Everything seemed perfect, and grand and it seemed everything was leading up to be the perfect Halloween despite Zephyr's invasion. Yes they still roamed the streets during the take over, But the people of the fair city weren't gonna let some sorcerers ruin their halloween fun. Among the streets, along the houses, with the sidewalks, and all the houses big and small lined up beside each other. All The citizens were preparing for Halloween To come. The autumn air was cool and crisp, as the leaves blowing around in the wind never breaking formation. They all were, Happy as They prepared For the Fun Night, They all carved pumpkins inside their homes, and Parents inside said homes were helping their children with their halloween costumes. There were Some kids who did normal costumes, a Cat, a Fireman, and other types of costumes that a typical child would wear. But there were some kids who strived to be different, and Didn't have the typical costumes, That other kids would wear. The sounds of laughing Could be heard, as The children, Ran out of their homes, excited to go trick or treating and get those sugary Treats, That On Halloween Night. They would get a surplus Of. Everything seemed normal, and seemed perfectly correct?  Although There was something That not everyone was Quite Aware of, They had no Idea Of the plan, that Zephyr, and his gang of villains, and minions were cooking up, and for sure they were gonna be quite shocked when they found out, What exactly The evil Sorcerer was planning.

On the other side of the city, where Lloyd, and Harumi once gave out food to the poor, was an old abandoned Building. It was quite old, it was a tall gray building, It had windows on the side but, you couldn't see inside for they were cracked, and not to mention way too high up, near where the roof almost was  for anyone for anyone to see inside, there was green vines coming up the side of the building there was some leaves, but It seemed They withered away. From an outside standpoint. You could wonder what's inside the building, and what was the purpose of the building and what  people were trying to hide, or keep in. But that however was a long time ago, way before Harumi, Lloyd, Or even Wu or Garmadon's time. As if right now because of the invasion, There was no one around the building, no one lived around there, and no one felt the need to, Especially with the stories that surrounded that building. Even The poor, Wouldn't go Near that building. Even if it was the coldest night in the winter, or the hottest day In the summer. It was strictly forbidden, even for those who were just passing by to even go near That building.

Some say it's the oldest building in ninjago's history. There were even some rumors on, That old building being the first to ever be built in ninjago city. Everyone wondered what exactly the building was being used for, but no one exactly knew what it was. Everyone, Had different theories, and observations. But most of them did not make sense, and every theory or whatever someone came up with was crazier than the last. There was even a rumor that those who went inside the building never came out, and people would often make up halloween stories, and tales. Some stories involved, the story Of Kids would be kidnapped and held there, until the parents paid random, other stories weren't to be told in a particular setting. Even so there was even a person who claimed, the  Great Minded scientist The great, Great, Great grandfather of cyrus borg, Who no one knew the name of, since those who worked for him, worked inside, and never were allowed to leave, and they were never allowed to see the daylight again. There were rumors that inside he was working on a machine, one that No one knew exactly what it did. There were different people saying different things, About what the machine did, because It was all speculation and rumors because No One was allowed Inside the building Beside the workers, and The scientist Himself. Some say it opened a portal To other worlds, and brought along some of the scariest things in the world. In short , they say It brings Your nightmares to life.

Others have Different opinions, and don't quite agree. "Brining fears to life!" That's crazy some would say not believing that to be the truth. Others say, The machine inside the old building, Would Turn Halloween, real, and if you're not sure what I mean, well , I will elaborate. Monsters would become real, those who wore costumes would become what they wore, and Zombies would rise from the ground, Werewolves would be allowed to roam the streets. Witches, and vampires would be allowed to fly within the sky, and all monsters would be allowed to roam free, getting free will to do whatever they wanted. Rumor has it, the way to start the machine, and have the monsters be allowed to roam free, would be You would need A child's fear To start the machine, But it would have to be a large amount of fear, a small amount of fear wouldn't do at all.

Luckily, however Those were all just rumors, and besides the building hasn't been inhabited, and or used for years. Not to mention the story about Cyrus Grandfather, and the workers. That was all just rumors as well. Even so it was a very long time ago, so there was no way of telling if anything was true, or just people made up stories just because they were bored. But The thing is, if It was all rumors, Why would Everyone avoid that building, was it fear or perhaps it was something else. Little did the citizens of ninjago City know, They were all about To find out, The answers to those questions.

