Side Stories/What if's of Reborn; Celestial #1

[When Deva first used their magic for the first time.]

He looked around himself in boredom as he sat up in his baby playpen. His parents in this life were talking to others outside of the room of which they put him in the playpen for toddlers and babies. Granted, Deva was a toddler equivalent towards humans but he held more maturity! Sometimes, he does admit that he can be quite childish but his body affected his mind more than he realized.

Sighing he idly decided to try somewhat clearing his mind as he was THAT bored. As he idly cleared his mind did he find a warmth that radiated deep from his core. He idly 'looked' at the warmth while deciding to try metaphorically 'petting' it. When he 'touched' the warmth he soon found something was wrong. His vision coming back to him, he then found himself floating around as a galaxy aura surrounded him.

It was mind-boggling to him as he tried to get back to ground level but he floated idly around the room. As he idly floated did he get a mischievous idea. He giggled as he started to stack certain items on top of others or rearrange everything else. The lamp was now on top of the ceiling, the books stacked in a way that looked dangerous with fragile objects keeping them afloat, the plants sticking to the walls with no context, and no spill of dirt, and everything else at odd angles or not natural looking.

Giggling, Deva looked at his masterpiece as he felt tiredness seep into his soul. Yawning, he floated idly on a pile of pillows and blankets while falling into a dreamless slumber.

He only awoke to find his parent gaping at the room with him just falling back asleep.

He was too tired to care.

[What if Deva met Error 404 sooner along with the nephew?]

Deva fidgeted as he hides in the corner away from everyone. The mayor of the town was having a banquet for his son's birthday of which Deva didn't want to come as he hated how certain children were so arrogant and entitled in their views. It didn't help that Deva was the social outcast due to his less-than-stellar responses. Every child didn't want to be near him due to the fact he was blunt and honest along with having more maturity. No matter what universe/multiverse/dimension children are cruel to those that are different.

Sighing, he looked around at the adults and children that roamed the banquet until he spotted a doorway to somewhere else. Seeing that nobody was looking with his parents talking to other parents, Deva quickly walked out as he went elsewhere. After getting into a hallway, he roamed over the place as he looked at anything and everything. Moonlight beamed gently from the clear windows of which lighted up the hallways splendidly. He started the idly hum as he continued on his trek wherever he was going.

{Humming this but more childish and slightly lower due to Deva wanting to be quieter in sense.}

He stopped humming after a minute as he spotted a slightly cracked doorway of which he looked in to gasp in awe as he saw the plants, flowers, and various trees idly growing among what he presumed to be an indoor garden. Among them was a crystal piano with moonlight beaming gently down on the majestic view. His soul thumped and twirled as if wanting to play a song. But there was a problem with that plan.

Deva doesn't know how to play the piano.

Gulping, Deva walked nervously up the piano as he gazed at it with awe and curiosity. His soul flipped more after getting closer of which he didn't know what that entitled in his soul. He carefully got up onto the crystal chair of which he felt comfortable. It was like, everything around him was getting him comfortable and safe for something. Just then, information flooded his brain as his phalanges idly started to play a song he knew all too well.

As he played the song did magic gather in his eye sockets that were equivalent to tears for his species. He remembers how he heard the song from a Dreamtale animation when he was once human. As he played the song, he saw how over his phalanges, a more spectral structure appeared. Someone loved to play here dearly.

He could feel their sorrow, care, depression, anger, defeat, and resignation in the song. Deva was the true player, he was just a medium for the other to play again.

Which he didn't mind one bit.

It was freedom in some way, as he could feel the one controlling him becoming freer in sense. He hummed the lyrics idly under his breathe as he gazed down at the keys. The spirit just wanted to play this song one last time. As Deva got closer to the ending did the spirit grow more and more transparent as they seemed to dissipate of which when he hit that final note, peace was all he knew as the spirit disappeared.

He blinked as the tears idly flowed down his cheekbones which he rubbed away as he turned to get off of the piano to only stop as he spotted two individuals he knew all too well.

Error 404 and a young child Error.

