A Sundress Mess- JILY
"Come on, Slowcoach!" Lily teased as she ran about the Potters' garden, barefooted and only in a knee length sundress. It was the summer after they had graduated and things were going smoothly. She and James had managed a successful relationship, James had managed another successful relationship with his boyfriends and Remus and Sirius had FINALLY got their lives together and started going out.
"Slowcoach, eh?" James yelled as he pushed her on to the soft grass. This grass felt enchanted (which it probably was) as it was so green and never felt wet or unpleasant. James had both if his knees at either side of her hips and he was practically sitting in top of her. She didn't find this weird anymore as it had happened more than once. Not like that! They were just both clumsy as hell.
"I swear James, I can see your parents in one of those windows really high up and I bet you Remus and Black are looking through a window of some forbidden room, if you get my drift." Lily pointed out, still smiling. James had caught her hands above her head and she knew exactly how to flip the position.
"Mum and dad really won't mind as long as I don't shag-"
"You're not shagging me." Lily flatly declared.
"I know, not yet, but mum and dad won't mind if you have full consent of what I'm doing, which I'm assuming you do or else you would've slapped me. And Sirius and Remus, they better not be spying, but if they are, we're not going back to Hoggy so it's fine."
"Bet they'll still find a way to inform McGonagall. Through The Order, or he's going to send a Howler to Dumbledore." Lily grumbled.

"Look at James! Fleamont, look! No, he's not kissing her, so you can look." Euphemia hissed at her husband. James' parents were probably the most chill people you could think of. They only slightly minded when James they found out that James drank, they just told him not to come home sodden drunk and don't go off with strange girls. James nearly all the time broke the first rule and James' parents thought it would serve him right when he woke up with a killing hangover. James also gained his mischievous streak from his father who would always sneak James a wink when his mother warned him about pranking before they went back to school.
"See, told you James would get her in the end." Fleamont pointed out in a whisper. Why they were whispering? No idea since no one else was in the room.
"She just seemed like a sensible girl and from what Jamesie was saying, she seemed to detest him." Euphemia admitted, tilting her head slightly. James babbled on and on about this girl and Euphemia was the happiest she had been in a long time. Seeing her boy with the person he lived was the thing she wished for most. She knew she was going to die soon. It was only fair that she did. It was easy to sense and whenever she thought about it, she thought about where James would go. She knew he would be strong and think about his friends, he always did. A new place would probably be on his list and such but he wouldn't forget them. She hoped at least.

Lily seized the opportunity to flip positions as soon as she could, James obviously didn't like it.
"You make it really easy so don't give me that look! You were about to squash me." Lily folded her arms after she prodded James with her wand.
"I still win the game of chase then." James muttered, pretending to be angry. Lily thought he looked rather like a child to be honest. His hair was more messy than usual and his t shirt was starting to stick to his body.
"Fine. Now, it's boiling out here. Come on inside." Lily stood up and smoothed out her flower print dress. She spotted her sun hat also sitting on the ground and she put it on her head.
"You just want to get the questions over and done with, don't you?" James smirked at the girl who blushed a dainty pink.
"Oh, just because your Mr I-Hope-My-Parents-Won't-Ask-Any-Awkward-Questions, doesn't mean your 100% correct. And I know Remus and Sirius are watching, I can sense them!" Lily snapped at a laughing James.
"Alright, keep your hair on." James sighed, standing.
*********
"Hello, you two. Did you have fun?" James' mother asked, drying a bowl the Muggle way. James' dad winked at him and James smirked back.
"Oh, very. I think the flowers you have in your garden are heavenly." Lily complimented Euphemia. Euphemia beamed at Lily, making her feel accomplished.
"You have a good 'un here, James. Nobody ever compliments my flowers seeing as you two men are always ignoring them." Euphemia said it sweetly enough but everyone knew she was trying to make the two boys in the room feel bad.
"I know I've found a good girlfriend, but there's no need to make me and dad feel bad about ourselves just because we didn't notice your flowers." James put a hand to his chest, signifying mock offence.
"I think it's good one of us is putting your head on straight." Lily admitted while jutting out her chin and Euphemia chuckled merrily.

"You were pretty close outside, I believe. And Lily, how dare you assume that you could sense us if we, yes, me and Moony, were there?" Lily rolled her eyes while she sat in James' room with the the three boys as Sirius Black had just given himself away.