Deep inside the abandoned building, Three spell casters were making their way through the dangerous, and perious basement, as There were dangerous Weapons, and among other things that if you touched you would most likely get poisoned. As The leader of the three took his sword and slashed through The Vines, That was hanging low to the ground. Someone who had been silent Decided to speak up. The man with the green streak in his hair, Sighed, and blew some hair out of his face, as he watched Zephyr cut through another vine. He waited a few seconds before speaking. "Zephyr? Remind me What we're looking for again?" He asked. There were creepy sounds around them, and it could just be rats but Matias wasn't sure. He sighed, as at first the leader of three didn't answer his question and His companion Ava was just silent as always. He knew She had changed since Zephyr had become their friend, but he knew why she did, it almost seemed like when He was around. She acted like a completely different person, and he missed the ava he used to be friends with. They alway had so much fun together, but since Zephyr She was never the same. He sighed, as he shook his head as he heard Zephyr Chuckle, Because of his inner monologue Matias didn't see Zephyr stop in his tracks and turn to face the two. "Why Matias, We're Looking for the Monster Machine of course!" He said oh so cheerfully, that made Matias have a pit in the bottom of his stomach. Matias, shifted, had obviously heard the rumors of the machine, the ones He heard his father talk about when he was younger. But he knew this was just a myth, a legend, it wasn't real. He knew this, everyone knew this. "Zephyr, The Machine Doesn't really remember" he says as he gives his friend a look. "It was just an old campfire story, We all told each other to give Us a scare". Zephyr just laughed as he shook his head, and raised his hand up towards him. "Oh Come now, Matias. That's what people said about the Oni" he says as he turned around, and started walking away, his back turned away from Him. "And, I'm sure you're aware of how aware, of how real they were".

He walked away, and Ava walked away following behind him, not saying a word, leaving Matias all alone in the creepy basement. He gulped as he then heard or thought he heard laughing, and screams, and it wasn't easy for him to get scared but he got scared. And he ran to catch up, with his friends he sighed, as he felt like he got away, and when he stopped his mouth gasped as he saw he was in a wide open space, there was vines everywhere, and there was some vines, and there was some ruble, and there was abandoned equipment, and other lab stuff that was scattered on the table and on the ground.

He gasped, as he looked around, it was a pretty dark room, and he could barely see, he went over to a table and lifted something up coughing when some dust got into his mouth he groaned, as he looked over the table, there was lab stuff, and other things littering the table but what caught his attention was something he couldn't quite read it, it was almost like it was in a different language, and he knew almost all languages, being a sorcerer he had access to all knowledge, of course he wasn't as powerful as zephyr but even so, he still was able to learn a lot even if he wasn't as powerful. He looked and based on context clues, what he could make out was, it almost seemed like it was instructions for something.

He raised an eyebrow, as he went and grabbed his staff, casting a spell, and his staff Glowing, giving him some reading light. The letters were still hard to make out even if there was now some light, but It seemed like there was still some darkness, based on what he saw, it looked like it was a child, and he could see some wording but he wasn't sure what exactly it said. He sighs, as he just placed the paper back onto the table, as  he walked over to where his friends were, and he saw Zephyr was searching around for something, and he didn't want to disturb him. So he decided to go and explore everything. He heard his shoes clicking below him on the stone floor, and he was getting pretty bored, zephyr somewhat told them why they were here, but He honestly thought zephyr was crazy there was no way, The 'Monster Machine' was real even so, if it was. No one knew what it did,  sure everyone made up rumors, and talked about what it did but he always ignored them. He always thought they were crazy, and he knew a crazy person when he saw one. He hummed a tune, as he soon saw something that caught his eye, it was something shiny. He raises an eyebrow.

As his shoes clinked on the ground, he got to the side of the tall cylinder thing that had been in the middle of the room the entire time. He sighed, as he went over and slid a hand down the side of the old thing until his hand went over something. Something that felt like words on a page that was bolded, and it popped out of the page, so you can trace the letter. "What the?" he muttered as he moved away some vines that were covering the plaque. He turned so he was fully looking at the words that were on the plaque, and although it was dark, and he couldn't see much he managed to read some of the words on the plaque. And has he read it with his eye's widnes. And then he turned to look at his two friends wandering around.

"Guy's you might wanna see this' ' The two turned and looked at him, they were confused on why he just decided to speak much none the nleds they turned and the leader of the three walked up to the man, and then asked what he wanted. Matias sighed as he looked at them. "I Found this thing, and It's something you might wanna look at" Zephyr rolled his eyes. "I'm sure it's nothing and you're just thinking it's a huge deal, when it's not gonna be '' Matais shook his head, and was almost frustrated at Zephyr, but Of course he didn't say anything. "It has something to do with the machine Zephyr! The one the legends spoke of" He explained and he knew that caught zephyr's attention as he saw zephyr's eye's winded. He ran over, and nearly knocked Mataid down in the process, and didn't even care anyways if he did, to him that didn't matter. '"Let me see!Let Me See!" he urged, as pushed matais away and went to look down at the writing below him. Zephyr's hair went into his face as he  looked down, but he didn't care about that, what mattered to him was seeing what was on the Golden plague below.