He stilled as he looked at them while seeing 404 looks as if he saw a ghost with Error looking at him with curiosity and other emotions that Deva couldn't dissect properly.

"A-Ah!!! S-Sorry, I just felt compelled to play, e-excuse me!!!!"

Deva quickly got off the beautiful piano as he ran out of the indoor garden of which he felt someone reach out for him but he used the common Sans move.

He used a 'shortcut'.

He huffed as he found himself back in the corner of the banquet of which he sighed in relief. Error 404's are notoriously manipulative with high waves of obsession in some things. Deva didn't like how 404 looked at him of which he high-tailed it out of there as fast as he could. It was like 404 saw someone else when he looked at him and that made his soul shudder and waver with fear.

"Deva?"

He looked up to spot his mother looking at him with concern and motherly affection which made his body relax immediately. She wore a shawl around her head as she wasn't in the mood to summon her ecto hair which always made her look dazzlingly. Her mother held ruby red eye lights with her hair colored as fire itself came to life. She commanded fire and lava as easy as walking with destruction leading her path. Deva remembered she came from a family of fire-oriented folks with some being blacksmiths or dragon tamers. Having hair or wearing a shawl in monster skeleton society meant you were either more female or carrier in sense.

While father held more blue eye lights like sapphires or lapis lazulis. He commanded water and ice that same way as mother but more controlled. Father was a scholar with some connections to spirits and nature at its core. Deva found it funny how two opposites literally became soulmates though their bond was very strong. Both loved each other deeply which extended to him after he came into being.

"I'm fine Momma, just anxious."

Mother's eyes softened as she hugged Deva which he returned happily. Both his parents knew of his Autism which supported him fully and happily. It was warming to him of which he loved them happily.

"Attention!"

Deva jumped as he looked to see his mother also looking while bringing him along. Deva stayed away from others as he semi hide behind his mother while his father showed up right by them. He looked to the front to see a calico cat monster in a butler outfit with a monocle raising a glass. He tilted his head as he saw someone starting to come up from behind the calico of which they coughed then announced names that made Deva's soul freeze in mid-thump.

"Announcing, Mayor William 404 Trap and his son, Error 404 Trap!!!"

Deva looked at both with wide eye sockets as he felt his soul shiver as he grew cold. He shook his head as he hid more behind his mother as his parents looked at him with concern. He gave them a smile to calm them but they still looked concerned. Soon everyone started to move up to them of which something in Deva grew more chilled the closer they got.

Then, his mother and father were in front of 404 with him hiding behind him.

"We greet the Mayor and his son. I'm Vladimir Aahad, this is my soulmate Magnolia Aahad and our little bones Deva Aahad."

Deva took a deep breath as he came out from behind his mother and looked at 404 and Error. He didn't dare look at 404 as he smiled at Error who looked stunned at something.

"Hello, I'm Deva. Nice to meet you both!!!"

He gave them a smile that wasn't fake as it was nice to meet them though he wished it was in better circumstances. He then looked at 404 who looked conflicted of which Deva felt his soul shiver at the look. Then, 404 smiled this chilling smile of which Deva felt that he should stay home and faked sickness.

"Hello, dear one. It is a blessing to meet you again, 👌︎☼︎⚐︎❄︎☟︎☜︎☼︎."

Deva froze at the last word as he realized it as WING DINGS which knew some symbols due to his interest in it from his human life. He knew that 404 just called him brother to his face with no one the wiser as even though skeletons are good linguistics they have to study the language to understand it. And his parents don't know anything about wingdings. And the fact that 404 smiled more at his frozen state made his soul shiver again.

A HUGE misunderstanding just happened.

[Getting to know Deva more.]

The Moon and Sun Empire skeletons idly talked while sitting in a cafe they all came to adore. Deva was idly being cuddled by Error and Nightmare while looking sorta flustered. Bardo was giggling with Blue over their ships sailing while creating more pranks or ships with Ink inching away from them by the second. Horror was debating with Fell on certain murder methods with Killer joining in. Dust, Cross, and Outer were keeping an eye on the three of them while looking either impressed with the murder methods or done with the more ridiculous ones. Dream was across from Deva, Error, and Nightmare with Apollo and Erebus lazying by Genesis and Fresh just cuddling a plushy he got somewhere.

