Chapter 2: The Seductive Witch
Today's Meme: I'm pretty sure Karma is the perfect one but Nagisa fits that category too. I guess that's what Shadow thought when she first saw Nagisa.
Shadow: Okay I'm gonna kill all of you and throw you back to the beginning of the dungeo-
Nagisa: Hi I'm Nagisa Shiota!
Shadow: Karma quick get the uniform!
The next morning Karasuma was teaching E-class (and Nagisa who was now a Phantom) the way of the sword. "So Nagisa what are Karma and Shadow like when they aren't being so scary?" Kayano asked him. "Umm, Shadow is pretty lazy and Karma just likes to mess with her. That usually ends up in Karma getting beaten up but they're actually fun to be around." Nagisa told her. "I'm still not used to this outfit though." Nagisa said sweat-dropping. He was wearing the exact same thing as Karma and Shadow only the underside of the cape was blue. "Well I think it looks great on you." Kayano said. Nagisa smiled at her. "Hey Nagisa! Come over here for a minute!" Shadow called over to him. "Talk to you later Kayano." Nagisa said going over to Karma and Shadow who were standing on the other side of the field.
~Your POV~
Nagisa ran over to me and Karma. "Alright I'm here." He said. I smiled. "Great. Okay you have a lot of catching up to do. I'm not sure how you've been training here in E-class but it's clearly not doing you any favors." I said. "That's kinda mean you know." Nagisa said sweat-dropping. "Feel free to check me and Karma's stats." I said while shrugging. He did so. "HOLY CRAP YOU TWO HAVE HIGH STATS!" Nagisa shouted. "Our levels too. That comes from her training." Karma stated gesturing to me. I opened up my party menu and looked at Nagisa's profile. I sighed and shook my head. "We have a lot of work to do." I said. "First things first. Proper weapons. We've given you the Phantom Uniform which gives you a few stat buffs but that's in the armor class. We need to get you a proper weapon. But before that, what kind of hero type are you? Paladin? Warrior? Mage?" I questioned. "I'm in the class of Magic Warrior." Nagisa responded. I nodded. "That makes things a little easier. What's your magic specialty?" I questioned. "Ice and support magic." He responded. Karma nodded. "Would've been easier if your magic type was a little more offensive but we can work with defensive magic." He said. I nodded in agreement. "Slow down for a minute. Offensive? Defensive? What are you two talking about?" Nagisa questioned. "Elemental magic like ice and fire are placed in two different categories. Magic that's more focused on defense and magic that's more focused on attack. There are different types of magic like statues aliments, support, and enchantments but if you use ice and support magic that means your a more defensive type that focuses on helping and defending the attackers of the party." I explained.
Karasuma walked over to us. "Hey you three. We're going into town to get some weapons. You tagging along?" He questioned. I nodded. "We needed to go weapon shopping anyway." I said dismissively. He nodded and walked off. "Okay then killing two birds with one stone. While I'm in town I can grab some quests from the tavern." I said. "Quests?" Nagisa questioned. Me and Karma sighed and facepalmed. "Hero work. Requests. You know." I tried. "Missions that we do to get rewards. Go into dungeons. Face bosses. Retrieve magical items. Stuff along those lines." Karma explained. "Ohhh. I'm stupid." Nagisa said sweat-dropping. I pat his head. "It's alright. We'll get you caught up in no time." I said with a small smile. After that the Phantom and E-class parties made their way into town. But a problem quickly became known. Me, Karma, and Koro-sensei didn't take it that seriously. We were sampling sweets. "Is it just me or is there something off about this place?" Nagisa questioned. "Maybe." Karma responded drawing everyone's attention to us. Koro-sensei was mumbling something about the ice cream while writing something down in his notebook. While Karma was focused on that I snuck a bite of his ice cream without him knowing. Hehehe. "Due diligence Okajima. If we're to discover what's going on we need to leave no stone unturned." Koro-sensei reasoned. Karma sweat-dropped realizing some of his ice cream was gone. He shot me a look but I just gave him the 'what? I didn't do anything' smile. Koro-sensei brought the village chief to explain the problem. Apparently it was a classic case of a village take over. I walked up in front of the man. "Does this count as a request?" I questioned. "Yes. I'll reward you travelers greatly if you help drive the witch out." He said. I thought about it for a minute. "Alright. You have to help of The Phantoms." I stated. "But E-class may need some convincing." I said looking at Koro-sensei. "Nufufufufu~ Me thinks there's potential here." He said. "Thank you kind travelers." The man said. I smirked at Karma and Nagisa. "Let's do this." I said.
