Head Boy and Girl- JILY

"Don't think this changes anything, Potter." Lily said as a boy with unruly hair stood beside her.
"Why would it change anything?" Questioned James, "We're only Heads. Turn right, not left." Lily scowled at the boy, but mostly due to embarrassment. She followed James to the right and was greeted with a beautiful, dark skinned lady with vibrant, almost blinding fruits placed on her head as a crown and all the others scattered around all over the portrait. Deep purple silks draped her body while she sat on a throne. Not a single in picture in Hogwarts looked as stunning as this one.
"Oh wow," Sighed Lily dreamily, "she looks amazing."
"But not as amazing as you." James said, still staring at the portrait. This wasn't the regular pick up lines, normally he would say them while smirking, but this one was different. Lily was surprised by the realness in his voice but she couldn't let him see anything pink on her cheeks.
"What do you want for the password?" James asked Lily, turning to her. In all honesty, Lily was a bit skeptical about this new, kinder Potter. Was this just to lead her on? Make her like him? But Lily couldn't really imagine it fully. Either he was really good at acting or he was being serious.
"Oh, um, Peppermint Toads. They're my favourite." Lily decided amd James grinned.
"Peppermint Toads it is. We'd like Peppermint Toads if you don't mind." James confirmed to the lady in the portrait.
"If you are in the new common room and someone wants access, you will hear me ask for permission from you Heads." She informed them with a slight Jamaican accent shadowed behind.
"Right, thanks. Peppermint Toads." The portrait swung open revealing the most warm and welcoming common room in all of existance. Many bookcases were placed all around the room, (book galore, thought Lily) a huge window was on one of the walls, making it easy for the two to look out every morning at the Black Lake. Chess tables were put at either side of the room, a good game of chess could break any argument, as James would say. Crimson red sofas and loveseats sat in front of the roaring fire, breathing in the wonderful, smoky smell.
"Look at the ceiling!" Exclaimed Lily excitedly. Up above, it was the exact replica of the Great Hall's ceiling. This would be convenient for James as he could just take a trip down to the common room and check the weather for Quidditch. They both spotted two oak doors and turned to explore their rooms. The doors beared the words in peeling gold: Head Boy and the other, Head Girl. When Lily entered her room, it was similar to her other common room, just a lot more jazzed up; it was still the same colours (she assumed it changed according to your house) but instead of a double bed, a huge Queen sized bed (that was still a four poster) stood proudly. Varnished honey wood chests were placed either side of the bed and Lily twirled around, taking in everything around her. James had the same room but instead of his chests being honey, they were a deep rich oak. After climbing down the stairs to go back to the common room, Lily saw James sitting at a chess table.
"Wanna play chess?" He asked hopefully and Lily just had to give in. Little did she know, that was the start of everything perfect.
