It's Just Business

I drive down the street and wait until I see Rashida turn a corner down my street. I honk at her. She spots my car and runs over, sitting next to me.

"Take me back home." I say the car turns around. "What's the problem?" I ask, looking at her tired face.

"I'm having problems recruiting." He whispers, avoiding eye contact.

I glare at her. She is having problems doing everything. I don't say anything the whole ride back as we get out, walking into my house.

"Go to my room." I command her, pointing to the stairs.

She runs upstairs to my room as I walk past the other girls who are silent. Christina catches my eye, who is by herself again. My evil mind is working it's magic. I smile to myself then walk upstairs to my room, slamming the door behind me. Rashida jumps, sinking into the bed. I take off my sunglasses to glare at her.

"So... you're having a problem recruiting now huh?" I say, sardonically.

She avoids eye contact, staying silent, her hands folded in her lap. I begin pacing back and forth. This is ridiculous!

"Why can't you recruit?" I ask, calming my tone.

"I... I just couldn't. No one wanted to listen to me. I-" She begins rambling, but I cut her off.

"You what?! No one what? You sound really stupid right now Rashida, but I'm gonna just listen. Go on." I mock her, rubbing my chin.

"I was trying Michael! I really was! No one was listening to me! Even when I grabbed the people and begged them to just come with me it didn't work..." She explains, sounding helpless.

I turn my back on her, glaring at the door. I don't want to look at her. She is so stupid. I take a deep breath. Let me calm down a bit.

"Maybe I need to get someone else for the job and downgrade you..." I ponder.

She jumps up and grabs me on my shoulder. "No! Please don't Michael! It was just a slow day! I can do better! I know I can!" She raises her voice, desperation in her voice.

I shrug her off. "Back up." I warn.

She backs up and I turn and look at her pitiful face.

"Let me remind you that you work for me because you owe me. You don't get promotions and you don't get to give me a two weeks notice when you leave. I could easily throw yo dumb ass back on the street where I found you! Now... get some damn recruits before I downgrade your incompetent ass!" I yell, feeling my blood boiling.

She runs out of the room and out of the house. I close my door, only to hear a knock a minute later. I crack it open, the Ginger is behind the door. I smirk.

"Hi Michael. Can I come in?" She asks, batting her eyelashes.

"Nah. I don't let babies in here. It's never a good idea. The stuff I do in here is nothing a baby should have to see." I coddle her.

She frowns. "I am not a baby!" She exclaims, pouting.

"Aren't you a virgin?" I ask.

"Yea."

"Then you're a baby. Go play with a toy or something." I mock, shutting the door on her.

I hear her scoff behind the door, stomping away. I chuckle to myself. I start to unbutton my shirt, but there is another knock on the door. I crack it again and it's the black girl. I open it wider.

"Hey baby. What's goin on?" I ask, looking her up and down.

"Michael I'm not a baby. You can let me in." She says, smirking.

"The closest you have ever been to a dick is that piece of plastic in your purse. Go practice some dance moves." I reply, closing the door on her.

She shuffles away. I love this part with the babies. They are always so cute and willing. Another knock on the door. I open it halfway, the girl with all the piercings is staring me down. She isn't one of my favorites, but she is pretty and those piercings make me wonder how much pain she had to go through.

"So how many piercings do you have?" I ask, leaning on the door frame.

"Eleven." She answers proudly.

I raise my eyebrow. "It doesn't look like eleven." I reply.

She starts pointing to all of her piercings. "Two on each ear, one in my nose, one in my eyebrow, one on my tongue, one on my navel, one for each nipple... and one down below." She says, smirking.

Oo. That had to hurt. I wave her down when she tries to show me her piercing 'down below'.

"So can I come in?" She asks, biting her lip.

"I'm sorry, but you won't get past my metal detector." I say, being a smart ass.

She puts her hands on her hips. "Very funny."

"Just go away." I say, waving her off.

Women and their obsessions. Before I can close the door, the cute blonde scurries over to my door. She's beautiful, but incredibly stupid.

"Hi Michael! I was wondering, I know you brought us here and all, but when are we going back to the club?" She asks.

"You're not. You work for me now." I reply.

"Oh! Okay. So you like run another club?" She asks, looking confused.

"No I do not." I say, almost laughing.

"So you run like... a house club?" She continues.

"There is no such thing." I reply, raising my eyebrow.

"Oh! Right, sorry. A mansion club." She corrects herself, though she still isn't correct. Poor girl.

"It's not a club. This is just my house." I explain, growing tired of this pointless conversation.

"So... it is a house club then." She says, staring out into the distance. Bless her heart.

I grab some cologne from off my side table and hand it to her. "Take this and go do something." I say, hoping she will go away.

The next few girls are all overly horny or just plain dumb. I'm tired of this now, I wanna go to sleep. I hear another annoying knock and I sigh, opening the door roughly.

"I'm not in the mood for this stupidity-" I stop myself when I see that it's Christina.

