Chapter 214: Merging the Haurmi pt 3: the ritual

"Are we sure this is gonna work?"

"Of course it will, have faith"

"Faith and time are not on our side Jade"

The conversation back and forth was between the brown haired girl and the blonde. As the others around them was preparing to do the spell that would bring all the harumi's back together again. Everyone was worried and scared, they didn't know what was going to happen, but they knew they needed to stay together that was what was important. The blonde haired boy, looked even more nervous then anyone else. He was biting his lip, he kept moving his leg he looked like something was on his mind, the blonde haired girl, Jade saw this and walked away from Kaitlyn. She had a feeling he needed a friend right now and she figured she could be that friend as long as he let her, she walked over and at first he didn't seem to notice her presence, she raised an eyebrow and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey, you okay?" Asked Jade as she gave him a sympathy look. The green ninja wasn't expecting the girl to sneak up on him like that while he was in his thoughts. He jumped, and nearly fell off the couch he was currently sitting, and Jade gasped seeing this and went to help him, even though he refused at first she didn't care, she still held her hand out and offered it to the boy. As his face was bright red, it was almost as if he was embarrassed that he had gotten scared by the girl. But Jade wouldn't say anything because she knew what it was like to be embarrassed, and she knew what it was like to be humiliated, so she wouldn't hold it against him. Once to his feet, he brushed some dirt off of himself, and then sighed.

"Lloyd, you didn't answer my question" she says as she leaned forward, and gave him a smile. The boy looked conflicted, like he knew he shouldn't ask for help, and even if he did he would be laughed or rejected by her but, Jade wanted to tell him that wasn't true and she knew harumi felt the same way but she was here to tell both of them if need be eveything was going to be okay and it was completely okay to ask for help, there's nothing wrong asking for help, the boy looked away and then fiddled with the sleeve of his gi. It looked kinda dirty and Jade, then got an idea she smiled, her teeth gleaming in the light as she gave one of those goofy grins she always wore it was like a trademark of hers, one thing that made her apart of the other two girl, they all had something different and unique about them, that put them apart from each other and one of jades was being goofy.

"Why don't we go, and clean up, that Gi of yours togther" the blonde suggested to the boy; his face went bright red and tried to get out of it using any excuse he could think of but That didn't work on Jade as she already heard most of those already before.

Once the blonde haired girl convinced josephine let her use the cleaning products for Lloyd's clothes The two were outside in the sun shine as Jade was putting Lloyd's cloths on one of those old fashioned clothes lines from back maybe in her grandparents age she wasn't sure she shrugged as she felt the sun hit her face she smiled, she loved the sun on her face it felt warm and comforting, it reminded her of her mother telling her to go outside as it was good for pimples and she would fight her mother on that, she had to laugh at how stubborn she was, but she also frowned because she missed her mom, she missed her dad, her brothers, her friends. She missed Everyone and she was sad how she left things at Christmas, but she knew she would be going home soon so she could make up with them all when she got home and she was happy to do that, they were all stubborn Everyone in her family was stubborn, as a rock, she knew it wasn't going to be easily but she didn't care she would do whatever it took to make up with her family.

"Jade?" Came the sudden voice of Lloyd. The girl was so caught up in her thoughts she didn't even hear Lloyd trying to speak to her it seemed it was her turn to be embarrassed she had to laugh at that, what was wrong with her, she shook her head, and then gave Lloyd a smile.

"Yes?"

"Do you think, it'll be really possible for us to Bring Harumi back?"

Jade Bit her Lip she knew it was bad to lie and give him false hope and she didn't know what to do in this situation but in the end she knew there was only one correct answer.

"I don't know, but we won't know until after we try the spell".

There was silence between the two, it was defeating and it felt suffocating, Jade didn't like that she didn't like that once bit. she turned to look at the blonde boy. Who was just staring up in the space she knew that he had a lot of things on his mind and she probably shouldn't interrupt his trying to type, but she was honestly worried about him. Yes, there's a lot of things going on in his mind, but he shouldn't have to go through that alone he shouldn't have to, feel like he needed to keep all these feelings inside taking a deep breath, she looked at him, and she placed her hand on his shoulder. The blonde looked an emotion she wasn't sure what it was but it looked confused but also relaxed, at that moment. She signs.

