Love is like playing the piano. First, you must learn to play by the rules, and then you must forget the rules and play from your heart.

The class was in chaos starting with chatting teenagers to the screeching of the marker on the board.

"Alright." A lady stated, as she walked into the classroom holding a few books in her hands. The students, on the other hand, quickly dispatched to their various seats and, at the same time, toning down on the noise that had once engulfed the classroom.

"Good morning, class." She stated with a warm smile, as she stood in front of the classroom. She took a second to take a quick look at all the students in the class. None were missing and all were familiar. Satisfied with her daily routine check, she looked down at the table below her.

"Today we're starting with..." She started but stopped midway as she picked up the marker a student had hurriedly left there. The teacher noticed a female student, who walked into the class, but stopped by the door.

She properly turned to her tilting her head slightly to her left.

"Do you belong to this class? I'm sure I've never seen you before." She stated to the student, who, on the other end, gave a quick but brief smile before giving a reply.

"Not really... I'm new." She explained and the teacher nodded in accordance.

A few whispers went among the students, followed by one or two chuckles, but a young boy, who had his head bent all this time, suddenly looked up at the voice of a young female student. He blinked several time, then adjusted his glass, so they could rest properly at the bridge of his nose. He rubbed his nose once as he kept staring at her. He took the opportunity to study her features.

For some reason, he had taken a strange interest in her. She looked probably the same age as he was. She was slim and fit, and somehow her hair looked like a golden waterfall. The longer he stared at her, the slower her movements became. He eventually furrowed his brows at how strange everything seemed. As she blinked, her eyelids moved ever so gracefully, and without a care about the world. Her lips, they weren't plump, but they fit just right for her face. He couldn't hear a thing anymore.

All he heard was the sound of his fast racing heart, which inadvertently grew louder as she turned away from the teacher and walked directly towards him. Their eyes met for a second. He widened his eyes out of surprise, but then as she drew closer in a movie, in slow motion, the beating of his heart grew louder. Fear gripped him as he thought why she walked in his direction. He wondered if she had noticed that he'd been staring, so his fear look over, therefore causing him to stay away from her.

His breathing had seemed deeper as he stared down at his desk, trying to seem to be okay as he nervously rubbed his palms together. He argued within himself whether or not to look up. Eventually, he gave him and slowly raised his head. He saw the teacher writing on the board. He looked away from her, scanning the classroom for any sign of her. His notorious bully slightly turned his head, and as their eyes met, he had a wacky facial expression just to scare him off. It as worked as the boy stared away from him, still in search of the girl. His eyes widened a bit as he found her, but she was seated right next to him. He felt his breathe hitched as he stared at her desperately searching for something in her bag. He took a look at the book on her desk, and tried of think what it might be about.

She sighed quite frustrated as she couldn't seem to find what she had been so sure she left within her bag. Suddenly, she felt a light tap on her arm and so she slightly turned to the young boy in glasses with a pen in his hand stretched out to her. She stared at the pen for a second, quite surprised at his catching on at the fact that she had lost her pen and needed one at the pressing moment.

As she looked up to him, he shyly lowered his lashes. He couldn't meet her eyes. She didn't know what it was about, but something about him made him feel comfortable, therefore she flashed him a simple yet heartwarming smile, as she collected the pen from him.

"Thank you." She appreciated in almost a whisper. He had to look at her at the sound of her voice. He saw the smile she left for him. Seeing her smile made him smile as well. He somewhat felt better. He didn't quite see the need to be scared or frightened anymore.

"Hi... I'm Tyler." He told her almost in a whisper so as not to attract the teacher's attention.

"Kiana." She stated her name to him as well with a smile on her face as she looked away from him and to the teacher.

Kiana.

He recited her name once more within his mind. He heard never heard such a name before and that was good. To him, it sounded unique and amazing just like its owner. A smile curled up on his face as he stared at her. The only thing he could conclude was the fact that she was beautiful, regardless of that, she spoke to him, she didn't ignore him.

As he turned back to his teacher, he couldn't help but think of a possibility that that semester might just be great!

Finally, the bus came to a stop. Kiana was truly grateful for that, as Enrico was recently irritating her. Immediately, she got up to her feet to walk out of the bus. Enrico noticed as she quickly walked past him. He, then, got up to his feet refusing to lose track of her.

"It's been lovely chatting with you but I have to go. " Enrico told her and without waiting to hear anything she had to say, he quickly went after Kiana.

"Hey! " Enrico called out to her, as he struggled to walk past a few passengers that stood in between them.

"Kiana! " He called out once more, as they got off the bus and she hastily walked off refusing to look back. He hurried his pace towards her, then took hold of her arm to turn her around. She withdrew her arm away from his hold hating his very guts.

"We're back in the city. I don't see any reason why we should keep heading out together, so I'm just going to take my leave. I have a job to do." She explained before turning away.

"Payment number two..." Enrico started, not quite giving a damn about all she just said to him. A sly smile curled up at the corner of his lips as he noticed she came to a halt at her attempt at walking away.

"... I need an escort to an art exhibition being held tomorrow. I spent the entire day with you, so I had no time to find one, therefore, I picked you." Enrico stated something he hadn't quite considered till like a few seconds ago when he realised she was about to leave.

