Chapter 10

As the group made their way out of the terminal, Jungkook subtly took the lead, pulling his mask up higher to avoid drawing attention. Taehyung had already mentioned the restaurant Jungkook had booked, a high-end place tucked away in the quieter side of the city, ensuring privacy. However, as soon as the plan was mentioned, Saga visibly hesitated.

“I don’t think I can join,” Saga said softly, though her voice carried enough firmness to catch everyone’s attention. Vianna looked at her best friend with confusion. “Why not? It’s been ages since we’ve all been together! And today Tae and Jungkook are also there” she exclaimed, clearly hoping to convince Saga. She bit her lip, glancing awkwardly at Jimin, who was now watching her curiously. “It’s just… that kind of place is way too expensive for me. I don’t think I can…” Her voice trailed off, and she shifted uncomfortably.

The room fell silent for a moment as her words sunk in. Jimin, as always, was the first to jump in. “Come on, princess,” he said softly, nudging her shoulder. “Don’t worry about that. This isn’t about the bill; it’s about spending time together. And you know Tae and Vianna won’t let you chip in, right? See princess they came so far from stay here with us na...cant we do this much...please princess...” Vianna nodded enthusiastically. “Saga, please....please....This is such a special occasion, we are meeting after so long and honestly, Jungkook booked it for us. You don’t need to worry!”

Saga, however, still looked hesitant. She glanced down at her hands, avoiding everyone’s gaze. “I appreciate it, but I don’t feel comfortable…” Taehyung, who had been quietly observing, also spoke up, his tone playful yet sincere. “Saga, you’re my girlfriend’s best friend. That makes you family. And you are way like my sister which I always wanna. Do you really think I’d let you pay a single penny?” His bright smile seemed to lighten the mood slightly, but Saga’s expression didn’t change much."But if my presence if making you feel uncomfortable then..." Taehyung just looked at Vianna and Saga, but was cut off by Saga who become anxious,"No no...Taehyung never...its just..."

At that moment, Jungkook, who had been silent throughout the conversation, stepped closer. His quiet presence seemed to command attention, and when he spoke, his voice was low and gentle. “Saga…” He paused, making sure she was looking at him. She looked at him and then he spoke, “It’s not about the money or the place. It’s about celebrating moments with people who matter the most. And tonight, that includes you.”His words were simple, but the way he said them carried an unexpected warmth that caught everyone off guard—especially Saga. Her eyes locked with his, and for a fleeting moment, she saw something genuine and tender in his gaze. The firmness in her stance seemed to waver as her cheeks flushed lightly.

Vianna, standing beside her, didn’t miss the way Saga’s expression softened. Leaning closer to Taehyung, she whispered, “I think someone’s got a little influence over your buddy.” Taehyung smirked knowingly, whispering back, “It’s mutual. Just watch.”

Jimin, on the other hand, furrowed his brows. “Wait, hold on. Why is she agreeing to him?” he mumbled under his breath, crossing his arms. “I couldn’t convince her, Taehyung even Vianna cant but he says one thing, and suddenly, she’s melting? Why?” Saga, oblivious to Jimin’s confusion, finally sighed and nodded. “Alright,” she said softly, looking back at Jungkook. “I’ll come.” Jungkook’s eyes crinkled slightly, indicating the smile hidden behind his mask. “Good,” he said simply, stepping back to allow the group to continue moving. Vianna couldn’t resist teasing Saga as they walked. “You know, I’ve never seen you change your mind so quickly. So much into him..huh? Did he knew your side of feelings?” she whispered, a mischievous grin on her face. “Vianna!” Saga whispered back, her cheeks burning. “It’s nothing....means...I mean...he just… he made a good point, that’s all.” “Uh-huh,” Vianna replied, clearly unconvinced but dropping the subject for now.

Jimin, meanwhile, walked beside Taehyung, still muttering. “I don’t get it. I’ve known her forever, and she never listens to me like that.” Taehyung laughed, throwing an arm around Jimin’s shoulder. “ Oh my bro, that’s because you’re like her overprotective friend. Jungkook, on the other hand…” He trailed off, smirking as Jimin glared at him.

As they arrived at the restaurant, the atmosphere shifted. The private dining room was beautifully arranged, with dim lighting and an intimate ambiance that immediately put everyone at ease. Jungkook had gone out of his way to ensure everything was perfect, and the effort didn’t go unnoticed.

Saga, still feeling slightly out of place, couldn’t help but admire the setting. She sat beside Vianna, who leaned over and whispered, “See? It’s not so bad, right?” Saga nodded, offering a small smile.

The table was lively with chatter and laughter as the group dined. The ambiance was intimate, and the comfort of having close friends around allowed everyone to let their guards down—everyone except Jimin, whose sharp gaze flicked between Jungkook and Saga more times than he cared to admit.

Taehyung raised his glass with a grin, proposing a light-hearted toast. “To reunions, good food, and this crazy bunch of people who make life so much more interesting!” Everyone laughed and raised their glasses, except Jungkook, who glanced at Saga. “And to Sparkle,” he said softly, his tone laced with affection. Saga, who had just taken a sip of water, froze mid-drink. She coughed slightly, her cheeks flushing. “W-What?” she stammered, looking at him wide-eyed. She very well knew he called her Sparkle. Jungkook leaned back in his chair, the corner of his lips lifting into a sly smile. “Just a toast to the one who knows how to yells best,” he teased, his eyes twinkling.

