Chapter 1
I remember when I supposedly died. It was my 15th birthday, and we had a party. Everyone was cheering when I blew out the candles. How did such a marvelous day become such a horrible disaster? All that I can remember before I blacked out was that the cake tasted rotten, and everyone was freaking out. Before everything went black, I heard my mom say the cake was poisoned!
Later that day, I woke up in a white hospital room. The lights were blinding me, and I had to squint. In front of me, I saw a woman with pink hair and a nurse's outfit say, "Congratulations, Champion Cynthia! It's a girl!" Wait...Isn't Cynthia the name of the Champion of Sinnoh in Pokémon? "What do you want to name her?" The nurse, who I recognized as Nurse Joy, asked. The blonde haired woman, Cynthia, said, "I would like to name her...Ashlyn." And, my new life began.
One day, Cynthia brought me to Sinnoh. "How do you like it?" Cynthia asked as she cradled me, her voice gentle and full of warmth. I couldn't form words, but inside, my mind was racing. Sinnoh looked beautiful, yet alien. It felt like an out-of-body experience, looking at a world I had only known through a screen. "I knew you'd like it!" Cynthia beamed, her smile radiant. For a moment, I allowed myself to bask in the comfort of her embrace, though a part of me couldn't shake the unease of my new reality.
Once we were at my new home, Cynthia opened the door and yelled, "Leon! Could you get Garchomp? Tell her I need the baby carriage." "Right away, ma'am!" Leon, the most powerful trainer in the world and champion of Galar, saluted. He ran into the house and later came out with a Garchomp and a baby carriage. Cynthia put me into the carriage and rolled it into the house.
As Cynthia rolled the carriage into the house, I peeked over the edge, observing my new surroundings. The light blue walls were adorned with framed photographs of Cynthia in her champion battles, and Pokémon memorabilia lined the shelves. Leon appeared, grinning widely as he approached with Garchomp. "Welcome home, little one," he said, his voice filled with warmth. Garchomp rumbled affectionately, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and unsureness in this new, vibrant world.
(A/N That's all for now! Have fun, boys and girls!)
