The Night of Death
Mike turned the steering wheel one last time, pulling into the parking lot of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
His phone rang in his pocket. He slipped it out and hit the talk button.
"Hello?"
Static for a split second.
"Mike, just called to tell you- be careful around that fox... I-I never really trusted that one... Um.. Oh, and make sure to keep an eye on that bear, too."
"Er, okay, Chelsea," Mike murmured into the phone after recognizing the voice.
He heard a knock in the background.
"Uh, Mike... I-I gotta go.. Uh, see you tomorrow..." She whispered uncomfortably. "...I hope.."
Then she hang up.
Mike just shrugged and pushed through the doors of the pizzeria.
He started to walk past Pirate's Cove. But then he stopped.
He glanced over at the Cove. He'd never really paid much attention to it before. It had bright purple curtains dotted with stars, but they were torn and tattered. It had a old wooden sign reading "Sorry, Out of Order!" in front of it, hanging loosely. He slowly reached out his hand and pulled the curtains open slightly. He peeked in and looked up at the tattered fox robot inside.
It had glowing amber eyes, one which was covered with a black eye patch. There was a rip on its stomach, too, that exposed the rusted metal endoskeleton inside.
Mike shook his head and backed out of Pirate's Cove, closing the curtains behind him.
He walked down the hallway, glancing at the children's drawings that lined the walls as he went.
When he reached his office, he sat down in his chair and reached for his tablet as he waited for the phone to ring, which it did.
He picked up the phone.
"Hello? Hello...? Oh wow, d-day four.. I knew you could do it. Hey, um, l-listen, I may not be around to leave you a message tomorrow..."
Mike heard banging in the background.
"I-It-It's b-been a bad night here for me... I-I'm glad I recorded this message for you wh-when I did... Er, can you do me a favor..?" There was more banging in the background of the call. "Maybe you could check inside those suits in the back room...?" There was more banging. Mike sat in silence.
"I'm gonna try to hold out until someone ch-checks... Maybe it won't be so bad..." More banging. "I always wondered what was in all those empty heads back there.." Freddy's chime started to play.
"..y-you know..." There was a moan that sounded like Bonnie or Chica.
"Oh no-!"
Then there was an animatronic screech and the call went to static.
Mike was stunned. H-Had the man died..?
He heard footsteps. He'd forgotten to check the cameras.
He gasped and picked up the tablet. He couldn't find Bonnie anywhere. The put the tablet down and checked the left hall light, only to find the big purple bunny standing there. He quickly slammed the door.
This was going to be a long night.
