My body was weak. My arm was numb and I could hear blurred voices. My vison was weak and I couldn’t open my eyes. I tried to, but couldn’t.

My throat was sore and my head hurt. I felt something cold touch my forehead and in that moment I jerked forward and my eyes flew open at the sudden change of temperature. I looked around and coughed, trying to catch my breath.

“Estelle!” my face was suddenly in someone hand and I was looking up into familiar brown eyes. My head spun in circles and I closed my eyes wanting to go back to sleep. “Estelle….Look at me” I heard that familiar voice again and slowly opened my eyes.

“Gael?” I whispered holding into his arm “It’s me…Im right here” I then felt someone take my other hand “I think we should let her rest…” that was defiantly Jessica’s voice.

“She’s been sleeping for the past 2 days. She needs to wake up and get back to her senses” I signed and moved my head ignoring the pain that surged through me.

“You guys are giving me a head ache” I mumbled rubbing my eyes as I slowly leaned back on the bed.

“Where am i?” I opened my eyes and tried to focus on my surroundings “My house” Gael shrugged making my eyes widen. “Your house?” Gael nodded his head and sat down next to me as Jessica pooped in my view.

“Gael found out what happened and after being in the hospital for 2 days he wanted you to be transferred to his house…” I shook my head and looked over at Gael.

“I want to go home” Gael shook his head angrily “You are not going home. After what happened I won’t allow you to go home.” I angrily sat up and ignored the pain in my head and arm.

“You do not own me” I growled at him “I know that, but this is for your safety” I rolled my eyes “Where is Aunt…” I trailed off biting my lip.

“She’s in juvie at the moment. She’s going in for her court trails in a couple of days and she is going to start going to rehab…” I breathed in and grabbed Jessica’s hand.

“Im sorry Jess.” Jessica smiled softly and shook her head “Don’t be. I should be apologizing because it was my mother’s actions that hurt you” I smiled at her and played with her fingers.

“Okay let’s stop right there. Why don’t you guys get showered and we then can get some ice-cream and watch a movie?” Gael popped in interfering mine and Jessica’s moment.

 “I don’t mind, Ice-cream and a movie sounds good to me, Estelle?” I rubbed my eyes “Can I just get a little bit more sleep?” I whined Gael shook his head and played with my hair “You need to get out of bed, lazy” 

I sat up and groaned “How am I supposed to get out of bed with a banged arm?” Gael stood up and smiled “I’ll help you.” I sat up and under Gales help I got out of bed “Now, you have two options. Either I can help shower you or I can help shower you” I laughed and slapped Gaels arm with my other arm that wasn’t bandaged.

“I think im cable of showering by myslef…get me a plastic bag and I’ll wrap it around my arm” Gael looked over at Jessica and smiled at her “Can you go down stairs and get me a plastic bag from the kitchen cupboard?” Jessica nodded she turned around.

“Sure” she smiled and left the room. I turned around and smiled at Gael. “Thank you Gael” I reached out and grabbed his forearm steadying myslef.

“No need to thank me.” I sat down back on the bed and pulled Gael next to me. “I need to thank you, because im guessing that you’ve been looking after me since I went in hospital and you’ve provided me with a place to stay.” I paused and looked down at the ground the back at Gael.

“I can’t stay here. I won’t go back to the house, I’ll rent out an apartment for myself and Jessica” Gael shook his head and stood up. “That’s not going to happen. I have plenty of space here; I have over 6 spare rooms. You and Jessica can live here and we can be one happy family”

I couldn’t help but laugh at the end of Gale’s sentence “I can’t stay here. What about your parents? Siblings? If you have any…” Gael crossed his arms across his chest.

“My parents are fine with you staying here, plus they were the ones that recommended you stay here. Also my parents are always travelling, no need to worry about them.” I signed and leaned back down on the bed.

“You can’t say no to me. I’ve already talked to Jessica and she’s fine with staying here until everything is sorted out” I sat up and nodded my head “Okay, alright. Help me up please?” Gael nodded his head smiling; he helped me back up again.

“There shower is on your left. I’ll go and make sure your room is ready” I nodded my head and slowly walked over to the bathroom. My legs felt like jelly.

“Thanks Gael” I turned around, I grabbed the plastic bag out of Jessica’s hands.

“Thanks Jess” I smiled at the both of them and walked into the bathroom closing and locking the door in the process. I signed and took off my clothes, and then wrapped the plastic bag around my bandaged arm and tied it so no water could get in touch with the bandage wrapped around my arm.

The water was hot; it felt great to be under the shower. I washed my hair, body and then dried myslef; I wrapped a towel around my body and another small towel around my hair. 

I walked out into the room and gripped my towel around my body and felt my cheeks heaten up as Gael smirked at me. “Can you please leave so I can change?” I bit my lip and Gale nodded “Mmmmm…Yea, your clothes are here” I smiled at him and watched as he stood up and walked out of the room.

I walked over to the pile of clothes and groaned, why am I not surprised? Its Gael where talking about. I shook my head and put on the pair of ripped boyfriend jeans on and a black crop top that stopped just above my belly button. I put on my shoes and dried my hair; i put it up in a messy bun. 

I looked over at myslef in the mirror and smiled slightly I shook my head as I looked at my swollen arm. I bit my lip and walked out of the room and looked at Gael who leaned against the wall with a toothpick in his mouth.

“I knew they would look hot on you. Next time I’ll pick out those ripped tight shorts of yours” I rolled my eyes and folded my arms across my chest “I need a jacket, I don’t exactually feel comftorble leaving the house like this” Gael rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

 “Estelle you look fine as fuck. No need to worry”
