Chapter 7: Beginning to forgiveness
As the white haired quiet one walked deeper into the dungeons, the temperature took a drastic turn. It was certainly colder in these stone-prisons. When she arrived to the green ninja's cell, she found him lying on the ground. Possibly asleep. She was doing so well in keeping her anger together but this right here just triggered her. Having no time, she dug the keys through the lock hole and slammed the metallic door open. "Wake up you idiot!" She scolded before kicking the blonde on his shoulder. It may not look like it hurt however receiving a boot's rand to your shoulder was a massive pain. The green ninja stumbled back without hesitation. Still, he didn't get off the stone cold floor nor opened his eyes. Which caused Harumi to lose more of her patience. She let out an infuriated cry. "Kai...i don't want to get up for training.." Lloyd rolled to the side, he groaned in his sleep. Her lips quivered: "You idiot!" She kicked him again, this time. The rand hit his head.
His eyes immediately shot open as he prompted himself off the ground. Naturally, one of his palms captured his head and rubbed the spot where she kicked. She gave him an unpleasant glare. Shooting chills down his spine. Her cheeks were noticeably in a tinted rose colour.
"About time you snapped out of it." She crossed her arms and stepped away from the wall where he was currently leaned against. "What do you mean?" Lloyd yawned, his eyes blinking once and awhile. She didn't wait to think of a response. The words rolled off her lips. "Don't play dumb." She started off hostile as ever before signing and keeping her tone down.
"Why did you kick me is what I'd like to know first. Why did you wake me up?" The green ninja impatiently spilled his questions. "What was that for?" His eyebrows were narrowed, showing that he didn't appreciate the new injury she caused him. Harumi lunged the book and it pressed against his chest. She held it in place for a few seconds, signalling him to take the book. In which he did and brought it closer to his face. "Why did you give me a-" he paused to look at the size of the book and flipped the first page. He realized that this book resembled like...he interrupted his thoughts with a small giggle. "Why did you give me a diary?" He questioned, amused.
Harumi huffed: "Just read the stupid thing, ok? Then we can talk." She insultes the simple piece of literature with all the burning hatred she had.
Lloyd began reading the entries. "Alright I will. Good grief.." he paused and his voice died down as he focused on reading instead of talking. "Let's see...The plans I have for the SOG and the fate of the quiet one.." he said at loud which caused him to widen his black pupils.
The white haired girl looked down. Avoiding all eye contact she could with the green ninja. She curled her palms into fists as well. The blonde looked at her with concern. "Where did you get this?" He asked. She replied dryly and slight cowardice took over her. Though she didn't want to make it obvious: "I found it laying by the ground when I was making my way to the emperor's throne room.".
Lloyd examined the pages even more, coming up with a conclusion that he'd hate to admit. "I hate to break it to you but this definitely looks like my father's handwriting." He informed her. She chuckled: "yeah ofcourse. How can a child not recognize their precious parents' handwriting?" She rolled her eyes sarcastically. But honestly, the mention of 'parents' made her die down a bit on the inside.
"Wow Thanks, I totally needed sarcasm just now." Lloyd replied in an unappreciative manner. "We're not friends. You're my prisoner I can mess with you as much as my heart desires." She informed him bitterly. Lloyd groaned, giving a disappointing sigh. "Yes I'm perfectly aware of that. Thanks. Anyways, what do you want and why am I involved in your problems?" He inquired. Finally a reasonable question for the quiet one.
She opened her mouth to talk but still she trembled slightly-no a lot. She stood there, losing her words by the minute. "I'd.....if it's possible-"
He stared down into her beautiful spacious black eyes. "What can I do?"he responded gently. The realization of her asking a murderer hit her. She couldn't turn back now. If she wanted to live, he was unfortunately the last resort. "Please, I need help." She lowered her head in shame and cowardice. There was a period of silence between the two before Lloyd sighed. "With what? You'd need to be more precise in life, you know?". Her eyes dilated a bit more. "Yeah I was getting to that part, you idiot. Geez...but I was wondering if you could help me stop your father." She told him.
He clenched his teeth and responded when he had enough time to think with a response. "How am I supposed to help you with that? Aren't I the pathetic green ninja? You said it yourself! You can't deny it. Second of all. I'm not Lloyd Garmadon. I'm only Lloyd now. The green ninja the whole city is looking up to." He reminded her a bit pettily. Harumi looked away.
"Look, before I formed the Sons of Garmadon, I was pathetic as well. We both are in our own ways." She started. "I was the resentful jade princess, griefsicknen from what happened to her parents. Now? Second in command, im ready for my name to be written in blood if I don't do something.". Her fear rose.
