Fangirling or Zawj?

DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU HAVE NOT READ SL AND ARE INTENDING TO DO SO.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD 💀💀💀

I'M WARNING YOU AGAIN. DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO READ SL.

AND IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO, WHY HAVEN'T YOU READ IT ALREADY?

****

My sister has read SL, don't ask me how and when and where, she just has. She was so very taken by the tale when she first read it that for days together she refused to accept that I--her sister, someone she has known all her life had spun a tale of its calibre all on my own. She just cannot get it into her head, or for the better usage of words, didn't want to get it into her head. She was smitten. Completely. Sometimes her behaviour plainly indicated that she liked my characters more than she liked me. She adored them even.

She hated me when she came across pieces where I torchered my characters; left no stone unturned to let me know what she thought of me. She laughed and smiled with them, enjoyed it when they were happy; dreamed about what they would have liked and what they would have not, what they would have preferred. She enjoyed my novel way too much.

She was a dutiful reader, my sister, passionate about their lives, often commenting on the stuff that they used to do. She was so very devoted to them to such an extent that when she came across a distant relative having a daughter named Mehrin, she hated that little girl with passion only because she thought she was the one who had brought things upon Rida.

Even though my sister and I share a relationship like that of typical Indian siblings, she and I share the love we have towards books and writing. Give us a shelf of books and we would even forget about demanding food. We are book fanatics, the two of us and funnily though, our similarities stop right there. In all other aspects we are poles apart.

I have high cheek bones and her cheeks are not prominent at all. She has a sweet tooth while I prefer savouries. She is picky in everything else other than her snacks and I am not picky in anything else other than my snacks. She hates cooking and I love trying out new dishes. She hates her chores and I would do anything anybody asks me to do in a sweet manner. She has an issue with anger and I have an issue with getting upset and getting hurt. She hates studying with passion while I would readily get lost in subjects that interest me. I believe in the combination of hard work and smart work while she believes in short cuts and my work. Like literally. Until quite recently she had been using my brain to get her things done. She doesn't believing in sacrificing while I'm still learning how not to sacrifice my happiness for the sake of others. She is carefree, I care a lot. She is bold, I lean towards peace. She yearns for freedom, I want for love.

So yep, we are more than poles apart. The only similarity we have is the love for books and writing, so it came as no surprise to me when she came back from her board exam one day claiming that the paper had a lot of twisted questions and one such question she had been able to attend only because she remembered Wasiq speaking about it.

I put it up on my WhatsApp status as a joke, saying that one of my characters had helped my sister in her board exams.

__Miss_Fantasy__ over here who was and is an ardent admirer of Wasiq, always drawing similarities between her husband and the guy texted me after seeing the status.

S : Really 😅

B : Lol yeah.

     Wasiq's dialogues about El Nino.

S : See my Wasiq is always useful.

I just wanted to pull her leg, so I sent the following message.

B : I dare you to tell this to your husband.

S : Lool.

      😂😂😂😂

B : Dont laugh, do it.

     😜

S : Said.

      Waiting for his reply🙈🙈

Now I hadn't been expecting her to actually do it and I was in fact quite surprised to know that she had gone ahead with the dare and sent her husband a message, fangirling over a guy nonetheless.

B : You and your pregnancy harmones!

S :  Loool.

A minute later, a message popped up again and you wouldn't believe it guys but I found that she had actually sent him a screenshot of our conversation. That way, the girl had managed to complete her dare, told her husband about Wasiq and in such a manner that her husband knew what exactly was going on and that the guy was fictional. How smooth! Having done that, she cheekily sent me the screenshot of her conversation with her husband.

B : Oi!

      Mene kaha

      Tell him.

Why did you send a screenshot?

S : 😆😆😆😆

B : This is bad!

S : Well pregnancy hormones and me

     😉😉😉

By then I had started wanting to scare her for fun.

B : Go back to the insta comments where you drooled over Wasiq and send those exact comments to him.

      Type them this time.

S : Nooooo!

B : Yessss!

S  : 😬😬😬😬

B  : You have no choice.

S  : Meri ma I won't mention wasiq again😭😭😭

Loool! She finally freaked out and I let her off the hook. Just for the sake of the baby mind you 😝
