"Night kiddo!" Alex calls from the front door of the store.
"Night Alex!" I call right back to him.
"Madison?" He asks.
"What do ya want?" I call and laugh.
"I'll be back tomorrow!"
"I know that."
The door shuts.
I lay back down on the soft leather couch. I turn on vices and virtues by panic at the disco and relax. The bell on the door jingles as someone opens it.
"Alex I thought you were leaving?" I call from where I am with my eyes still closed.
"Um," the male voice says quietly.
"Crap- I guess you're not Alex. Hold on." I get up from the couch and walk to the front to see a guy in black pants and a black shirt with red hair peeking out from under a black beanie.
"Yea I'm not Alex." He says shyly.
"I'm sorry." I laugh and adjust the cardigan I'm wearing.
"Oh well my friend Tyler told me to come look at this place, he said it was pretty sick. Oh- were you closed? I can leave if you want me to," he says.
Then I realize it's Josh Dun, Tyler Joseph's friend.
"Oh my gosh, you're Josh dun. Please take a look around I'll be here all night." I smile and turn on some of the lights in the front of the shop.
"Thanks, um," he awkwardly says.
"I'm Madison. Please calm if you need anything." I say and retreat to the back of the shop, I have some books I want to read.
I flip open Looking For Alaska by John Green. It's one of my favorites.
"Hey um, do you have um, any Cage The Elephant albums?" He asks timidly.
For some reason I'm very comfortable with band members just waltzing into my store and talking to me.
"It's under Alternative under C." I tell him as I close my book to get up and help him find the album he wants.
"What album are you looking for?" I ask as he rummages through the Alternative section.
"Melophobia." He tells me.
"I love that one!" I say as I pop the album out from the box it's in.
"Thanks so much Madison. Do you mind if I look around for a little bit? Tyler's on a date with Jenna and I don't want to be alone. If that's okay. Were you going to close up? I can leave if you need me to," he rambles on.
"Josh, stay as long as you want. In fact, you can come hang out with me if you don't wanna be alone." I say to him.
"Really? Wow, thanks. I'll look around for a bit first." He smiles and picks up the Vessel vinyl from the record player.
"I see you've got a great music taste." He smiles a pearly white grin and places the record back on the player.
"You and Tyler are definitely great performers and cool people, since I've met you both today." I chuckle at the thought of Tyler bursting into the store earlier.
"Ty is definitely a character. Oh-he told me to tell you he's sorry for running into your store earlier. He also said Alex turner was here and I should see him but I guess he's gone now." He smiles and laughs a bit.
"Tell him it's totally okay. And yea, Alex is a good friend of mine. We've know each other for a few years. It's easy to make friends with famous band members when you have a job like mine." I say.
"Do you mind if I turn this back on?" He asks, pointing to the record player with Favorite Worst Nightmare on it.
"Totally!" I say and place the needle on the record and start the player.
My stomach grumbles and I remember I haven't eaten since Alex got here this morning.
"Im ordering pizza, you want anything?" I ask as I pull my phone out of the back pocket of my black skinny jeans.
"Um," he says awkwardly.
"We can share the pizza, do you want anything else?" I say, dialing the pizza places number.
"No, but I'll pay. Please, I'm the one keeping you open." He grins and rubs the back of his neck.
"Fine Josh Dun." I sigh playfully and put the phone to my ear.