"Just because you're powerless doesn't mean you can't do something!" She urged him.
"Harumi listen to me. You were never pathetic. People loved you. Heck, the emperor and empress sure did. Though for your information, Pythor releases the great devourer. Not me." He turned the tables. Harumi crossed her arms, not seeming convinced.
"You deserve to be known as a weakling anyway. You didn't even try to stop Pythor! The best example of the 'mighty' green saviour isn't it?!" She mocked. Trailing off a few unsteady giggles. "I can guarantee you that's false. Me and my uncle tried to stop him and he resulted in getting eaten. Second, my father ran away with the golden weapons right after." He stated the facts. Harumi growled. "I would have expected that. It's about time he rightfully claimed the city." She smiled. She knew very well that would trigger the green ninja even more. He shook his head.
"No, it was to have the serpentine join forces with him." He told her the correct answer. The girl didn't catch on. Now that was one gem of a name.
She never heard of something that before. It was pretty self-explanatory that she didn't care about Ninjago's other villains one bit after her parents' deaths. Only keeping the great vicious devourer in mind. For years, she trapped herself underground. Planning out a course of attack. She needed to make the ninja pay. "The serpent- what?" She bit her tongue, stopping herself from trying to pronounce the name. "The serpentine." Lloyd coughed and turned to the exit of the dungeons as a shadow came into view. "But I'd like to tell you, someone wanted to see you again." He said quietly.
Her eyes sparked up. "Someone wanted to see me?" She inquired a bit softly and reassuringly. But her tone was patronizing as well. The blonde nodded and addressed to the shadow peering through the wall. Their red eyes reflected against the light emitting from the torches that were hung up. "You can come out. It's just her." Lloyd informed the figure. It was obvious that these two obviously knew eachother. He was able to make him calmly come out with no problem.

The white haired girl stepped back and tugged on the fabric on her aching chest. No no no, was this real? Her mind couldn't bare it. Her black pupils swelled up with tears as she buried her fragile face in her palms. Not giving a single care in the world if she ruined her facepaint again. "N-No....no.....NO I REFUSE TO BELIEVE HE'S-" the teenager raged out of panic. She slid down to the ground. Using her back to safely and not recklessly slide down. She used the stone wall as support as well. She sobbed uncontrollably and cried out in agony a few times. But the chances she did were occasional. This was too much for her to handle. The pain and the trauma, attacking her all at once. This heartbreaking scene or sight we could say of the familiar red-coloured nindroid: Mr. E looking at her in concern. For so long, she tried to keep her emotions hidden. She couldn't even cry a single time, thinking that it was a sign of weakness when it really wasn't. Until now, not a single tear was dropped.
Mr. E walked closer to Lloyd and glanced at him as he spoke: "Sorry if he doesn't pleasant to your liking. He looks a bit unfinished and incomplete. But you know? It's kind of hard to rebuild something when you don't have the right materials and tools. Plus, your hands are tied." He growled lightly towards the end. As expected, Harumi ignored him. Focusing on ceasing her sobbing and her misery land overall. He frowned.
"Harumi, are you ok?" He questioned. Noticing- no it was plain obvious she was really out of it. She wiped her tears and whimpered quietly. "Go away." She urged him. Lloyd sighed and glanced around the room. " Mad genius, I can't go anywhere. This cell doesn't have as much space as I desired plus if I tried leaving the dungeons overall, you'd slaughter me." He paused as a small chuckle stopped him. "I mean you're correct on that part. " she lifted her appalling expression towards the boy. "Back on subject, why do you care if I'm ok or not?!" Her red facepaint dripping down her rosy cheeks. It was messed up.
Not to mention her lips quivering due to shock and potential relief. It was the first time in awhile she had a proper outburst. "No matter the differences and tensions we had in the past, I still care about you no whenever and wherever." He reassured her. She looked at him and wiped the forming tears away. The red facepaint getting on her gloved fingers. She growled as she knew she had to wash them. It didn't look nice against the black fabric. "What gives you the guts to still care?" She inquired. He stepped closer to her and bent down. "Harumi, remember when I told you I'd be there for you? I meant it. Even if you revealed to be someone in which I hadn't thought you'd be, I'm not breaking that promise. I'm not like that." He attempted to smile weakly. She stared at the ground, taking in his bittersweet words. Her heart skipped a beat.
She loved him- yet hated him? What even was love? Due to all the killing thoughts rushing through her mind. She hadn't had a proper talk with herself and question this mere question. She turned to him and looked at him for a brief second. Lloyd had no idea what she was going to do. Attack him? Yeah that was the most likely answer. Giving in, he shut his eyes. Not hesitating another moment, she let herself fall into his arms. Wrapping them around him.