"Oh!!! Papa let's share stories!!!"

Deva blinked as he looked at Bardo with a conflicted look. He isn't exactly sure he should share as he does have some stories he could share.

"Hmm? Kitten has stories to share? Interesting, would you want to listen, onyx?"

"I wouldn't mind, we don't know a lot about our little kitten after all."

"O!!!! Storytime guys!!!!"

"Really? Huh, I wonder what Deva has experienced?"

"HOW EXCITING!!!!"

"Turn down the volume Blue, we don't need our eardrums."

"Huh? Wonder...what story....will be...told."

"I'm interested."

"Same."

Soon everyone crowded around Deva with all of them looking interested of which he sighed as he looked at them.

"Are you really sure? My stories aren't all that interesting." (He will talk like this so you know that Deva is talking for this side story.)

Bardo gave them a look that screamed 'bullshit' with everyone else nodding. Deva sighed as he looked at the table for a second then snapped his fingers as he remembered something.

"I had this friend that I saw as a sorta brother figure. I remember deciding to set up a prank one day as I was feeling oddly mischievous. Soooo, for half the day I pretended to have an alter ego that was in love with the sight of blood and seeing others bleed out. He ended up freaking out as nobody was really around when it happened and I had a knife at the time to scare him. And he thought that the alter ego was completely unknown to me as I 'pretended' to not know anything. That ended up biting me in the pelvis as he really believed I had an alter ego which he tried to prove to everyone that they were real. Everyone knew I was trying to play a prank which they tried to tell him but he never believed it. Then, everyone wanted to see how that came to be so I played the prank on everyone. Again, backfired as everyone then thought I really had an alter ego. I just decided to leave it as nobody really believed me when I told them it was fake."

Bardo laughed out loud as she remembered hearing about that when they were humans. Everyone else blinked as Killer joined in on Bardo's laughing fit as it was funny. Deva pouted as they looked at the two with slightly blushing cheekbones from embarrassment. Nightmare and Dream were convinced as they could sense no lie which greatly impressed them yet was funny how the prank backfired. Error looked interested in Deva's acting with Cross, Dust, and Blue also looking interested. Fell was sweating with Outer also looking slightly fearful. Fresh along with Horror looked at Deva with awe at the story. While Ink looked thoughtful.

"Can you demonstrate that to us, Deva?"

Everyone blinked as Deva looked thoughtful then gained this sly smirk as they disappeared. Ink then froze as they felt a sharp knife on the back of their spine of which everyone was looking on with wide eyes as they saw how Deva's eye lights were blood red with a dot of black on the inside of them. Their marking disappeared of which only the moon was seen while glowing a faint silver.

"Oh~ What's wrong sugar? Not willing to bleed for me~? Just one tiny drop of marrow~?"

Deva tilted Ink's head towards them while giving a blood-thirsty look that made Ink and everyone shiver. For Error and Nightmare, it was thrilling to see Deva give a more bloodthirsty side with the Moon Empire looking on in awe or slight fear with Fresh looking in awe at the acting. Blue was writing stuff down with Outer shivering in fear. Dream was gulping with Ink also doing it. While both admit they don't see Deva in that sort of light anymore, they couldn't help but find it hot of how they looked.

Deva then blinked which he returned to normal with no bloodthirsty look or knife in hand. It was so fast that it made some of them feel out of place.

"Oh dear, what was I doing again? I believe you asked a question Ink?"

Everyone understood how the villagers could think Deva held an alter ego. He just acted so naturally and fluid that Fresh gained some inspiration from it all with Blue taking notes in all of it. Bardo looked proud with Apollo and Erebus looking at Deva with wide eye sockets and stars for eye lights. Genesis seemed to be glowing proudly as if saying 'That's my Dad/Mom!!!!'. Deva coughed as he sat in the middle of Error and Nightmare again. He looked down at the table as he blushed blue and red on certain cheekbones. Bardo then continued as if the incident didn't happen.

"What next!?!?!?!?"

