Chapter 198: Meeting Jade's Family

In a Neighborhood of houses, the white fluffy snow fell, and the cold air swirled around. Stood a brick house, Among the other Homes. The Grass was covered in a blanket of snow, and you couldn't even see the ground; as the snow came down faster and faster, it seemed they would get a few inches of snow. Everyone loved the winter, as it was a time to relax and have less stress, unless it was December. However, everyone else was having fun and enjoying the winter scenery, playing in the snow. Having a snowball fight, making igloos, and other fun winter activities, Half Of the resistance Including Jade, Anger, garamadon, Lloyd, Warrior, and Mistake. They were currently inside Jade's home after they had all decided to split up, Taking some of the resistance with each of them, So they all wouldn't be in one place, Not to mention They had a lot of explaining to do with why they had been gone so long, and What exactly happened. So here they were now, Jade and some of the other resistance members, Inside The kitchen, Of Jade's parents' House, Jade's parents, Brothers, some family members, and Jade's Dogs. They all stood in the kitchen, and Jade looked hesitant to say anything; she was tapping her foot, biting her nails, and letting out tiny breaths; she Looked like she was holding onto something.

The blonde twirled her hair, as Her parents and other family members looked at her, their stares like daggers. Lloyd took in the silence and noticed no one had spoken yet, and he knew it was probably because No one knew what to say. Since This was the first time seeing their daughter and Family member for who knows how long. Lloyd didn't know how long The time was different between the two realms. He looked around and noted That the Tallish Woman looking around Five feet and two inches, with brown hair with highlights, Must Be Jade's mother, as she looked like her more than her father, who Lloyd assumed was the taller man, with The blue eyes, taller figure at about six feet or so, with spikey hair. He didn't know much about genetics, but it sure seemed Jade Must've Gotten at least her eye color from her father, since her mother's eyes were Hazel or brown, whatever way you wanted to look at it. He sighed. He was at a loss for words here; at first glance, Jade's Family seemed like very nice people, Even if they hadn't said a word since they had appeared at The brick house a few hours ago.

He looked around the table and Saw everyone was quiet, and he wasn't sure who would speak first; he hated to think of The blonde girl getting into trouble for coming to help them when Harumi needed a way to get home. He was happy when he first saw Harumi but never quite questioned On Where Jade, Lilla, and Kaitlyn came from and Where Harumi found them.

Jade's father let out a grumble, making everyone's eyes turn to him; they All Didn't know what he was going to say. "So, Jadeyn. You wanna tell us what was so important you left without telling us" The older man asked cooly. All the resistance members looked around, confused; who was Jadeyn? They only knew Jade, so who was this Jadeyn they spoke of? Did Jade have a sister she never told them about? Lloyd raised an eyebrow; he was pretty confused and even raised a hand to voice his confusion. "I'm sorry, to interrupt, but I wanted to ask: Who's Jadeyn?" once the Blonde haired boy asked this, all the adults looked at each other in confusion, and the adult's voices muttered and talked amongst each other, and they didn't know what They were saying, But Lloyd didn't think it was good chatter. It was then soon A taller blonde boy with blue eyes that resembled the male look-alike version of Jade Spoke: "Um, Jadeyn's right there," he said as he pointed to Jade, who looked like she was avoiding eye contact with everyone.

It was then the older woman Spoke; she took a sip of the tea she had gotten somewhere and then set it down on the table before she looked up at the other adults. "I'm afraid I don't understand; her name Is Jade, Not Jadeyn," She says. Once again, the other adults talked amongst each other, making Jade look even more nervous. After some silence, Jade's mother spoke: "Her name Is Jadeyn, But She goes by Jade," she explained, taking a sip of coffee from her mug and then setting it down on the countertop. The Oni lord let out a low growl and shifted. As he let out a few breaths. "If her name Is Jadeyn, Then Why Go by Jade?" he asked as he lifted his hands to express her confusion. Then the spikey-haired older man laughed, and his blue eyes looked at everyone as he started to explain. "Jadeyn is her real name; she Goes By Jade, To make it easier On people to spell her name," he says. Everyone in the group started to get what he was getting at and why Jade told them. That was her name.

Lloyd chuckled as he leaned back into his chair and looked at the blonde-haired girl who avoided eye contact with everyone and looked at her hands. "How hard is it really to spell your name?" The Blue eyed girl laughed as she slowly looked up at everyone. "You would be surprised," She told Lloyd. They rolled their eyes at her statement and even said: "How do you spell it, J-a-y-d-e-n" he asked as he let out a smile, but the Blonde girl laughed and stood up more in her chair, making her sit up tall. "That wasn't even close, Lloyd," She tells Lloyd. Who looked surprised. As he looked at the blonde, "Really?" He asked the blonde girl, who nodded. "It J-a-d-e-y-n' she explained as she yawned, took a sip of her sprite, and smiled. "It's Jade; then Add the yn," she explained to the group.