Vianna stifled a laugh while Jimin’s jaw tightened. “Sparkle? What kind of nickname is that?” Jimin asked, his tone sharper than he intended. Jungkook’s gaze slid to Jimin, the smirk never leaving his face. “It’s… personal,” he said simply, his attention returning to Saga, who was now fidgeting with her napkin.

“Alright, alright,” Taehyung interjected, sensing the tension. “Let’s talk about something else before Jimin bro explodes.” This earned a chuckle from Vianna, who added, “Yeah, let’s keep the peace, boys.” The conversation shifted to lighter topics—memories, work, and Taehyung’s tantrums that Vianna often had to handle ans Vianna's tantrums that most all time he handles.

But somehow, Jungkook always managed to steer the discussion back toward Saga, as she is always his centre. “So, Saga,” Jungkook began, resting his chin on his hand as he looked at her intently. “What do you do for fun? Besides yelling at strangers in airports, of course.” Saga’s fork clattered against her plate as she looked at him, flustered. “I-I don’t yell at strangers. That was a misunderstanding!” she protested, but her cheeks heating. Taehyung chuckled. “Come on, Saga, own it. You were pretty intimidating back there.” Vianna grinned and chimed in, “Honestly, I was impressed. You had him cornered! Thats my girl. Jimin is giving you good training, I must say.” Saga groaned, burying her face in her hands. “Can we please not talk about this? ugghhh....” she mumbled, her voice muffled. Jungkook was loving way too much her this flustered side. Jungkook, however, seemed thoroughly amused. “Why not? It was the highlight of my day,” he said, his voice softening. “Not every day someone calls me a ‘rich brat.’”

The table burst into laughter, but Saga couldn’t bring herself to meet his gaze. Jimin, noticing this, frowned. “Alright, Jungkook, lay off her. She’s not used to your teasing, ok...” he said, his protective tone evident. Jungkook leaned back, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. I’ll behave,” he said, though his gaze lingered on Saga for a moment longer.

As the conversation continued, Taehyung and Vianna whispered quietly to each other. “Tae,” Vianna began, her voice low. “Don’t you see what’s happening here?” Taehyung furrowed his brows, glancing between Jungkook and Saga. “Yeah, but… I’m confused. Jungkook told me he already has someone he calls his Sparkle. So who is she? Is Saga his Sparkle?” Vianna rolled her eyes “You know you first need to come to me" Taehyung in a sensual way but in whispered near her ear,"Via...we are in the middle of something na..dont start your naughty talks...ill be turned on..." Vianna slapped his thigh in playfully manner under the table,"Uff..always in mood...I was saying, yes she is! Saga told me everything about her incidents with Jungkook. And the nickname? she didnt tell me about it but... It’s definitely her.” Taehyung’s eyes widened as realization dawned. “Wait… you’re saying Jungkook’s been head over heels for Saga this whole time?” Vianna nodded knowingly. “Yep. And Saga? She was from the very first only fell for him. Look at her. She can’t even keep her composure when he’s talking to her. She has so affect of him on her.” Taehyung smirked, leaning back in his chair. “This is going to be fun to watch.”

Meanwhile, at the table, Jungkook asked another question, this time about Saga’s favorite music. When she hesitated to answer, he leaned forward slightly, his tone soft. “Come on, Sparkle. You don’t have to overthink it. Just tell me.” Saga blinked at him, her heart skipping a beat at the way he said her nickname. “I… uh… I like your and indie music,” she finally said. “Mine, huh?” Jungkook said, nodding approvingly. “Good choice. I’ll make you a playlist sometime.” Saga stared at him, surprised. “You’d… do that? But how because I already had one. You can make me ones of Indie music.” “Of course,” Jungkook replied, his gaze unwavering. “Anything for my Sparkle.”

Jimin, who had been silently fuming, finally snapped. “Alright, what’s with this Sparkle thing? Why are you calling her that?” Jungkook smirked, leaning back. “Like I said, it’s personal.” Jimin crossed his arms, glaring at him. “Well, I think it’s weird.” “Jimin,” Vianna cut in, her tone playful but firm. “Relax. It’s just a nickname. You also call her Princess na.” But Jimin wasn’t convinced. As the night went on, his jealousy simmered beneath the surface, while Taehyung and Vianna exchanged amused glances.

Throughout the evening, the group laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed each other’s company. Yet, Jungkook’s eyes never drifted from Saga, his admiration for her growing with each passing moment. She was strong-willed, selfless, and surprisingly quick-witted when she joined the conversation.

Vianna, ever the observant one, nudged Taehyung subtly. “Tae,” she whispered. “Look at him. He’s completely smitten.” Taehyung chuckled. “I know. I’ve never seen him like this before.”

As the night went on, Saga began to feel more comfortable, her laughter ringing out alongside the others’. And though she tried not to notice, she couldn’t shake the feeling of Jungkook’s gaze on her, warm and unwavering as always he was his weakness yet strength.

By the end of the dinner, it was clearly known to Taehyung and Vianna—that something special was brewing between Saga and Jungkook, that both were head over heels for each other. But on other hand Jimin’s confusion and jealousy lingered, Taehyung and Vianna couldn’t help but admire the budding connection between their friends.

As the group began to leave the restaurant, Jimin lingered behind, his hands stuffed into his pockets, his gaze distant. He watched as Jungkook subtly held the door open for Saga, their quiet smiles carrying an unspoken understanding. His jaw tightened, a mix of frustration and something he couldn’t quite name bubbling within him. “This isn’t over, Jungkook, giving nickname doesnt means you are close to her. She is close to me...Mine princess. ” he muttered under his breath, his mind already racing with thoughts he couldn’t ignore.
