Recap:

"You can't run now Rena, you have to fight me eventually." He spoke as he looked up from his book. I swallowed the lump in my throat and let out a shaky breath. Before I could even attempt to make a move on him, the alarm rang. He smiled at me and motioned me to follow him to where Naruto was tied up.

Shit, we failed the test...

We now sat in front of Kakashi with a tied up Naruto. I sighed and looked down at the grass. We failed and we are to be sent back to the academy. I could always drop out and work like I planned. I could go to a civilian school if I wanted. I can just become a housewife.

Yeah, that'll be nice...

A teenager with brown hair tied in a ponytail was cooking in a kitchen. She was storing a pot of homemade soup. She sighed and looked to her right to see her brother flipping a chicken breast from the pan.

"You are just going to eat that with nothing?" She deadpans at her brother. He shrugs and leaves the kitchen.

She sighs and looked down at the pot. She stares at it for a while till she nods her head.

"Alright, I'll just eat a little bit today and the rest of tomorrow when mom packs it for her lunch at work." She smiled and stirs as she hums a tune.

"I'm going to kill Drake for getting that stupid song in my head..." She grumbles as the front door, which can be heard, opens with a dangle of keys.

"Hi Mamí! Bendición!"

"All four of you are being dropped from the program. Permanently."

I snap my head up at Kakashi. Oh, did I miss something? These daydreams just get weirder. I'm guessing we all failed. I can always go to plan B...

Naruto started to yell in anger at Kakashi sensei. I can see why he's telling us we can't be ninjas at all.

"Because you don't think like ninja. You think like little kids, like brats." Kakashi replies. Apparently, that hit a chord in Sasuke because he charged at our sensei. Idiot, he's a jounin if Naruto couldn't do it what makes you think you can?

Kakashi sensei sits on top of Sasuke, his foot on top of his head and holding his arm backward in the perfect position to break his arm. This is useful notes right there. "You thinks it's all about you." Kakashi spoke to Sasuke, making him grunt.

"Let go of Sasuke! You can't step on him like he's a bug!" Yells Sakura in anger. Well, he deserved it for underestimating our sensei for crying out loud! Sasuke keeps grunting either in annoyance or pain. Either one fits him really.

"You don't know what it means to be a ninja. You think it's a game, huh?" All of us grunts except me and sensei. "Why do you think we put you on squads? Did you consider that question for one moment?" He said it in a rather cold and angry tone. Remind me not to mess with him...

"Uh, I don't get what you mean?" Sakura asks confused. "I mean, you never realized what this exercise is all about. Not even close."

Is it not teamwork? We are put in a group as a team for a reason. Are they idiots?

"What's it about?" Naruto asks.

"Yes, that's what determines whether you pass or fail." Kakashi sensei explains. You would think Sakura is smart, nope, she just asks a rather dumb question. I sighed and rubbed my temple. I'm with idiots...

"Tsk. Use your head," She does have a pretty big forehead, "Four people on a squad. Why do you think we would do that?" Kakashi asks again to try and put it into their minds.

Naruto yells in frustration and asked why we were put in a group of four people.

"It's so basic. Rena, why don't you tell them what it was." Kakashi asks (more like demands) me. I sighed and looked up at them.

"T-teamwork.." I respond in a loud voice.

A cross of realization came upon their faces. I sighed and shook my head.

"Thank you Rena, that's what I mean. It's too late now. But if all four of you had come at me, you would have had the chance to get a bell. Well, anyway, it's over." Oh well, might as well start going home.

I stood up and leaned against the pole that Naruto was tied up to. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths to relax.

"Sakura, you obsessed about Sasuke who was gone, while Naruto was right in front of you, and you wouldn't lift a finger to help him. Naruto, you do everything on your own. Everything. Rena, you simply gave up when I appeared, you sacrifice yourself so the others would pass, not thinking about the consequences you could have done. And you, Sasuke, thought the others were so far beneath you, they were worthless. Arrogance.

Ninja missions are carried out in squads. Of course, you need individual skills. But teamwork is the most essential element. Every Shinobi understands this. When individuals put themselves above the squad, this can lead to failure and death. For example, Sakura, kill Naruto now or Sasuke dies. If you don't, Rena, kill Sakura."

Naruto and Sakura yelled louder when they saw me take out my kunai. What, she's not going to kill him, might as well kill her to save the team. "That's what happens in a team." Kakashi sensei finish and gets off of Sasuke.

I put my kunai back and closed my eyes, ignoring the rest of his speech. Sheesh, just imagine someone writing all he said and getting a cramp because of it.

I think I missed something because Naruto started to yell all excited. I'll just ignore it.

"Eat lunch now to build up strength. But Naruto doesn't get any." Naruto grunts in anger at Kakashi sensei's directions. Well, that's not fair, how are we going to get a retry with one teammate down with hunger?

"I make the rules, you follow them. Got it." I nodded at his command and grabbed one of the bento boxes. Everyone started to eat as Kakashi sensei left. Well, everyone but me and Naruto. I don't want to eat in front of them without a mask. I sighed and stood up facing Naruto. I picked up some rice and force-fed him.

"What are you doing! You're not supposed to be feeding Naruto." Sakura said with a worried expression. "We n-need him to pass, I-if we don't w-we will fail with t-this extra weight..." I said quietly as I kept feeding him. Sasuke hn'ed and started to also feed him. After a while, Sakura gave in and fed him to which made Naruto blush for some odd reason.

A loud explosion and a flying Kakashi sensei came out of nowhere. The wind was blown everywhere making me hold on tight to the hood of my cloak revealing only my ninja outfit. They can't see anyways so it's okay.

"You broke the rules. I hope you're ready for the punishment." He started to make some handsigns which made the clear sky grey. Oh dear, a thunderstorm. "Any last words?" He asked us. I would have answered but I'm too busy fixing my cloak to pay attention. I heard them yell at him something with being a team.

"Hm. You pass." He smiled at us which took us all by surprise. Oh, we pass. This is awesome, higher pay!

"You're the first squad that ever succeeded. The others did exactly what I said and fell into every trap. They couldn't think for themselves. A ninja must see through deception. In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum. That's true. But those who abandon their friends are worse than scum." Kakashi finished with a very good statement. That will be my favorite quote for now on. Sakura "ah's" in realization, Naruto is tearing up, and Sasuke's smirks. I just wanna go home now.

"The exercise is over. Everyone passes," Oh, plan B is destroyed now, "Squad Seven starts its first mission tomorrow." He gives us a big thumbs up as Sakura and Naruto cheers in happiness. Sasuke and I silent. "Let's go home." Don't need to tell me twice. I walked behind Kakashi sensei with the rest of the team. Hmmm, I feel like we're missing something right now...

Must not be important if I can't remember.

IMPORTANT

I will not be able to update for two weeks due to personal reasons. I will not be able to update this Monday because of it. Half of it is due to school because of the whole week I missed out, I still have a lot to catch up on school work. Since I'm a sophomore in high school, I am taking most of my classes serious because I am not doing well in it because of what I missed out. I'm so sorry about this, I promise to do a double update after this is on hold.
