Unknown Puzzle 2

He was so enchanting as he sauntered into the club. He literally took her breath away when he started to talk to her in such a sultry manner...his voice almost sounding enticing and erotic in every bad way that she loves.

They bought each other drinks to keep it fair. The woman fell for that. If only she knew that the man spiked her drink behind her back.

But no. She did not mind any of that. It was a Saturday night. She just broke up with her boyfriend and is in search of another man to help her get off. And now this tall, muscular, and sexy man comes to sweep her off her feet. She has never thanked the heavens for anything else other than that moment.

When they started to dance...the gates of the heavens must have closed. The way they moved with each other was a sin itself, pressing and grinding their bodies (especially their hips) together. His body gave her the same sensation of taking ecstacy. She was losing sense of everything

It's no surprise that they ended up in the man's car, and when he started to lock all the doors of the car and dim the lights.

Yet it became a surprise for her when he started to wrap her wrists together tightly.

"W-What are you doing, baby?" She pants, her chest heaving up and down displaying a show akin to the man's wants and liking.

The man simply smirks and moves his hands down to her legs clothed with tights. "Your lips baby, they are just so enchanting."

With one click of a button on the console, an all too familiar song starts to play.

Close your eyes, make a wish
And blow out the candlelight

The woman was starting to feel light, her eyesight feeling all hazy. The song was even making things all loose. She did not even care when the man started to pull down her tights and take them off her legs.

She lets out a moan in need, even spreading her legs a bit to tease him. She closes her eyes once she hears him hum and sing softly to the chorus.

I'll make love to you
Like you want me to
And I'll hold you tight
Baby, all through the night
I'll make love to you

"You have a lovely voice," the woman breathes out, running her hands up and down the muscular arms of her lover for the night. She can forget all about her recent break-up if this guy can bring her to heaven tonight.

Yet, reality hits her like a punch in the gut or a choke of the throat.

And that is what started happening to her in an instant.

She feel the soft cloth of her tights wrapped around her neck. Her hands fly to her neck to pry them off but the man continues to pull on both ends harder, making the knot around her neck tighter.

She can't breathe, not even cough to inhale even a small bit of air. She tried to kick the man away but his legs kept hers firmly beneath his. The music in the car kept on repeating the same song for the nth time

Baby, tonight is your night
And I will do you right
Just make a wish on your night...

Her grip was getting weaker by the moment, her head has been spinning ever since they got in the car and now the pulsating and unbearable pain is making her woozy.

She expected a one night stand...not her death.

She can't fight back anymore. No more. She's tired, and she has accepted defeat.  Just before she tries once more to take one final breath, she hears him whisper, "You know, there is something about you. You're not married...and I love that, a lot."

"Will it be your first time to witness a crime scene?"

"No," Seungwan softly answers, walking beside Lieutenant Min as they head closer to the scene of the crime, or rather what is left of the body of the victim.

Yoongi picked her up early in the morning when the precinct got the call to investigate on this new case of murder. And the other detectives wanted to make sure that Seungwan would tag along.

"I was also called to other crime scenes before," she continues, "but this one, made by a likely serial killer, is my first."

"Then tell me when you feel uncomfortable. I can take you away if needed."

She scoffs and throws an incredulous look at the man beside her. "Yooni, you think too little of me."

Once they arrive at the tent put up for the forensics team to prepare their equipment needed to track how the crime occurred, both are met with the other detectives, officer, and the captain.

Detective Park is the first to notice their presence as he greets them, "Hey, it's about time you both arrived."

"Sorry," Seungwan immediately apologizes as Yoongi goes ahead with greeting the others by shaking their hands, "Lieutenant Min had to fetch me. I hope you won't punish him for doing that."

Yoongi glances in surprise at his partner for just a second then looks back at his team of men. He's surprised that the brat kept her word that she'll never say her nickname for him in front of others. I guess she can be noble as well.

