Let's Play Keep Away

Erestor worked on the paperwork as Egamoth made sure that Glorfindel was sleeping soundly. He stood and made his way over to the closet that would belong to their little one, starting to sort through the clothing.
"I was thinking that we should put the adult clothes with ours and put the clothes he will be using the most in this one. He has more of the Little Space clothes than the other. What do you think?" Egamoth was looking at a very cute onesie with sunflowers embroidered in gold that kinda looked formal. Only those in the know would realize that it was for Littles.
"Hmm.... That would make sense. It also means that he will need a full wardrobe commissioned for him with fabrics that will not irritate his skin." Erestor placed his quill down, studying his reborn husband. "Does he seem physically smaller than he used to be?"
"Yes. He's also lighter than he should be. His muscle mass is reduced but not unhealthily." Egamoth folded the plain onesies, placing them in smaller boxes with a bag of lavender in each box. The blankets were next on the list. So many were flannel and fluffy.
"We'll need to teach him how to speak, read, and write this form of elvish when he's more alert. He will also need to be constantly monitored and we'll need to keep him away from the new generation of lords and ladies. You know how he is with court. It is a relief that we don't have to worry about that for a few years though." Erestor finished the document and signed it with a flourish he hadn't done since Gondolin. He didn't realize that he'd done it and perhaps no one else would notice it.
"I wish there was an easier way to protect him but you know that once he's recovered enough, he'll be training with the guard and the soldiers and stirring up trouble," Egamoth snorted as he remembered the prank with the geese on Turgon. Erestor nodded, the same memory playing in his head. There was a soft babble from the bed, both whipping their heads to face the bed.
Glorfindel's eyes were unfocused as he tried to move a bit. He was warm and felt safe, familiar smells were around him. He was tired, sore, and wanted cuddles from his Ada. He tried to form words but he felt too small to speak. A few moments later, Ada was next to him and was cooing at him. He giggled, wanting to be held. His Ata was here also. He could feel the love pouring from them both and giggled tiredly. Erestor scooped up paperwork and made room for Glorfindel to sit on his lap, Egamoth carried their Little One over before going back to sorting out the clothes. Both smiled when Glorfindel settled down, trying to suck his thumb.
"He'll need to eat soon. Do we still have any pacifiers?" Erestor asked. Egamoth shook his head.
"We don't have any that will work right now. I can go get a few right now along with some broth from the kitchen. We also need a few bottles." Egamoth stated, halfway through putting blankets away. Erestor nodded, writing down a list.
"That new shopkeeper is from Valmar and has what we need. He won't ask questions or tell anyone about what we bought. So many people nowadays are part Vanya and are experiencing their classifications, especially the ones from Elrond's house." Erestor passed the list over, smiling at Egamoth.
"How long til people piece together who we actually are and why he's so special?" Egamoth whispered looking at Glorfindel and wishing the world would leave his bonded alone.
"They haven't figured out who I am in thousands of years. You already told Gil Galad and Glorfindel isn't subtle at all. If they haven't noticed already, than they never will." Erestor's voice was steady and calmed Egamoth's nerves. He kissed both of their heads before leaving the room, Glorfindel once more completely and totally in a deep sleep.
Erestor got almost all the paper work done when Elrond entered the room. Glorfindel was still soundlessly asleep against Erestor, sucking on his thumb. Erestor just raised an eyebrow at Elrond and the marks that were visible. Elrond was wearing a collar also.
"I came to collect the paperwork," Elrond whispered, throat soar. Erestor sighed, motioning to a chair. Elrond just kneeled by the chair, blushing.
"I only have two more reports left. Would you be willing to wait?" Erestor asked, taking a moment to shift Glorfindel with ease. Elrond nodded, watching how experienced Erestor was with his bonded mate.
"Where you in Gondolin when it fell?" Elrond questioned as Erestor finished one report. Erestor took a second to keep his breathing under control before sighing.
"Yes. I almost died. This idiot killed three Balrogs, including the Lord of the Balrogs. Egamoth saved me from drowning in one of the fountains. This idiot also slayed many dragons that fateful day. While we retreated through the cleft, he fought off the fourth Balrog and fell. He was still alive when the eagles carried him to us. We wept for him as he died in our arms. It was so painful to burry him but flowers sprung up the moment the last rock was placed. His favorite flowers that only grew in Valmar." Erestor tried to stay calm, a few tears leaking out.
