doubt that he's Jack, but at least we can get a possible human trafficker off the streets. "Why hello young lady. You look beautiful tonight. You're Lady L/N, aren't you?", the Viscount questioned. I put on a fake smile saying, "Why yes. I am Lady L/N. It's a pleasure to meet you." "It's rare to see you at parties. I'm honored you decided to come", the Viscount said, smiling. "Would you like to get away from the party for a little bit. It can be quite noisy", he continued. "Sure. I'd like that", I agreed. I knew it was a trap. He seemed too fake to me. "Just this way, M'lady", he led me to a door hidden behind a curtain that led further back. I met eyes with Karma and he nodded.
The first thing that I noticed when I walked into the room was the sickly sweet smell. I think it's chloroform. I tried to stay awake, though I knew it was futile. The world was fading in and out. "My, my. What a pretty specimen we have", was the last thing I heard before the world went black.

When I come to, the first thing I notice is that it's dark. The next thing I notice is that I'm in restraints. They went around my shoulders, wrists, and connected around my neck. 'It's dark, a blindfold? I've been restrained by a rope I think. Where am I? They didn't search me, I can feel my knife on my hip still', I thought. I reached for my knife, having to go into a fetal position to reach it. Once my fumbling fingers got a hold of it, pulling it out of its sheath, I started to cut the ropes. I managed to cut ropes off when I heard voices.
"Quiet please, everyone. Next, I present to you the featured item for which everyone has been waiting", the Viscount's voice rang out. 'So he is a human trafficker. He's brought me to an underground auction', I thought. I decided to make it look like I was still in restraints, as to not arouse suspicion just yet. "Won't you please feast your eyes upon this!", he shouted. I heard fabric rustling, but it was still dark. 'So I really am blindfolded', I thought. I heard cheering. "Derive your enjoyment from appreciating her as you would a fine work of art", he drones, "Or keep and treasure her as you would a pet. She would prove a glittering jewel for any ritual as well, would you not agree? Or, according to demand, you may wish to sell her off in pieces. A prize of this caliber is a very rare one indeed. Now allow me to show you. The starting bid is 1500!", he finally shut up. After that, I continued to hear the bid offers go higher while my blindfold was taken off, revealing I was in a cage.
Light came streaming in, the Viscount still droning on, trying to raise the price. It was then that the candle lights flickered. "What's going on!?", the Viscount shouted, everyone else started to scream in panic. I let go of the restraints, freeing myself. I walked over to the bars of the cage and placed my hands on two bars, one next to the other. I pried them apart just enough to squeeze through when the candles were lit again. The light revealed Karma, Sebastian, and Ciel. Sebastian and Ciel in the doorway, looking shocked, and Karma in the middle of the bidders, all of whom were passed out. I made my way over to Sebastian and Ciel, their shock fading.
"Well BLEEP", Karma started. I put my hands over Ciel's ears at that point, not wanting someone his age to hear such vulgar words. "I didn't think that these BLEEP would give up so easily", Karma finished. I shot a glare at Karma. "No cursing in front of children", I stated, removing my hands from Ciel's ears. He looked at Sebastian, sending him a 'what just happened' look. "I do not appreciate you using such language with children present. There is a reason I haven't done so myself the last few days, Karma", I explained. "Oh, so you don't like to curse in front of your younger brother", Karma tried to tease. "No. I don't like to in front of children in general", I retorted. Sebastian looked shocked, probably the fact I'm blood-related to Ciel.
"I've already contacted the Yard, so they will be arriving at any moment", Karma reported. "Then let's not dawdle. The chaps at the yard will be none too pleased to find us here", Ciel said. "Yes, especially with that appearance of yours 'My Lady'" Sebastian teased, suppressing his laughter. "Th-that's right", Ciel muttered out through gritted teeth, obviously irked by Sebastian's teasing.
"Anyway! With this, the case of Jack the Ripper is closed!", Ciel exclaimed. "You guys are useless", I muttered with a sigh. Karma hummed in agreement. "But it was over all too soon", Ciel muttered under his breath. Sebastian just grinned.
"Chief Inspector, this way!", someone shouted. We all looked towards the door. "In any case, it would appear that the Yard has arrived", Sebastian stated. 'Ok. What is with these people and stated the obvious', I thought, sweatdropping. Sebastian scooped up Ciel bridle style, Ciel making a noise of surprise. "Then let us be off", Sebastian suggested, sounding like a prince for some odd reason. "You're just being a suck up to a highly dependent child", Karma muttered. "I really should defend his since he's my brother and all... I really can't, though. Truth is the truth", I muttered. Only Karma heard me though. He smirked at me.
The next thing I knew, Sebastian had jumped out an open window, landing on top of the roof of the neighboring building. Karma and I followed right after.
£~Third Person~£
Everyone was gathered in Ciel's office in the Phantomhive townhome the next morning, a newspaper laying on Ciel's desk. The heading read, in big, bold letters, 'Jack the Ripper Appears Once More!'.
"If it becomes seemingly impossible for our lone suspect to have committed the murder, then it does beg the question of a possible copycat...no, or even of there having been multiple culprits from the very start", Lau ranted. "In other words, we were off the mark in suspecting the Viscount?", Madam Red questioned. "How could this be!", Ciel shouted, enraged, slamming his hands on his desk. "It's because you all are useless and deaf", Y/N stated, sipping her morning tea in the corner of the room like a BLEEP. "What!", Ciel shouted. Y/N looked up, her eyes sharp and calculating.
"You summoned me here for one reason. One reason, that being to get a professional's advice to try to catch the culprit. I gave you my thoughts and opinions, but you just brushed it off like I said nothing", she pointed out, fed up with being ignored, and her words brushed off. "You BLEEP!", Ciel shouted at her. Y/N froze at that. "Karma. What have I said about the use of vulgar words around children", she said, voice dangerously low, her hand already reaching for her knife. Karma just darted around the room, Y/N giving chase. "Get back here you lazy demon!", Y/N shouted. "I thought you wanted to keep our little game at our mansion!", Karma shouted at Y/N.
"What's going on?", Madam Red question hesitantly, not sure what to make of the situation. "It's something we do when Lady Y/N is either bored or mad! She basically chases me around with her knife to try and cut me! Just to taste my blood!", Karma shouted, explaining what was going on to the clueless five. Right after, Karma ran out of the room, Y/N following right on his heels.
Everyone was silent for several minutes after that. "What just happened", Madam Red asked cautiously. "Apparently Lady L/N is chasing her butler out of anger and trying to have a drop of his blood", Sebastian stated, though even he was slightly weirded out by what had just transpired.