Her tone changed. The one who did all the talking when she was still happy, roaming around in the fields of her childhood. Where misery and hatred didn't take over her. Without any venom nor tricks she spoke softly: "Lloyd Garmadon, please save me." She whispered, more like it was a desperate call for help. The green ninja opened his eyes in a small amount of shock. Though he let his suspicions rest aside and closed the hug. "I promise I will save you." He told her, pulling her close to him.
That made the small child chime: "Thank you...for everything, really." She smiled at him. It made the green ninja's heart start beating faster. This was the version of Rumi he wanted to see. Her happy and considerate side.
Though he never gave up on hope yo see this side of her. He cherished every moment when she was like this. Her cheeks burned a deep red as she leaned in closer. In the heat of the moment. He chuckled softly. "No problem.Rumi." He responded before leaning in as well. Despite the glacial temperature of the room, the two teens' lips touched and they held eachother tight. Providing them with the right amount of warmth.
She kissed him gently and moved even closer to him. Her legs now wrapped around his waist. She was also sat down on his lap. Fortunately, he didn't mind one bit. With one hand, she tucked a strand of her white haired behind her ear. The blush against their cheeks became more apparent, both shut their eyes. Trying to enjoy this moment for once.
~~~~
After a minute or so. They broke the kiss due to lack of air. However, the blush never faded. The white haired girl looked at Lloyd and never discarded her smile. "Due to my revengeful and stubborn nature, I never accepted the feelings developing inside of me for you." She confessed, officially. Finally giving out the answer for the long-awaited and never solved question the two teens has been wondering about. "I'm certain I do now though.". Lloyd nodded and placed his hand in hers. "To be perfectly honest, I never lost my feelings for you as well." He replied to her confession. The smile on her face got even brighter. "I'm so happy." She whispered. From there, the subject was closed. They moved on to the important stakes at hand.
"Sorry, this took a turn. We should focus on stopping my father." Lloyd butted in. Harumi got off him and stood back up. "It's fine. It's just funny to work alone. Yet I thought your father would have my back. Violet is gone and Killow's the clown." She told him. Lloyd stood up from the ground as well. "For now, you don't need to worry about being alone. You have me and Mr. E." he paused when he realized something in her statement. "What do you mean Ultra Violet is gone? Wasn't she your friend?" He asked, mildly shocked that Ultra Violet decided to 'up-and-go.'
"Best friends don't leave eachother, I know. But due to my 'insorbordintion' for my own organization, she fled." Harumi told him, not really getting into more detail or else it would have interrupted her happy or more calm mood that is. He placed his hand on her shoulder. "Hey don't worry about it. Once we're out of here. We can find her. Then we'll head back to the current resistance base and take down my fathe- Garmadon." He blurted out at the last word.
"Let's do it then." She narrowed her eyebrows and left the small cell, waiting for him to follow. "The guards aren't aware that I'm here yet why would they?" She chuckled lightly. She was the second in command after all. The two walked up the stairs.
"Let's try to get that Killow guy onboard since he's your friend." He suggested. The nindroid followed behind them. She glanced at the robot before closing a fist. "Not a bad idea. But it'll be challenging to change his mind." She informed him. If he found out Ultra Violet left, he wouldn't agree to join their little cause.
"But you do have the book. That's enough proof for someone to join us." He smiled, pointing at the book in the white haired girl's hands. She waves the diary in front of her. "Right, I forgot about this painful thing." She whispered lowly. As they left the dungeons, the hallways seemed like a ghost town. Lucky chance, there wasn't anyone on patrol. Which upsetted Harumi a bit. These stupid guards. Slacking off again.
A/N Hiya guys! LillaSmolBean here! Thank you for reading chapter 7 of Reconciled hearts. Now I admit, this chapter was extremely long to write for once. Just the conversation and such between Lloyd and Harumi. I had to change up a few lines from the Roleplay since I didn't want to completely base all the dialogue from there. Even though...it's not technically plagiarizing since me and jdizzle do in fact own the Roleplay and plot. So I guess paranoia just hit me? Or was it creativity? Eh, i don't really know. Besides, if you liked the chapter, make sure to leave a vote! Comment down below if you and theories and thoughts. Me and jdizzle would love to hear em'! Also, do you think Killow will join the sorta rebellion team that Lloyd, Harumi and Mr. E have going along? Make sure to leave your response in the comments as well! Until then, see you guys in chapter 9! Bye!
