Slowly, I opened my eyes, looking at the white ceiling. I heard some weird beeping noise, and it must've been nearby, because it was continuously making my ears ring.
I attempted to sit up, but a wave of pain had spreaded through my back, and I winced.
"What the hell happened?"
No more than a few seconds later, some people came rushing in and started to hug me, while another person stood there, and she was wearing a white coat and thick round glasses, so I was guessing that she was the doctor.
"(Y/N), how are you feeling, sweetheart? Are you hungry? Do you need anything?"
I didn't know what to say.
No, I was serious. I didn't know what to say to her. I didn't even know her.
"Um, may I ask who you are? And who's...(Y/N)?"
I looked at her confused, then she backed away.
"Oh my god. She...she doesn't remember me. God, she doesn't even remember her own mother." She started to cry onto the taller man's shoulder, and he tried to comfort her by giving her a kiss on the forehead while hugging her tightly.
The doctor walked over to me, and I tensed up, not knowing what she was going to say to me.
"First, I'll start off by saying that your name is (Y/N). Try to remember that. You're at Saint Maria Hospital right now because of some terrible accident, but everything's fine now! The name's Dr. Zoe, but you can call me Hanji, okay?"
I slowly nodded, still not sure why those people were getting so emotional about me. I continued to listen to the doctor as the lady kept crying onto the tall man's shoulder.
"Okay so, I'm going to send you home with you mother and father today, which is those people over there." She pointed to the couple that was standing in the corner of the room.
"Make sure that you come visit me every two weeks so that I can get an update about how you're doing. Also, make sure to bring your parents with you so that you don't get lost."
"Alright, I will." She then gave me a small smile, then walked over to the couple - I mean - my parents that were still crying. I really don't think this situation is to get so emotional over, but I guess they can't help it.
"So, um, when can I get all of this stuff taken off of me?" I held up my arms, and all I saw was IVs. I even saw that they had me hooked up to an oxygen tank as well. Wait. I could remember those names of these two objects, but I couldn't even remember my own parents?
Anyway, it seemed like forever before they all stopped conversating. I was able to change back into some normal clothes besides the ones that the hospital gave me before leaving.
My father took my hand and led me to the car. He told me to get in the back and to put on my seatbelt, and he made sure that I did so. It felt like it was going to suffocate me, but I left it alone.
It was a long awkward drive, and since no one didn't want to speak, I decided to break the silence.
"So, uh, Mom? Dad? Where are we going?"
"We're going back to the house," my dad said as he was looking out the window.
I was kind of nervous, since I did not know what to expect when I arrived at the house, so I kept looking ahead and trying to imagine what life was like at home before this incident, but I couldn't think of anything.
"(Y/N), are you alright?" My Dad asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I looked out the window, admiring the scenery and ignoring my father's question. The sky was a mix of purple, orange, and blue, which blended together so perfectly.
Suddenly, the car stopped.
"Huh? Why aren't we moving?"
"Because we just arrived at the house? Why else would we stop?" My father turned around to look at me, and I coldly stared at him.
"Oh, I don't know. A stop sign? A stop light?" My mom laughed while my dad shook his head before getting out the car.
I looked out the window again to see a big white house in front of us.
My father was trying to help me out the car, and I let him, even though I was capable of getting myself out, but I guess he was trying to be generous.
After we got inside, they led me up to my room. I didn't know what to expect to be in there. But it was clean, so I was thankful for that.
"Here's your room, sweetheart," my mom said. I took a look around, and I could see that I loved taking pictures of every moment, because there were photos hanging on the walls, in picture frames, and even there was a big photo of me kissing someone's cheek.
"Oh, (Y/N), we didn't mean for you to see that one." I looked at my father curiously, wondering why he was taking down that photo. "Um, may I ask who that was?" My parents exchanged looks, then both of their eyes looked at mine. "You don't need to worry about who that was, sweetie. Just let us handle it."
I nodded my head, still wondering why they had to take that photo down. It was actually cute. And I looked adorable in that. I pouted as they left out the room, then I sat down on my king sized bed.
