Chakra

Recap:

I got off the tatami mat and went through my book bag to find my kimono. After putting it on, I wrapped my foot with white bandages, stopping at my ankles.

I quickly put on my cloak, lifting my hood up to cover my eyes.

Well, let's train...

———————————

"Alright, training starts now!" Kakashi sensei spoke standing in front of us.

We were in a small clearing in the woods. We were in a semi-circle, Sasuke behind Naruto, I'm next to Naruto, and Sakura next to Kakashi sensei.

"First, we will begin with a review of chakra, the ninja's basic source of power. Understanding chakra is essential." Kakashi sensei explained.

"We know that." Sasuke spoke up from behind Naruto. Well, he's right, we learned it in the academy.

Naruto nodded along. "He's right! A long time ago we learned about- Uh, cattra." I facepalmed. Naruto, you are truly an idiot.

"Chakra." Kakashi sensei and I corrected him. Naruto sweatdropped when we corrected him.

"Go ahead Sakura." He sighed as he points his hand out to her. She put her hand on her hips and looked towards Naruto.

"Alright, Naruto. I'll explain it simply, so you can understand it. Chakra is the elemental life energy a ninja used in ninjutsu. It's the source of all his power. Now, this energy has two forms, physical energy, which exists in all the cells in the entire body all working together, and spiritual energy, the primal source of power which is intensified through training and experience.

As you see, these two types of chakra must be drawn out and brought together in order to perform ninjutsu. Notice the interplay between physical and spiritual power. That's the key. Finally, hand signs focus and unleash the chakra."

Smartass, no one likes one.

"Right on all points. Iruka sensei really did have some excellent students." Kakashi sensei praises.

Hey, I'm good too! I'm just not good with my memory and test taking, alright?

Naruto started to rant about why her explanation was so complicated. She's a teacher's pet, that's why. Why do you think she's standing beside sensei?

"No, you have not mastered this power. You've barely scratched the surface of it." Is sensei going crazy? What does he mean by that, are we not already using our chakras properly?

"What do you mean?" Naruto yelled out angrily.

"Calm down and listen. It's just like Sakura said. You have to draw on physical and spiritual energies and then combine them within yourself. But... how do you do that?" Oh no, another speech...

If this continues, someone is going to start getting cramps writing all this information down. Should I just zone out of this? Is it worth it?

"You have to focus on physical and spiritual energies and then combine them yourself."

Too late...

"But... How do you do that? Each jutsu requires a different type of chakra in different proportions. You must select and combine them in an exact way. Up to now, you've just guessed the proportions, hoping they come out right. Even if you can produce a lot of chakra, unless you can balance and control it, it's all worthless. The jutsu won't work at all, or it'll be just a joke. You waste so much energy that way. Then you're all out of chakra, and you can't fight at all. You're just a target." Kakashi sensei finished.

Wasn't this all in the scrolls back in the library home?

"so what do we have to do?" Sakura answered. She has a good point, how are we going to be able to balance and control our chakras perfectly? Kakashi sensei laughed.

"Clim a tree." I deadpanned. Is he serious? Everyone except for me repeated his sentence.

"That's right. But... there is one rule. No hands." I squinted my eyes at him.

"What? You're kidding?" Sakura spoke for us.

"Am I? Let's see." Kakashi sensei did a hand sign and started to walk over to a tree with his crutches. He placed a foot against the tree, suddenly he placed his other foot and started to walk up the tree till he was hanging upside down one of its branches. "Well, you get the idea. Focus chakra towards the soles of your feet and use it to connect to the tree. This is one way to apply the power of chakra.

Sakura asked sensei how this is going to help us defeat Zabuza. This is the part where sensei was going to lecture us again. Can we just start practicing, I want to get this over with.

Nicolle fan herself with her right hand as she sat down again a stop sign.

"The sun is starting to bother the top of my head, sheesh." She laid back with her back on the concrete sidewalk. Drake stood a few feet from her, looking down at his phone with his backpack next to him on the grassy ground. He looked over at her with a smile.

"I thought you love the hot, you come from a tropical place!" Nicolle rolled her eyes.

"I love the warmth it's giving me, but the heat it's giving to my head is annoying me." Drake chuckled an walked towards her, seating near her. "So, you want the sun to go away to give you some peace?"

"Hell no, if the sun goes away again I'm going to freeze to death out here!" She sat up and looked up at him. She shot him a dirty look at the height difference between them. Even if he sat down, he was still taller than the small teenager. He laughed and looked down at his phone.

"You really hate the cold man, how? The cold is better than the hot." Nicolle scoff at him. "Idiot, who wants to always be cold! The hot is always the best, staying all cozy and warm and actually do outside activities without worrying if you are well prepared for the weather outside."

A school bus slowly drove by them, stopping to unloaded the middle schoolers on the bus. "You're still a freshman man, trust me, you like the cold one of these days." Drake spoke as they stood up ready to leave as Nicolle's brother got off the bus. She rolled her eyes and walked down the sidewalk with the two boys.

"Yeah, over my dead body! I'll never like the cold or winter! The hot and summer will always win me over you hoe."

"Who you calling a hoe 'cause it ain't me!"

Ending it with a flashback. Next chapter will be the actual training guys.

Thank you for the 10k view guys!!!

Okay, I have to go on a break again.

"What, AGAIN? You just came back!"

I know and I'm sorry, but this is very important. It's spring and it's nearing summer. This means that exams are coming real soon. I have a math exam in, I believe, three weeks. Math is my worst subject I'm having trouble with at the moment. I'm trying not to fail my math class or any other classes like I did in my past. I really want to be fully prepared to pass all my math and other exams so I don't have to worry about going to summer school or retaking it.

If that happens to me, I don't think I would be able to have time to write more chapters :(

Thank you for those who read the author notes and understands why I'm doing this. I will try to update when I can!

Like always, drop a vote, comment or follow so I'll know if you guys like it and want more chapters to come.

Till next time!
