I'm the morning, I wake with Louis next to me. I rub the sleep from my eyes, gently get out of bed trying not to wake Louis, and slip out through the door. As I walk down the hall, it gradually gets noisier and noisier as I come closer and closer to the kitchen.
Everyone is already awake and in the kitchen besides Louis, who is still asleep in the bed. I receive a glance from Freddy which is followed by
     "So how was last night, lovebirds?"  
     He's smirking and all I really want to do at that moment is punch him. But before I pull my fist back and most likely break his nose, I feel a warm hand on my shoulder. I turn and find none other than Louis there, with a look that says you'll-regret-this-later-if-you-it.
He leans down and kisses me, making me completely forget about Freddy's taunting. After a few moments, a few throat clearings can be heard and glares from mostly everyone. Except Kora. She just sighs and drifts off into a daydream.
     We have all known that Kora has liked Freddy since 8th grade, but it was a little complicated since Maria had also liked him since 8th. Not to mention all the other girls who did too... Freddy was popular but in a sense that wasn't the 'I'm rich so treat me special' way.
     He was popular because he was pretty smart, had a crazy but hilarious sense of humor, and got along with most people. Except people who didn't like his friends. Once this one girl had a pretty obvious crush on him but then she told him that she didn't like Russ at all, so that was pretty short lasting.
Anyways, I break the kiss 5 seconds later, smack Freddy in the face, grab a donut, grab Louis's hand, and run to Louis and I's room but not before closing and locking the door after is. We hear an angry Freddy banging on the door and a few threatening shouts in my direction, although I have no idea how he knows where I'm standing... Oh well.
     "Looks like we're going to be in here for a while..." I say with a sigh.
     "Well at least we have some time to ourselves. What do you want to do?" he says looking around.
Our room is plain, steel walls, tile floors, a bed and 2 dressers. That's it. So there was basically nothing to do.
"I have no idea, what about you?" I reply.
     "Whatever you want to do, I guess..." he says.
     I fall backwards onto the bed, thinking Did he seriously not just hear me say I have no idea?!. I roll into the middle and curl up into a ball. Then a thought hits me.
"Tell me a story!" I say, uncurling myself and sitting straight up.
     "Hmm, well I guess I could, hold on let me think of one for a minute..." he responds.
     I scoot towards him as he sits down on the bed. He puts his arm around my shoulder, still thinking, and pulls me even closer.
"Ok. Once upon a time, there was a girl named... Winter! Yes, Winter. And Winter had a very handsome, smart, strong, and brave boyfriend named... Hmm this is a tough one... Adam! Yes his name was Adam and he loved Winter very, very much. So one day, Winter and Adam went on a picnic. They brought macaroni," I licked my lips. "They also brought ice cream, sandwiches, and watermelon. So many delicious things. Soon they finished the picnic. Oh wait I forgot to mention this is where they met. Under an old but beautiful oak tree on a cliff. They both went to sit at the edge of the cliff, the sun started to set, and they closed their eyes and leaned in in front of the beautiful sky an-" All of the sudden banging came from the door, and shouting.
     "Autumn!! May is choking help her!!" I instantly jumped off the bed and ran to the door, Louis following close behind me.
     I yanked the door open and sprinted to the kitchen where May was rolling on the ground, clawing at her neck. Her eyes watered and her face was starting to turn pale.
     "Stand up May! I can help you!" I yelled, tears springing to my eyes. She tried to stand but she couldn't, she fell back too weak to stand. Louis grabbed her and held her up as I performed the Heimlich maneuver on her, hoping that it would work. And then a large chunk of carrot went flying across the room.
     May gasped for air and Russ rushed over to keep her steady as I hugged Louis very hard. I had come close to losing one of my friends already and we weren't even in trouble.
     The tears in my eyes fell freely and Louis rubbed my back so gently and soothingly. I was so lucky that I had him. Finally May's breathing started to go back to normal, and she stuttered out the words
     T-thank y-you Autumn." I went over to her and hugged her and the tears started to flow again.
     "I'm ok, stop crying." said May, a little shakily.
     "You need some rest May, here you go take a nap in Nikki and Kora's room. Russ I need you to watch her just in case something happens even though nothing will most likely. But just in case." I say.
     Hey I think you need to take a nap too, that must've been exhausting..." says Louis. "Yeah," I mutter under my breath.
    I saunter back to Louis and I's room and lay down on the bed. I climb under the sheets and curl up into a ball. And then I drift off into a haunted sleep, where I dream over and over of what would've happened if I hadn't gotten there in time.