She looks offended. "Well never mind then." She says, walking away.

I grab her arm softly, stopping her. "Wait. I'm sorry. These girls are just driving me crazy." I admit.

"They are strippers. What do you expect?" She replies, folding her arms.

"You got a point. So what can I do for you?" I ask, knowing she won't waste my time.

"I just wanted to know about the bed situation. Is there enough for all of us?" She asks, looking down the hall, counting.

"There should be. If not, you can stay in my bed." I flirt, winking at her.

She looks down the hall. "No thanks."

I raise my eyebrow. There are mountains of women begging to be in here. What is wrong with her?

"So... you don't wanna come into my room? At all?" I ask.

"Not really. I'm sure it has a bed, maybe a t.v., a window, a closet, and a bathroom. I've seen rooms before. Doesn't interest me." She says, shaking her head.

"Yeah, but it's mine." I emphasize.

"I'm glad you care so much about your own room...?" She replies, scrunching her face up and walking down the hall.

I'm confused. Teenage girls are much hornier than her... really I shouldn't be wanting this attention from these young girls, especially since they are working for me, but I love attention. I'm shallow. She will eventually want me. They all do. I can finally get into my bed and rest. When I wake up I have so many texts and missed calls it's not even funny. I sigh, scrolling through them. Rashida, Kelhi, Mother, and Anna. I frown when I see her name. Why is Anna calling me? I call her back, thinking to myself, why did I keep her number? She picks up on the third ring.

"Hello this is Anna speaking." I hear that voice I haven't heard in a while.

"Anna this is Michael." I reply. There is a long pause, I check to see if the line went dead.

"... Michael." She breathes into the phone after a while.

"Is something wrong?" I ask.

"No." She says, quickly shooting down any worries I have.

"Then, why are you calling me?" I ask, genuinely confused.

"I guess I just miss you Michael..." She whispers, her voice trailing off.

I promptly hang up on her. I call Rashida back.

"Hello?" She answers, sounding cautious.

"It better be good news." I say, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Yes! It is Michael! I got a call from some druggies or whatever they are." She replies.

I throw my hands up. "So what?"

"They have a perfect recruit for us!" She exclaims.

"How do you know she is perfect? How old is she?" I ask.

"Fourteen." She whispers.

"Fourteen! Rashida she is a damn newborn!" I yell into the phone.

"I know, but she is the full package!" She counters.

"I'll be the judge of that. Put her on hold for now. I already have a young virgin I'm dealing with." I say, getting up and stretching.

"Okay. Oh I did really good today Michael! I got seven recruits!" I can hear her jumping up and down on the other end of the phone.

"Great. That is a portion of your debt repayed to me. Be happy." I say, hanging up on her.

Mother is next. She will wring my neck if I don't call her back in a timely manner. I call her back and it's a very short conversation. She's really not a phone person, but she sure talks my head off when I go to visit her. I text Kel instead of suffering through another phone conversation and decide that it's time to get up. I open my door to the girls running around the house. My eyes get wide and I whistle through my fingers loudly. They all stop in their tracks.

"Everyone in the living room." I say, pointing to the living room. I meet them in there, standing over them. "So today I will be putting you girls to work and seeing which position you will be in. Put your best foot forward." I say, smiling.

I look around at the girls and notice that Christina isn't here. I place all of the girls, seeing Christina walk into the room out of the corner of my eye.

"I'm sorry, did we do something? I had to get my brother and sister to school." She explains, dropping her bag.

I smile. "Not a problem. I am just placing everyone." I reply.

"I thought we decided what we did." She asks, folding her arms.

"Yes... technically you do, but I am simply telling you where you fit." I explain. She gives me a look. I can tell she ain't takin no shit. "You can be wherever you want baby." I reason.

She looks around at the girls dancing and stretching. "I'm not as outgoing as these girls. I'm not as experienced. I don't think I fit into your circle." She says, looking down.

I walk closer to her, shaking my head. "Baby, I picked you. You fit into my circle. You are special! I only pick special girls to work with me. I think the shyness is sexy." I comment, making her blush. I bite my lip. "Here, let me try this with you okay? You can go on dates." I say, knowing that's the only thing she will go for.

"Dates? You mean we have an option of just going on a date?" She asks, perking up.

"Yes. Also, most of these men only want to talk. No touching." I explain.

She raises her eyebrow. "I ain't never heard of nothin like that!" She argues.

"Christina, baby I wouldn't lie to you. These men are married and deprived. The ones I get you will not ask for anything but your company. I promise." I reply, giving her my best smile.

She looks at me, looking for a loophole, but finally gives in. "Okay fine. You're sure this pays better than stripping? I mean, we're just going on dates and... talking?" She asks, making sure.

"These men are rich and will pay big bucks to go out on a date with a young, sexy lady." I assure her.

She sighs. "It's worth a try. When do I start?" She asks.

"Tonight." I say, smirking.

To be continued...
