"You can't catch me!" I taunted my best friend Gabriella Tong, also known as Gabby.

"I got Serena, Cameron, Ash, Leaf, Dawn, and Gary! I am so going to catch you!"

"In your dreams!" We kept laughing and finally, after a long period of time, she tagged me. "That was fun." I panted. "But let's eat food first."

"YAY FOOD!!" Ash yelled, making a beeline for the picnic table. My mother, Aunt Delia, Aunt Grace, and Aunt Johanna were sitting and chatting about all sorts of things.

"It's an honor to be able to know the champion of Sinnoh." Aunt Delia said.

"Oh, Delia. No need for formalities, just be casual."

"But it's the champion of Sinnoh we're talking about!" Aunt Grace exclaimed.

Mom scratched her head in embarrassment. "I know..."

Ash looked at me, confused. "Your mom is the champion of Sinnoh, Cynthia?!"

I nodded. "Yes, and you're not the first one to react like that."

Ash looked at me with stars in his eyes. "Woah! You're so lucky!"

"Yes, I am." We watched Serena and Gabby giggling and running from an angry Gary and Leaf. For a moment, it was just calm, peaceful silence. Later, Misty joined us.

"Hey! Whatcha doing!"

"Misty!" I exclaimed. "How nice to see you!" My long distance best friend and I hugged for a moment, then I noticed something odd. "How come you aren't at your gym?"

Misty's face sank. "My gym..." She started to sob.

"Misty!" I hugged her.

Misty took a deep breath. "My sisters...stole my gym."