We now stood in front of the tower. "Tower of Temptation?" I questioned my face scrunching up a little. "Yuck. I can already tell this is gonna be fun." I said sarcastically. Karma elbowed me. "Right sorry." I apologized. "Alright listen up." I started turning back to E-class and Nagisa. "Me and Karma will go in first since we have more experience with dungeons and quests than ya'll do. I only have two rules. Don't touch anything and don't talk to anything outside of your party and alliance." I stated firmly. "So we can talk to other members of E-class and you Phantoms but no one else?" Kayano questioned. "Exactly. You never know what could be a trap." Karma said as I nodded. I drew my two swords and Karma got his knife out. "Alright let's go." We both said in unison as we led everyone in there. The moment we walked in a blond woman approached us asking for water. Of course the two pervs Okajima and Meahara ignored my warning and helped her anyways. I sighed. "Welp there goes that plan." I stated while face-palming. The blond leaned in and kissed Meahara. Me and Karma smirked, watching with interest meanwhile everyone else was blushing and in shock. Meahara was entranced. The dialogue box read. She laughed. "Hahaha! Like candy from a baby." She stated before removing her cloak. This was the witch Irina Yelavitch alright. Okajima was entranced. Stupid dialogue box. I stepped forward. "You must be Irina Yelavitch the Seductive Witch right?" I questioned. "Yeah and so what if I am girly?" She questioned. "We will ask you once and only once. Leave the village alone. Or else." I said getting into a fighting stance. "And so what if I don't? What are you going to do? I've been working on a charm that works on girls too you know." She stated. I laughed slightly. "Quit bluffing. And even if you did it wouldn't effect me. I'm immune to magic enchantments and status aliments." I stated firmly. "Whoa is that true?" E-class asked Karma. "Yep. That's why she always leads the charge whenever we go into dungeons." He confirmed. Irina scoffed. "Well even so I can always entrance everyone in your party!" She said. "Not a good idea. That'll only make her mad." Karma called. After that she directed her attention to some of the other boys in the class. And even got Koro-sensei. She also kidnapped the girls...Including me. Stuck in the glass case I started being lazy and just sat down.
We were on the top floor and the other girls were trying to get me to do something. The boys showed up a few moments later. "Really Shadow you're going to be lazy now!?" Karma shouted at me. Irina cast her spell on the group. Only Nagisa jumped away. All the boys got entranced. Karma is unaffected. The dialogue box read as the pink smoke cleared showing that Karma was fine. "What the...?" Me and Irina questioned. "Alright you Trap Door Falling Freak when the hell did you become immune to magic!" I shouted standing up. "HOW THE HELL SHOULD I KNOW!" He shouted back. Irina commanded the others to push Karma and Nagisa out the window. Karma decided it was time to stop messing around. He snapped his fingers and a wall of fire separated him and Nagisa from the others. Karma cast fire wall. The dialogue box read. Karma jumped over the wall of fire and tore through the E-class male party. "Wow he's so cool!" The E-class females said. "Got to say for a witch with so much hype you're really easy to figure out and beat." Karma said cockily. Karma looked down on the Seductive Witch. A washing basin fell from the ceiling and hit his head. It bounced off and hit a red button that opened a trap door under his feet. He fell in. "KARMA!" Everyone shouted. I face-palmed. Koro-sensei and Karasuma showed up and rescued the girls. They were about to take on the witch. I walked out in front of them. "Get everyone out of the tower I wanna enjoy this." I said with an evil smirk.
~Karma's POV~
I was waiting outside the tower and everyone walked out. Everyone except for (Y/N). "Hey where's Shadow?" I questioned. As if to answer my question an ear piecing scream from Irina rung out loud an clear from the tower. "N-NO P-PLEASE STOP AHHHHHHHHHH! I'LL BE A GOOD GIRL PLEASE JUST NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" She screamed. The others all stared at the tower in fear. "What is she doing to that woman?" Kayano asked. "You do realize Shadow is a sadist right?" I questioned. The all sweat-dropped. We all ran up to the top floor to see Irina on the ground covered in cuts and bruises. She was also crying a little bit. "I-I'm truly sorry for everything I've done. I'll be a good girl from now on. I'm sorry." She apologized. We all looked at the smirking (Y/N) that was sitting on the couch with her feet propped up on the table and a drink in her hand. "Too easy. She wasn't even a challenge." The female sadist said with a carefree smirk. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER!" Everyone except me shouted. I just sighed and face-palmed. "Shads did you at least get any information out of her? I'm still confused about why her spell didn't effect me." I said. She shrugged. "Not much. Her spell doesn't effect females, those with magic resistance, and she said something about her spell not effecting those who already are loyal to someone else or those with strong will and discipline." She said dismissively. I shrugged despite the small blush on my face. "Welp can't be helped. I'm not sure any of those apply to me." I said. She shot me a look. "Are you blushing?" She questioned. "No." I answered quickly. "Are you lying?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "No." I responded just as quickly. She just sighed. "I'm too tired to deal with this right now." She said while yawning. "You're off the hook...For now." She said. I released a small breath.