He laughed, as he saw he was correct, from earlier, he smiled, and Then looked at His friends. "I know we have a lot of minions already But" he paused to turn around and face Ava, a matais who walked behind him so they weren't in his way, but seeing the way Zephyr's face looked they knew they were excited. Ava Rolled her ideas, and crossed her arms, and then asked. "What are you talking about Zephyr?" she asked in her usual tone of voice she used, while with these two. Zephyr smirked, as he gripped his staff, and then laughed. "The legend is true, which means" He started to say when he didn't complete his thought as he figured they knew what he was gonna say. "Which means?" Matais asked as he didn't know what he was getting at. Of course Zephyr was annoyed he didn't get what he was trying to say and he rolled his eyes. "That means Monster minions! Obviously, ''he says, rolling his eyes. Matias gave him a look. "Why monster minions? We have some pretty powerful minions Already, You Know" he says as he tried to reason with zephyr, even if the legends were true he didn't think it was the best idea to have monster minions. The ones they had already were already tough to control, if they were to put monster minions on top of it, He thinks that would not only be harder to control but it could get messy. However it seemed zephyr didn't care, and would not listen as he seemed pretty keen On the idea of adding monster minions, to the minions they already had.''You worry too much, Matais Everything is gonna be fine" he says as he turned back to read the plaque. He needed to figure out what he needed to do, so then he could have monster minions. He was very power hungry it seemed. But then again, with everything he did just to take over the city, and what he did to accomplish his goals was very surprising.

The spell caster went and read over the lines a few times, so he could memorize the information he was reading, and he had a wicked grin on his face, and he seemed to have a plan forming in his mind, and Matias didn't like the look on his face. For everything matais did, and allowed Zephyr to make him do so then they could take over ninjago, but by far the look he was giving Was making him uncomfortable. The Lead spell caster turned around and faced the two, he seemingly had something in his hand. But they couldn't see very well since the lights were not turned on, and the whole place was just in darkness, and if they were normal, they would've been scared but because they were spell casters. They were not afraid, and even if they were. They would never say it, but reluctantly  knowing they couldn't go forward without knowing what they had to do next, matais gave in. He sighed and then asked. "I'm guessing you have a plan for Zephyr?" He asked, knowing the answer.

And sure enough he saw Zephyr's face tHe man had a huge smile on his face, it was a very big and creepy smile, one that sent shivers down Matias' spine but of course he ignored it, for obvious reasons. He sighed as he worked up the courage to ask what his plan was. Zephyr smiled as he stepped away from the machine, his shoes clicking below him, as he walked away, and he went over to where a wall was. And he didn't do anything at first he just stared at the wall, the two figured he was just getting the plan together in his mind. But honestly with how long it was taking, Matias wasn't sure if he was gonna tell them or just tell them at the last moment, and just keep it to himself. And he hoped that wasn't the case as he didn't want to just blindly follow him, he wanted to know what he needed to do. He just didn't want to upset zephyr, so he decided this long ago to just go along with him, and do what  was asked of him, since  he didn't want to lose his oldest friend ava, because of something he accidentally did, and made zephyr mad. It seemed like Zephyr held all the cards here. Matais sighed as zerphy had not backed away from the wall for what seemed like a few minutes here and he wasn't sure if Zephyr was lost in his thoughts or not.

"Zephyr are yo–" he was about to say when suddenly Zephyr whipped around, his hair doing the same as he turned to face the two. He had a big creepy smile on his face, as he looked at the two. "I have a big plan in mind! A big big plan!" He says with a big smirk on his face. Matais sighed as he raised a hand up to ask what the plan was but Zephyr shook his head. As if he read his mind he had a smile on his face. "No, no, no. I can't tell you now" he says as his grin gets wider, as he then walks away to a tabe, grabbing a piece of paper, and a pencil, as he begins to write some things down. "However, for the plan to work, I will Need the both of you to....Grab a few things for me" he says as his words come out slowly and smoothly. Ava, and Matias looked at each other and then looked at Zephyr, who was still hunched down, writing on the piece of paper. "What type of things would you need?" Ava asked as she pushed a strand of her hair away from her face. As the lead spell caster didn't answer the question, and just continued to to write they were left in silence as Zephyr continued writing. It was then Matias felt the coldness of the place, sure the air conditioner didn't work because the place was old and abandoned, but it still felt like it was 100 degrees below freezing, and he couldn't help but shiver as he let out of breath of cold air, as the only sounds that could be heard was The three of their breathing, and the sound of zephyr scribbling down things on the piece of paper. Matias almost wanted to tap his foot in impatience. Sure he was used to this, waiting for him to get along with it and tell them the plan but he didn't want to rush him, and risk his anger so he just decided to stay silent. Soon enough the man smiled, as he dropped the pencil gaining the two's attention, as he smiled, and he had that evil gleam in his eyes. The one that says 'I have a big plan'. Matais stretched and then looked at the man, as he then handed Matais and Ava Two pieces of paper.

Once he handed the two the paper he put his hands behind his back, and then explained: "For this plan to work I Need you both to get a few things" He say as he turned away from them. It seemed like he was trying to make sure between the three of them who had the true power here. "Make sure you get  all the items on your lists By Tonight" The or else hung in the air and they were both aware of it, but of course they both nodded, and As zephyr began to work on doing a few mantinces on the machine to make sure it was ready, Matias ans Ava headed out to get the supplies that was needed, and As Ava was running out of the building she looked down at the list, and when she did what she saw shocked her. On the list on the bottom there was an item that was listed as the most Important and that item was:

A child.
