Recap:

"I'LL DEMOLISH YOU!" Yelled out Naruto in anger as Kakashi sensei held him back by his collar.

I walked down the dirt road to the gates. We are to meet by the gates and escort the Tazuna, I have recently found out his name, to the land of waves because he's a bridge master or something like that. I wasn't really paying attention, I just wanted my money he promised.

I had my ninja attire with my ninja sandals on this time. My backpack and my sword were underneath my shorter black cloak, so it's more breathable to move and fight in. I usually go with the one that covers down to my legs. I made it to the gates to see my team and that Tazuna guy there.

I stood close to Sasuke since he doesn't show fear towards me like Sakura and Naruto does. We walked out the gates, Naruto being in the front as we followed behind. All the sudden, Naruto turned around and yelled in excitement. It startled me a bit since it was out of nowhere.

"What are you getting so excited about, Naruto?" Sakura asked, irritation clearly in her tone. I sighed and ignore their chat as I stood beside Sasuke. He's the normal one next to the drunk.

"Hey, am I suppose to trust my life to this runt? He's a joke." Tazuna laughed. Kakashi sensei chuckled, "He's with me, and I'm a jounin, so you don't need to worry."

I coughed to cover the giggle that almost escaped out of my mouth. Due to Tazuna's comment, Naruto went off at him in anger. I sighed and walked ahead of the group, I'm not getting any younger now. Tazuna soon joined me after arguing with Naruto. "What's with the cloak kid?" He asked. I stayed silent and kept on walking. "Don't l-like showing m-myself, sir." I quickly answered as my team started to catch up with us.

———— Timeskip no jutsu ————

It has been hours since we left the village. We walked down the dirt road as Sakura started to make conversation with Tazuna. Does she not know a conversation with a drunk is just long and pointless. So much work to talk back and forth. Oh no, I'm beginning to sound like Shikamaru...

"What are you doing!" A teenage girl yelled at a toddler. "Give me that back, you don't touch this at all, okay?" She hit the back of his head as she took away her Nintendo 3DS away from him.

"I should hit you harder next time you do something like this. Freaking kids, you always ask for permission before taking things.." She mumbled, walking away to sit on the couch to play.

"Nicolle, don't hit your brother! We don't hit in this house at all." A female voice spoke to her. She had blue eyes, mid-length blonde hair wearing a plain white t-shirt with colorful leggings.

She looked up from her game and gasped. "I'm turning into Mami! I'm sorry Kaleb, I didn't mean to hit you, I'm sooo sorry baby." She stood up and hugged her baby brother against her as she rubbed the back of his head. She showered him with kisses and placed him on her hips.

"It's okay Nico, It's okay." Kaleb responded and gave her a kiss. "I love you!" The girl smiled and kissed him back. "Love you too, now let's go play outside!" She smiled and lifted him up, making him fly around the room as they made their way to the door. Their laughter surrounding the house as the female stood by the couch with a smile.

"Hey! You all just doubted Lord Hokage, didn't you? That's what you were thinking." Kakashi sensei spoke, getting me out of my daydream.

I looked in front of me as my three teammates stopped their tracks, Naruto and Sakura standing nervously. Did I miss something important again? The daydreams just keep coming in more than usual. I sighed and walked pass my teammates. We walked on a small wooden bridge over the small waterway. It was clear since you could see the fishes shining.

We continued walking down the dirt road. I was a little off by the side near Naruto since I don't want to make him nervous with my present. I heard a small splash and felt something wet underneath my right foot. I looked down to see a small puddle.

Great, my ninja sandals are wet now... I'll take them off later on our way there.

I heard something loud behind me and turned around. Two adult male ninjas were behind Kakashi sensei, their spike chains wrapping around his body. My eyes widen as they cut him into pieces with the chains. I let out a shaky breath and took out my kunai, my hand trembling.

"K-Kakashi sensei!" Naruto Yelled out as Sakura let out a gasp.

All the sudden, the ninjas were right behind him. Shit, I need to act quickly before he gets hurt by them. I jumped up in the air at the same time as Sasuke, pulling out our weapons from our pouches. He threw a shuriken at one of the chains as I do the same, mine missed which made Sasuke throw another one, making the chains get attach to a tree's trunk. Sasuke landed on their metal arms, leaving me to land near Naruto, my whole body shaking. Sasuke separates them both, leaving them to go attack me and Naruto and Sakura and Tazuna. I quickly stood in front of Naruto, sheathing out my trembling sword to block his attack. Fuck, I can't stop my body from shaking, I could see the ninja staring at us in amusement.

Before anything could happen, Kakashi sensei appeared with the two ninjas in his arms in a headlock. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and shakily put my sword back into its sheath. I swallow down the fear and stared at our sensei.

He died, how is this possible?

I looked at the site where he was killed only to see small logs. He must have used the replacement jutsu. Very clever sensei. He looked over his shoulders over to the both of us. "Naruto, Rena, sorry I didn't help you right away. I didn't mean for you to get hurt," Wait, who got hurt! "I just didn't think you guys freeze up like that." He walked away from us over to Sasuke and Sakura.

"Good job, Sasuke. Very smooth. You too Sakura." He praised them.

I... I was useless once again..

I looked down and clenched my fist, grinding my teeth underneath my mask. I felt myself shake, making me even more frustrated with myself. I closed my eyes shut and blocked out everything around me. I couldn't help out like Sasuke did. I wasn't enough to even get noticed.

I was so useless when I tried to fight and protect, damn it!

I took slow breaths and returned back to reality. I look over to see the ninjas we fought tied up by a tree. I look over to Naruto to see his hand bleeding. All of the sudden he stabbed his hand with his kunai. What is this idiot doing!? He's going to lose more blood than he was before. After saying his whole little speech, I learned to block it out by now, Kakashi sensei told him what was on my mind.

The world around me felt dizzy and I felt my right arm throbbing. I looked at my arm, my eyes widening at the sight. I have been cut by that ninja's poison claws. Shit, this isn't going to be pretty. I place my left hand over the injury, a glowing green light healing up what I could. I saw Sasuke look at me with the corner of my eyes. I placed my hand back to my side, breathing heavily.

My eyes rolled to the back of my head as I felt myself fall down to the dirt ground. Great, Kakashi sensei better treat the poison. He should know how to remove poison out, he's a jounin for crying out loud.

I don't trust my teammates taking care of it themselves.

Hey, how you guys doing! Hope you enjoyed this chapter, my back started to hurt for some reason lol.

Sasuke's face gave me life when I was watching episode six, the expression he made got me dying.

Was it too much or too little?

Next week might not be able to update due to spring break. I will be on a plane to go spend time with my father, going to Disneyland in Florida after many years.