Everyone also looked excited as well with some coming closer to listen. Deva coughed as he said another story that happened.

"I was around eight or nine when I met one of my cousins from my mom's side of the family. They were a female skeleton with yellow eye lights and yellow ecto hair with orange highlights. We would play from time to time but she was more....I guess full of herself?"

Others looked curious on why Deva would say this while Bardo rolled her eye lights.

"Call her a bitch Dad!!!! She is one!!!"

Everyone looked at Bardo with wide eye lights while Fresh's glasses slide down in surprise. Bardo was not one to curse with Deva being the same but if they were truly mad or trying to be more honest then they would curse. But again, that never usually happens. But the fact that Bardo just called another a bitch means that the other was truly a bitch in high form. Deva sighed as he nodded.

"Yeah, she was a bitch."

That cemented it as even Deva looked done with the topic of her. Error and Nightmare grew protective when they saw Deva's and Bardo's look of resignation and anger on each of their faces.

"She was sweet for the first two weeks but then she turned jealous when someone she liked talked to me with her being there. She then turned into the envy green bitch that liked to torment everything about me while trying to make my life miserable. I was mature enough to tell the adults about this as I didn't want to deal with her jealously. She became more subtle after that of which she spread rumors that I slept with anyone who paid me, belittled anyone, hurt elderly and children, and was a deranged psycho."

Everyone looked angered by this as some growled but Error and Nigthamre looked ready to commit mass genocide from their looks alone. Bardo looked away as she thought back to those days. Everyone believed the bitch to the high heavens while making Deva's life miserable. Many tried to pay for Deva's 'service' or even got to rape him when he said no but he scared them before they could even do anything. Deva never slept with anyone as he was a virgin through and through with everyone believing the opposite. The bitch got everyone wrapped around her fingers except for her, Deva, and Deva's parents.

"She was also a golddigger. She acted like a pure maiden around others with lots of money then left them when they held no use or money. I remember her even voicing at one point that she planned to get the Empress position from Nightmare or Dream when I or Bardo were near her."

Nightmare and Dream looked sick as they knew they held tons of power. They shivered in disgust at the thought of that as they were thankful they could feel emotions as it helped them spot those golddiggers from a mile away. Some of the others whispered among themselves of plans to 'deal' with the cousin. Blue was in the lead with Ink giving very interesting 'ideas'.

"Well, one day she was messing with me with others just laughing thinking I deserved it and Bardo showed up. Bardo was sick when she was younger with her parents naming me her godparent due to the fact I healed her."

Bardo smiled as she looked at Deva with a happy look. Deva smiled back as he found his sister in his past life that turned into a daughter figure this life. Everyone else was wondering what Bardo had that made her sick as Bardo was lively as any child her age.

"Well, my cousin tried to use her to further her own gain but Bardo saw her easily as who she was and didn't bother with her. That made my cousin decide to bully her."

"She regretted that after Deva found out! Deva got back at her while making all her lies come undone. Then, when she tried to get Deva beaten up by her 'lackeys' less just say that there's a reason Deva goes in the defense. Deva is insanely strong as he could easily lift about ten buildings up at once while also never letting anyone lose a drop of HP!"

Error and Nightmare looked proud with Dream and Ink looking shocked at the revelation. Fresh and Blue were whispering to each other about something while the Moon Empire looked proud to have Deva in their ranks. Outer was also looking impressed by the news. It was amazing how Deva was but he never liked to flaunt it as he rather has a more normal-paced lifestyle than have others try to control him.

"Yeah, everyone soon found out about her lies of which she was sent off to disciplinary school. Last I heard, she changed for the better while meeting this nice girl she later started to date. It was quite cute as my cousin plans to marry her."

"What's her name?"

Deva paused as he tilted his head while looking amused.

"Well, she was given the name Nara Kage."

Bardo stiffened her laughter as she remembered how she reacted to hearing that name. It was quite ironic if you remember a certain anime that almost everybody knew due to certain names.

"How about I tell all of you when Bardo tried to hatch a baby dragon?"

"We agreed to never bring that up!"

"You agreed, I nodded."

"Dad no!!!!"