They all smiled and seemed to understand why the blonde had said her name was Jade instead of her real name. A growl was heard, and they all turned to see the man standing in the corner, arms crossed, and looking grumpy; however, it didn't seem it wasn't Garmadon who was acting grumpy. "Can we please focus? We're trying to figure out why Jade disappeared, remember?!" They all went into silence as they then remembered what exactly they had all sat down for, and the adults muttered a right as they all turned to the Blonde in question. Who looked back to being nervous. She bit her lip, didn't make eye contact, and sighed.

Jade stood up and then looked at Everyone. "Look, I'm sorry for disappearing, and I had a good reason, though," she tried to convince Everyone that she did have a good reason for it. The other adults rolled their eyes, knowing there wasn't a good reason, and she did it because she wanted to opt out of her responsibilities. Still, the thing is that that wasn't the case, and she wanted to help people, and she wasn't trying to get out of responsibilities Because that would be something that she never wanted to do; after all, she always loved helping people, but she just felt like they weren't listening to her, and she always felt like when she was home. No one listened to her, and now she's getting worse because they assume she is a liar.

The blonde huffed as she, too then, rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She knew what they were thinking. "It was for a good reason! I wasn't trying to run away!" But again, they ignored her since she was young, and it was assumed that young people don't know anything. Jade's older brother rolled his eyes and laughed. "Oh yea, what's the good reason? Do tell," he said almost in a mocking way. Jade hated the way he responded. It made her blood boil in anger, and her face got red.

"It was because I wanted to help a friend in need," she says as she looks around and scans the room. All the adults seemed to look at her with raised eyebrows. It seemed they still didn't believe what she was saying, and Jade sighed. "Same goes for Lilla and Kaitlyn; we Went to help our friend because An evil sorcerer took over their home!" Jade told them as she made some hand gestures that she was nervous, but she wasn't trying to show it as she was worried enough. But when she mentioned spell casters, Jade's other brothers, a man with hazel eyes and Curly dark eyes that was just as tall or even taller than Jade's blonde hair, brother laughed as he looked at his sister.

"Jade, are you sure this happened?" he asked as he looked around at the other adults, then scanned Lloyd and the others. "In real life?" He asked. As he put a hand on his hip, he didn't believe Jade. From what she started to explain very seriously, it seemed like Jade was just the crazy one in this room, even if they saw Lloyd and others in the kitchen right now in front of them.

Jade was angry they were trying to say she was making things up. She could believe this. They never thought about her when she wanted to tell them something. Jade growled and slammed her fist down angrily on the granite countertop. She winced as she caused pain to her tint hand. She wanted to wince and get an ice pack, but she resisted the urge and glared at her brother. "Yes, It Did!" she shouted, as her blue eyes glared at her taller brother, her teeth gritted together, and she didn't falter. "It happened; I'm not lying, Jonathan," Jade yelled. At her taller brother, who rolled his eyes and said to his younger sister with a snark.

"Just like when you said, Those "suspicious" People were trying to rob our neighbors' house?" he asked her. Knowing How Jade got and how she would imagine things and Think Things would be happening, it would be the opposite. He knows his sister way better than she thinks he knows here. As a baby, and younger, he and Jade were enemies. They hated each other, more hate On his part, though, since Jonathan had been the baby of the family, and He was the youngest, but then jade came. He was no longer the baby, and he had resentment against Jade, and then the two hated each other, and would often butt heads and not get along. But they both mellowed out, and They became quite Close once jade got to high school.

Jades face went red and furious. She did not like her brother talking about her in this way. She understood that he was protective, but he didn't need to be protective because she was not a kid anymore. She was older. She didn't need anyone to protect her. She could handle her self and she could defend herself. "Okay yes! I did that, I'll admit that" she says as he looked away she didn't look at Garmadon, nor Lloyd or anyone as she was too nervous and scared.

"But I'm serious, An Evil sorcerer took over their home and I went to help!" She says as she tried to get them to believe her, but it seemed fruitless since they all didn't seem to believe a word she had said, Jade sighs as she saw them and their faces and she knew what they were gonna say. She pushed her chair back, and then stood up and turned her back towards her family. "I have to go, we have Plans of meeting back with our friends at the park in an hour and I don't want to be late" she says as she pushes some hair from her face.

She gestured, for Lloyd, and Garmadon and the others to follow her, as they had to get going. But Jade hated how she was leaving things with her family and hoped she could talk with them soon and, get everything straightened out.
