Prologue
"I think you've forgotten how much I suck at finding a job, Abby!"
I whined as I slumped in my seat at the table in our shared apartment in downtown New York.
The soggy cereal in front of me was doing little to raise my mood.
Abby straightened out her stiff looking clothes, sighing in sympathy for me, her lip curling into a pout.
"Oh, my poor little sister! Do you want a loving embrace from your big sister?" She asked, standing up and starting to walk over, her large breasts the only thing I could focus on as memories of being trapped in spine-crushing hugs filled my mind.
"Don't get near me with those jugs!" I practically screeched, jumping from my chair and away from the now laughing Abby.
"But really," she said, straightening up from her 'I'm-about-to-kill-you-with-my-boobs' stance, her hands clipping onto her hips.
"You're nearly 18! You don't even have a car, shouldn't you be going out to find a job? Or at least a college?" She asked, her cherry lips pointing downwards as she looked at me with concerned blue eyes.
"I think you forget.." I mumbled, feeling a dark aura started to surround me.
"I have bad grades!" Abby simply hummed at my outburst, her pointer finger tapping at her chin as her eyes flickered up to the ceiling in thought.
"Ah!" She said, smiling brightly at her thought as I looked up at her, still sitting miserably on the floor with my head bowed.
"I have a friend that works in the publishing department! Roxanne Summers, I think!" She said, smiling brightly as the information processed slowly in my brain before all hell broke loose.
"Y.....You know Roxanne Summers?! Like the Roxanne Summers?!" I all but shrieked. I could feel a flush growing at my ears, something that happened when I got excited.
Abby nodded, her smile only growing at my reaction.
"Shes a good friend of mine from college! And she needs a flat-mate!" She sang before scooping her keys from the table and walking to the door, leaving me shocked on the floor.
"I'll send you the details in a text! Don't forget, you have school today! We don't want those grades to drop, do we?" I sputtered my words for a moment before jumping up, yelling words even I didn't understand, getting my uniform together as Abby chuckled, slipping out the door and into the streets, both of us going our separate ways while I internaly squealed.
I was going to meet the Roxanne Summers! Today!
