Death Already?

__________Sara_____________

The massive fireball came out on us. It glimmered and warmed my skin. It also made me sweat. It was bright, yellow, and appeared everywhere I went.

As we strolled, I saw the castle I was warned about. It stood towering over everyone else like it was the mightiest of the whole town.

Well it is the mightiest.

The castle didn't have gray stone blocks stacked and glued together like I imagined. It was a beautiful palace which was all white with two huge windows on both sides and a French window in the middle leading to a balcony. It also had lush gardens with more exotic flowers.

I realized I was plastered against the rusted metal gate. Then my stomach growled and several heads swirled my direction.

My mother was staring at me like I was a mad animal.

"Get down!" she scolded.

Slowly I got off the metal gate. Slowly, I turned around to see some people giggling. I also realized that Travis was watching me, with a little smirk. To avoid eye contact, my gaze fell to his mouth.

"Why are you following me?" I blurted. My weird thought came out loud.

Travis looked at me and smiled easily.

"I was going to that restaurant and saw you on the way." he explained.

His hair was disheveled and he was panting a little. He was carrying his black violin's case.

He looked cute when he's tired.

"Uh....me too." I said lightly without realizing what I am saying.

"Well, I will accompany you then."

My mother stood beside me looked happy on the outside, but I knew inside, she was mad as a bull.

"What is your name dear?" she asked carelessly, interrupting our conversation.

"My name is Travis. Can we go to that restaurant, if you don't mind?" he asked mildly.

"Oh, yes okay," she said.

Somehow she managed to let me go with him.

I was about to look back at the castle, but my mother locked my hand with hers, walking toward a small vacant shop. Travis followed beside me.

The shop was mini and I had to bend a little down to enter the door. However, Travis had to do the limbo.

"Hello there Victoria, what are you doing here?" asked a cheerful squeaky voice. A woman with a lifeless face appeared. Her face was distorted because she looked like a red haired to a black haired.

Her eyes also seemed to be switching to brown to black.

"Hehe, you must have least likely expected me to greet you. It's time for you to go." she croaked.

Her facial features solidified to an older lady with black hair and eyes and light skin.

My mother stood very still, but replied.

"What do you mean, I have just came for a fine lunch with my daughter and her friend." my mom spoke boldly.

"Alas, the time is up and you have to leave her. And I can take your blood." she moaned gleefully.

Blood? What time?

"What do you mean?" my mother asked calmly.

"I mean what I mean, Victoria."

My mom suddenly went pale.

"Do..ddo you mean the deal?" she asked with a slight tremble.

"Yes of course I did. Now give up your life or her life will be taken." she crackled.

Silently, my mother edged toward the little counter.

"Mother stop, what's going on? stop!" I hollered.

But my mother started to roll her sleeves up.

"Just a few drops of blood will be needed." the lady said sneering at us.

Before I could even respond, Travis unsheathed a gleaming silver knife. I stared at it with curiosity.

The lady's smile widened.

"I can play it too." she said cheerfully as she unleashed a giant two-feet sword.

My mother sat rigid with her bare arms on the table. A needle was beside her forgotten.

"What do you want from Sara's mother?" he asked crossly.

"Oh I want simply two drops of her rich blood." she said viciously.

"What is it going to be used for?" Travis said.

Both people were circling each other like the people from my fantasy books.

"I want to drink it and become her mother." she said, thrusting her hand at me.

"And I will have her body and contain my own soul. I will be able to control the world!" she screeched\laughed.

My mother sat there staring at us with a blank expression.

"Don't listen to her! That isn't her true plan." my mother screamed with a ghostly white face.

"Very well. I want to take over the queen's daughter and murder her parents because they do not trust her." she spoke with an evil glint in her eye.

The queen's daughter will become queen and I will rule this puny town. Then I will conquer other lands." she howled.

Her eyes were jet black and were eyeing me greedily.

Travis blocked her view by coming in front.

"Why?" he asked.

"To take over the worlddd." she shuddered.

She smiled and the in a flash, she swung the golden sword at Travis.

"WAIT, stop! Remember the deal!" my mother yelled.

"Oh yes, I almost forgot." she said, bringing the sword down that could of sliced Travis into two.

She came toward the table my mother sat. Then expertly she lifted the needle and injected it in one minute.

My mother's face was taut and white. Her body went limp and she knocked downwards towards the table.

"NOO!" I screamed.

Suddenly, my hands searched for something.

"Ah, now I will become what I wanted." she laughed.

As the needle came closer to her wrinkled skin, time went in slow motion.

I found a half full wine glass and flung into the lady's face.

My aim was off and it broke into the glass needle. All the blood spilled on the floor and the lady's ugly waitress costume. The lady looked at me murderously.
On her eyes, it was written 'you are going to regret this and I will kill you'.

"GO OUTSIDE!" Travis screeched. He successfully threw his knife right into the lady's heart right behind her. Black blood squeezed as she stared open mouthed at me. Then she crumpled and hit the floor.

"I will never die because I am immortal. I will come after you, Sara. I will." she gasped as she withered away like dust.