"Today has been a long day, even though I spent most of it in the hospital." I whispered those words to myself as I stared at some photos of me hugging a group of people. A few of them were torn as if someone were trying to erase another person from their memory. And there were words - wait- notes written on some of them. On the first one, it said:
I'm glad that we were able to hang out at my house all this summer! (Y/N), I'm very happy that I was able to meet someone like you. You were the sister I never had. I'm also thankful of the times that you were able to take care of Eren and Armin when I could not. I'll miss you! And don't forget to text me at this number.

Okay, so apparently, I had a best friend named Mikasa, and I stayed at her house most of the summer. But who are Armin and Eren? Her pets?
"Ow!"
I received another headache after reading that small note. I continued to read the notes that were left on the phtots. The second one was from a person named Armin, but I couldn't tell if they were male or female. Okay, so scratch the idea of him being a dog then.
(Y/N), I should thank you for all of the times that you've stuck up for me. I dont know what I would've done if you weren't there. It was also pretty exciting when we went to Six Flags, but we had to leave early because Eren didn't get his stupid funnel cake. Next time, you're watching over him. Oh yeah, I almost forgot!

I started to laugh a bit until I received another headache. "Memories are fucking painful." At least now I know that when ever I gain a memory, I'll receive pain. This is going to be great.
I picked up the last photo of me & another person, which I guess was supposed to be Eren. And there was an envelope attached to it. I separated the two and opened the envelope to see more pictures inside of it. I smiled, seeing that we were doing silly poses and faces. I checked the envelope once again for a note, but there wasn't one in there. Maybe he just forgot to give me one?
As I sat there looking at the photos, I heard a knock on my door. I quickly looked up to see my mom.
"Come downstairs, someone's waiting for you."
Excuse me, what.
I sighed, then I got up slowly from my bed, walking downstairs with my mom, holding the pictures in my hand.
I got downstairs to our living room, and I saw some guy with dark brown hair sitting on the couch, looking at the few pictures that were left on the wall.
"(Y/N), go say hello."
I gave her a confused look, but I slowly walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. He looked up at me and gave me a bright smile, along with a hug. I quickly pushed him away, not wanting for him to touch me.
"Oh, s-sorry (Y/N). I guess I should've said something before hugging you randomly like that. Anyway, it's me, Eren." He stood up and look into my eyes, as if he was searching for something.
I looked back into his eyes, and I smiled with a few tears falling down my face.
"It's been a while, huh?"
Eren nodded his head while tears slid down his face as well.
"A long while, actually." He pulled me in for another hug, and I returned it this time.
We stood like that for a while, but we eventually stepped away from each other.
"Okay, so, if the both of you are done with that, I got business to take care of." My mother ran her slender fingers through her hair, pushing back her bangs from her eyes as she started to walk away.
"Wait!" I called out to her, and she stopped. "Where's Dad?"
It was a long moment of silence before she spoke. "He left a while ago, (Y/N)." She started to walk off again, but I grabbed her wrist. "Can you at least tell me where he went, please?" She instantly shook her head, as if she was hiding something.
"Don't worry about him, (Y/N). Just go back to your friend."
I let go of her wrist after that, and my mom walked towards the kitchen.
I walked back into the living room and sat down on the couch, sighing.
"It seems like she's hiding something from me, but I just don't know what."
Eren sat down next to me, his hands clasped together in front of him. "You should just forget about it, (Y/N). It would be best for you to focus on something else other than your father."
"Wait, have you met my Dad before?"
He tensed up a bit before responding.
"Uh, yeah, I've met him. Let's just say, that meeting wasn't so pleasant."
"Tell me what happened."
"Uh, I don't think you need to hear about that right now."
Really?
First my mom, and now Eren too?
What's with being secretive all of a sudden?
"Yeah, whatever." I turned to see that Eren was looking at the pictures that I was holding of him and our other friends. "Oh, Eren. Do you know what happened to the rest of this picture?"
I showed him the one of him, Armin, Mikasa and I, but it seems like it was another person there.
"Oh, I remember this picture! All of us were at the carnival that day, and I had won Mikasa a panda bear and Armin a penguin." He took the photo out of my hands to inspect it some more.
"(Y/N), this is going to be hard to explain. Are you sure you're ready for this?"
I stared directly into his eyes, letting him know that I was prepared for what he was about to give me.
"I don't need any more secrets, Eren. Tell me what you know. I've got the time."
