Update: Items

Hello all! We're going to be adding a few new items after the encounter with the government. 

1) Shovel: +2 damage, +1 building speed for buildings.

Requires level 2 building skill, 10 materials, and 3 energy to build.

2) Hammer: +1 damage, +2 building speed for items.
Requires workshop, level 3 building skill, 10 materials, and 3 energy to build.

3) Sledge-hammer: +3 damage, +1 building speed for buildings.
Requires workshop, level 4 building skill, 12 materials, and 4 energy to build.

4) Hoe: +1 food from farming (now craftable).
Requires workshop, level 3 building skill, 8 materials, and 2 energy to build.

5) Greenhouse: +1 food every day even during the winter.
Requires workshop, 2 space, level 5 building skill, 30 materials, and 6 energy to build.

6) Typewriter: allows for the writing of books.
Requires workshop, level 5 building skill, 15 materials, and 10 energy to build.

7) Book: can be levelled up like training a normal person using /write in "Book name". 1 skill per book. Build the book before writing in it. Don't forget to give the book a name to distinguish it from the others.
Requires typewriter, 10 materials, and 6 energy to build. 

The updated building skill table is therefore as follows:

Level 0: build barrier (20 materials, 5 energy), reinforce barrier (10 materials, 3 energy)
Level 1: build spear (5 materials, 1 energy), 5 arrows (6 materials, 1 energy)
Level 2: build shield (15 materials, 3 energy), backpack (10 materials, 5 energy), club (8 materials, 2 energy), workshop (50 materials, 3 energy), shovel (10 materials, 3 energy)
Level 3: build axe (10 materials, 3 energy), bow (8 materials, 5 energy), hammer (10 materials, 3 energy)
Level 4: build 5 ammo (5 materials, 1 energy), sledge-hammer (12 materials, 4 energy)
Level 5: build gun (50 materials, 20 energy)

Note: All level 3+ items require a workshop. Writing books require a typewriter.

Level 4+ healers can now also make medicine using 3 food and 1 material using the command /make medicine.

Also some clarifications: 

1) More dangerous patrols will be done instead of patrols when the patrol group has 4+ members. They will go against a +1 threat on the patrol and increase the border strength by 2.

2) Buildings decrease the border by -0.5 every day so, with the current 6 buildings, the border will decrease by 3 every day.

And some more updates:

1) People who have maxed out one of their skills can pick a third skill to specialize in which will start at level 0. This only applies if you only have 2 skills already.

2) The fighting table has been updated to allow for more chance and give lower level characters a chance to fight upper-level characters :)

The updated fighting skill table is therefore as follows:

Level 0: 0-20
Level 1: 0-30
Level 2: 0-40
Level 3: 0-50
Level 4: 0-60
Level 5: 0-70

3) Once someone has reached the max level in a skill, random skill increases for that skill will no longer occur. This is partly because of how much more work it is to do the random skill increases, which were only meant to be a way for the group to obtain the max level skills later in the game.