"Tell me what's bugging you" she says as she leaned back and gave him a look, he looked like he wanted to deny it but he knew Jade wouldn't let him off the hook that easily and so he signed and then told her what was going on.

"I'm worried, worried that; Harumi can't be brought back, worried we can't save the city, worried we can't stop zephry! I'm worried about Everything Jade!"

The girl sighed, as she pushes some hair away from her face she was also feeling some doubt about not putting haurmi back but she didn't want to show it she knew the only way they were getting harumi back was trying out the spell even if they knew there was possibly it wasn't going to work and that might have to be a reality they face soon, the girl, a down, a silent home, and she turned to look at the blonde boy, who looked even more distraught than when they first came out. She felt bad, because she felt like she had caused this, but she also knew that she needed to remain calm because if she freaked out then he would freak out and everyone would freak out and that's not really what they needed right now they needed to become and be positive because positivity was what they needed and lucky for her. She was the most positive one of the group.

"I know, your fears are not unfounded Lloyd, I'll say that" she tells him as she turned away for one second trying to gather her words to figure out what she was going to say because she knew she said the wrong words it could turn into a whole giant thing Lloyd can try and run away from here and so many other factors could happen and then it's not what they need right now. Taking a deep breath, she close her eyes breathed in and then out, and then looked at the blonde boy, who looked like he was about to say something, but she immediately cut them off because she didn't wanna hear any of the negative talk she gave a smile one that she hoped was convincing and sighs humming slightly. She really hoped she came off positive.

"But the thing with fears is, they Hold you back, and I'm sure you know all about this but I do thinks it's best we try the ritual, this could be the only way to get harumi back" she felt some sadness saying that and she knew it was possibly true but she couldn't focus on that right now she needed to focus on cheering Lloyd up and she hoped she was doing a good job. She saw his facial expression change from one to another before. He finally looked like he had decided on what he was going to say, but then immediately didn't say anything almost if you got afraid to say anything in fear of what she was going to say back. She wondered if something happened to make him afraid of talking to her she wondered if she said anything, or did anything and an small frown appears on her face when seeing the look he gave her.

"I guess I don't understand, how you can remain so positive in all of this, never once had the smile left your face. How do you do it?" He asked the girl who looked away.

"It's not easy I'll say that, but it's easier when you have friends to rely on" she says. The blonde gave her a look at first, not knowing if he should believe her answer or not but part of him looks like he did want to believe it like she was right considering that she was older than Lloyd. Not by too much but enough that she was older than him and they always said that you should listen to your elders, so maybe he should listen to her he had a weird feeling in his chest like it was a bundle of nerves just trying to untangle themselves from a mess of webs. He wanted to ignore that feeling because he didn't feel like a good feeling so he took a deep breath, and he knew he just needed to focus on the positive and he would be all right.

"Your right, I've been going about this all wrong. I will try to be better at it in the future" the blonde hair girl smiled, and she pulled her glasses off her face, so then he could truly see her full face. It wasn't often Jade took off her glasses, mostly because she couldn't see, and she was blind as a bat without them, so she, of course she need to wear them all the time. But Lloyd couldn't help but notice how much older she looked without them. She looked a bit younger with the glasses on but with them off, she looked like a completely different person. She looked like she was older and much wiser, and she knew what she was talking about. He let out a sigh. He knew that he did just need to be more positive because positivity always won in the end.

It was then they heard their names being called. They turned, and they saw that it was one of their friends calling for them because they were about to start the ritual the ritual that would see if they would be able to get harumi back. The two looked at each other and nodded. They knew whatever happened they would all get through it together none of them were going through this alone. They all had lost her and now, hopefully with the spell they were going to get her back. They walked inside and saw all the virtual stuff being set up. Everyone else was in a circle holding hands, getting ready to start the incantation so then they could see if it truly worked and they would get harumi back.

" so we all ready?" Lilla asked everyone nodded as they all gave each other a reassuring nod before the ritual would begin.

"Let's do this!" Jade says. As they all turned to Matais who held the spell book.

"Alright, remember once I start to spell, there's no going back, and at the end of the spell because you all are acting as conductors is going to join your energy as well as mine. Are you all prepared for this?"

After giving each other one last look, they all nodded yes, and mantis signed:

"Alright here we go then"
