Broken Love Song- JILY
Nothing ever goes right for her, things can be like handling smashed glass, but James would see the dripping red appear on himself if it helped her. She was his everything and she was her nothing. Fake smiles to hide her hurt, fake laughter to disguise her cries, fake her to keep everyone ignoring how different she was.

"Your not ok!" James yelled as he (quite gently) grabbed Lily's shoulders. Watching her suffer and crumble was unbearable for the past few weeks. Quiet all the time, Lily was hiding away from everyone, barely uttering a word to anyone and never drawing attention to herself. James suggested it was because of her break up with Aston Bleer, a horrible, two faced guy. James hated him, not only because he went out with Lily, but because he was always pushing girls up against walls and just being an all round stupid guy. He had tried to tell Lily this, but she looked at him and said he'd changed, just like him. But he hadn't, and after 3 long months, she finally realised that.
"I'm perfectly fine, thank you very much." Lily said, tearing herself away from his grip. Her eyes were bloodshot and her wrists had dark, black and blue bruises painted around them. Marlene McKinnon, Lily's best friend, stared at her from the other end of the corridor, Lily just wasn't the same anymore, and it was starting to kill everyone around her.
"I haven't seen you eat in ages, and if it's because of him," James jabbed his finger at her old Ravenclaw boyfriend, "then you need to tell somebody." James' voice softened towards the end, he'd been too rough.
"Why does it even matter to you?" Lily snapped, she should've knownthat nothing would go to plan. For Merlin's sake, she was Lily Evans, why would something go to plan?
"I just- I just want you to be happy." James whispered, Lily gazed back at him, not a single trace of pity lingering upon her face. Really though, on the inside, she was sorry and sad and every bad emotion you can feel all at once.
"Then you'd leave me alone." Lily replied coldly. The world fell apart before the two, it was them alone, standing in a plain, white room, everything going wrong. She turned on her heel and walked away, leaving the existing people in the corridor silenced, and leaving James disappointed in himself.

"What did you do to her?" James growled, grabbing Aston by the collar and shaking him furiously. For the past few days, James had been trying to wheedle any sort if information of why Lily was the way she was from anyone.
"What do you think, I'm-So-Fabulous Potter?! Hmm?" Aston glared back, trying to pry the fingers off his collar, only leading to James tightening his grip. Doing this, sonething collided in his head. Something that horribly made sense. What was his favourite thing to do to girls?
"Oh, you did not." James saw the smirk on Aston's face then shoved him to a wall then cast a language charm on him that made him speak chicken for a week. There was no counter spell for this, so Aston should really have been happy that it was the Easter holidays and there was no classes.

Her knees brushed against her chin while she sat staring blankly at the roaring orange and yellow flames of the fire, even though the sun was shining like anything outside. A messy haired Potter burst in to the room, but she barely took any notice until she felt strong arms embrace her tightly.
"I'm sorry." James muttered in to her shoulder. Lily knew there was no point being sour now, she fell gratefully in to his arms. For weeks she had been pretending eerything was so fine and jolly, nothing was wrong at all! She hasn't just nearly been raped by her boyfriend! No, not at all! She covered everything up well. Just not well enough.
"Please tell me he didn't do it?" James whispered quietly, it was only them in the Heads' common room, so they didn't have to be worried about anyone just prancing their way in.
"The 60th no was the only effective one. I kicked him when I said that." Lily sniffled, James held her even more tightly. Stuck together, the two unbeknownst soulmates didn't move for hours.
i'm thinking about ending this, because i really want to start a wolfstar au. the two will be on a road trip and there may be some hard themes. i might delete it if i'm not feeling it and carry on with this one, or if you guys still want me to carry on with this, maybe i can find a way to juggle two. i've seen other authors do that and they handle it just fine, so i'll just have to get used to it lol. btw, don't ask about the chapter name, idek.
see you next millenium
