The Beginning

Mike pushed open the doors to the pizzeria. He'd came in earlier and somehow he'd gotten the job. The manager sounded pretty desperate.
He walked past Pirate's Cove and then down the west hallway, toward his office. This would be his first night.
He entered his office and glanced around. There were two buttons next to each door, one labeled "Door" and another labeled "Light".
There was a tablet laying on his desk. He picked it up. The phone rang. He flinched, startled.
He put the tablet down and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Er...Hi?"
"Um, I wanted to record a message for you... To help you get settled in on your first night.. Um.. I used to work in that office before you. I'm actually finishing up my last week now. I know it can be overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you that there's nothing to worry about. You'll be fine! So let's just focus on getting you through your first week, okay?"
"Er.... Okay....?"
"First there's a introductory greeting from the company I'm supposed to read to you... Um.. It's kind of a legal thing, you know... 'Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a magical place where fantasy and fun come to life! Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days or as soon as property has been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced, blah, blah, blah.' Now that might bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about! The animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath, I'd probably be a bit irritable at night, too. So remember, these characters have a special place in children's hearts, and you need to show them a little respect. So just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh.. They're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night... Something about they're servos locking up if they're turned off for too long.. They used to be able to walk around during the day, too.. But then there was the 'Bite of '87'..."
Mike still sat silently, listening to the guy on the phone's every word. His eyes had widened when he had mentioned The Bite. He shook his head.
"It's amazing the human body can live without the frontal lobe," the phone guy said. "Now concerning your safety... The only problem for you as a night watchman, if any, is that these characters... They won't recognize you as a human if they see you after hours. They'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without a costume. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to... Forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit.. Now that wouldn't be so bad if the suits weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area, so you could imagine having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those would cause a lot of discomfort... And death... The only parts of you that'd see the light of day again would be your eyes and teeth popping out of the front of the mask. Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. Well, your first day should be a breeze! I'll talk to you tomorrow.. Oh, and remember to close those doors only when necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night!"
He hung up.
"Well this is going to be an interesting job..." Mike muttered as he glanced at his watch. Wow, it was already 4:30 A.M. Maybe the guy on phone was right; maybe his first day would be a breeze.