"You're not that late," Captain Namjoon utters sternly, calling the attention of everyone in the tent. "I'm glad that Professor Son is with us. Someone can play as devil's advocate if needed."

Officer Jeon moves to the side to grab a corkboard with different pieces of paper and pictures pinned on it. He makes it stand on an empty table for everyone to see it clearly.

"Our victim was found by a street cleaner early this morning right here, near the swamp," Detective Kim starts and points at a bird's eye-view picture of the location where they are all standing in. "She was found with melted candles surrounding her body as she was laid on a white fleece blanket, whole body still intact except for her left ring finger."

"A bit of a meticulously planned presentation, if I may add," Detective Jung mutters under his breath.

Lieutenant Min brings out his murder book and opens it to a blank page to write down notes. "And what about the candles?" He asks, "Were they the kinds for long use or were they the thin ones that could only last for an hour?"

"We can't tell that much yet," Detective Kim answers, "but judging from the amount of melted wax, forensics say that those candles have been lit for three to four hours."

"So, it could be like a vigil for someone dead," Seungwan chimes in, her eyes focused on the board in front of them with the current information.

"We thought of that, but then..." Officer Jeon trails off when he brings out a clear zipped bag with a letter inside that Yoongi has grown used to.

With wide eyes, Yoongi could only utter in disbelief, "No, it can't be."

Seungwan carefully grabs it and reads the newspaper clippings that have formed words on it.

"I'll make love to you, like you want me to. And I'll hold you tight." She scrunches her eyebrows together, thinking very hard as to where she heard that song. It hits her when she remembers a song playlist of hers featuring love songs from the 90's. "I'll Make Love To You by Boyz II Men," she says and looks at Lieutenant Min before turning the letter around to see one more word formed out of newspaper clippings. "Lips," she reads it out loud.

"It's the same killer from before," Lieutenant Min declares through gritted teeth.

"We can't just claim that," Captain Namjoon interjects, "We are dealing with different kinds of modus operandi."

Detective Jung crosses his arms and cocks his head to the side. "But why would that killer not stick with one way of killing the victims?"

Yoongi watches Seungwan stare mindlessly at one part of the tent and he starts to get worried, thinking that the woman has lost her mind already. What he does not know is that she's been pondering over the lyrics of the different songs used in those letters left by the killer.

Kwok Min-hee's body being separated into different parts in line with the song 'Vulnerable' by Roxette. The new victim's body that is like laying on a white bed with the Boyz II Men song to accompany it. It's like as if the killer...

"...bases them on the songs," she murmurs. Her eyes widen with another realization that the songs were both from the 90's. Is that a significant piece of information? Seugwan was not sure, but she knows that it could be important especially when tracing the person behind all these deaths.

"Wen?" Yoongi's voice breaks her line of thought, bringing her back to reality. She blinks and faces the Lieutenant in an instant. "Tell me. What's going on?"

"...I also believe it's the same killer," she whispers yet the men heard her, making all of them look at her in curiosity.

"And why would you think that way?" Captain Namjoon questions her.

She replies, "In all the cases, never did the killer repeat his way of murder but we see the consistency with the lyrics, the body part, and the missing finger. Gentlemen, it's the lyrics of the songs that dictate how the killer should fix the scene of the crime."

Officer Jeon starts, "Should we be studying the lyrics then?"

"Not just those, I think we should check what the local radio stations have been playing."

"And what's the connection with that?" Detective Kim asks, adding to the list of questions.

Lieutenant Min immediately answers, realizing what his partner is getting on with, "Because we need to trace the stations that have been playing those songs."

Captain Namjoon rests his hands on the table in front of him, leaning forward. "And if there really is a connection with those songs and particular radio stations, what are you trying to suggest here, Professor?"

Seungwan falls silent even with the wary stares of the men on her. She does not want to say why, but Yoongi has a big feeling as to what her idea is.

And to be frank, Yoongi hates it when this happens...because he knows that she's got this crazy and dangerous idea running in her head again.