Kiana's brows slightly furrowed in disbelief. Confusion engulfing her as well, then she eventually turned to him.

"Escort?" She repeated his words, a slight amusement echoed in her voice, as well as written on her face. Enrico couldn't care less about what she thought, so he buried a hand into the pocket of his coat before nodding to her question.

"Why should I do that? Why would you want to go with me when you can get any type of woman you like?" Kiana asked the one bothersome question, as she folded her arms below her chest.

Enrico's smile broadened at her question.

"I must say, Kiana; I'm truly honoured by how much faith you have in me." Enrico stated and Kiana rolled her eyes annoyingly away from him.

"But that won't change anything. First, you work for me. Second, you owe me and I clearly remember you stating a few hours back just how ready you are to pay back every dime I spent on you." Enrico added and Kiana knew he had a point. Although it was the weekend, he was still her boss. Plus, she did promise to pay back all he spent on her in whatever possible way. She lightly bit her lower lip, regretting having earlier said that part of her sentence. She'll very soon have to clear the part where she won't literally do everything possible to pay him. She can't sell her body, steal or kill a human being for any reason whatsoever.

"What? What are you thinking?" He asked, noticing the way she stared at him, quite obvious that something was going on in her mind.

"Okay." She stated in a low voice, hating the fact that she was giving in. Enrico smiled loving the fact that he had his way. Kiana, on the other hand, took in a deep breath before attempting to walk away.

"Your number." Enrico called, stopping her once more. She turned back to him with furrowed brows.

"My... number?"

"Yes. Your phone number. Don't get your hopes up. I'm only asking for it, so I can text you the address of the event being held tomorrow. By the way, you can't be late." He told her, quite keeping his composure. Kiana wouldn't lie or anything of that sort, but this felt kind of weird. She understood all this didn't quite mean anything, but a part of her felt quite reluctant to hand over her number. He could always get it from her file record. Either way, he was going to have it, so she was going to give in once again.

"You'll have to write it down. You broke my phone, remember?" Enrico told her, still having the same amusing smile on his face. He watched her sigh, seemingly stressed out as she reached into her handbag for something to write with. Gratefully, she found a jotter and a pen. She immediately wrote down her phone number, tore out the part of the paper she wrote on then handed it to him. He took a look at it while she put the rest back into her handbag. A satisfying smile drew across his face while she wasn't looking. As she looked up back to him, he slightly looked away from her.

"Good night, sir." She told him, before quickly turning away, refusing to give him any more chance to stall her.

Enrico sighed as he watched her walk away, eventually disappearing among the hustle and bustle of the bus terminal. As she walked away, he argued with himself if he should offer her a lift home but then again, he shook his head at the thought. He didn't want to make it seem like he was into her or anything of that sort. The fact still remains that she was his employee and anything he thought he had for her in the past will always remain in the past.

"Get a hold of yourself, Enrico." He cautioned himself in a whisper, as he turned away from her towards another direction. He still had to get his car from where he parked it and so after taking in a deep breath and forcing himself to stop thinking about her or anything related to her, he increased his pace.

Kiana turned on her bed for the fourth time that night. For some reason tonight, she was finding falling asleep quite hard. She couldn't stop thinking about all that had happened that very day, starting from when she bumped into him till when he asked her to escort him to a date. He even asked for her number.

Finally, she sat up on the bed engulfed in the darkness of the room. Kiana sighed quite loudly. She couldn't stop thinking of the reason why he would ask her to be his date... Date? That was the word she hadn't thought of all this time. She violently shook her head, as if that would ward off her thoughts, yet it only worked for a second but then they all came rushing back to her mind again. No matter how she thought about it, the fact still remained that she was, kind of, going to be his date tomorrow. Kiana ran her hand through her hair and at the same time, quite frustrated with herself for thinking this way. It was quite obvious that Enrico had moved on in his life. There was no way he still had a crush on her; rather, literally every woman has a crush on him. That was how good looking and wealthy he was. The interest of the lady on the bus proved her theory right.

"Urgh!" She exclaimed quite loudly, as she threw her head backwards and covered her face with a pillow, as if suffocating herself. She needed to get all these crazy thoughts out of her mind, if she goes crazy herself.

Enrico paced to and fro in his living room that same evening. He came down there, as he couldn't fall asleep and no matter what he did, sleep refused to find solace within him. There was a lot going on in his mind, starting from the thought of why he even bothered to save Kiana in the first place and down to the fact that he asked her to escort him to his aunt's art exhibition. He even collected her number. Why did he do that? He had no good answer to that question. He just did it. Perhaps, he didn't really want to part ways with her, but that was also a crazy thought. Kiana was his assistant and he was going to see her by Monday when she showed up for work. What, then, was his deal? That very question was maddening.

He suddenly stopped, then lurked his eyes left and right. He shouldn't have asked her to come with him as an escort. He should have shaken hands with her right that moment and said his goodbye. He shouldn't have even asked for her number. The thought of her possibly thinking something was up with his requests made him mad. He didn't want her thinking he somehow still cared for her or worst, sort of had interest in her. He strongly believed that wasn't so. He was just...

Enrico immediately buried his face within his palms. He was truly lost for words. That alone meant trouble.
