Chapter Twelve

It took barely any time before news of the god and Goddess' blessing reached the ears of the people.

Letters arrived praising me.

Surprisingly. But I didn't read most of them.

I was in town for once, with Liz and Liam. They wanted to go out for tea.

"So, blessing from a god and goddess?" Liz teased.

"It threw me for a loop. They said I was pure hearted."

"You are. Anyone can see that," She assured happily.

I chuckled a bit, taking a sip of my tea. Earl gray. Are we British? "People are fine with me again, with us a relief. Though, as always, people stare."

"You're a sight to behold," Liam joked.

I rolled my eyes as they both laughed.

"What a lovely trio you are!" A women giggled. We glanced over.

This was definitely another goddess. A bit better at blending in.

Like the other to, she had dark skin, but her skin was almost like dark chocolate. Smooth, unblemished, a small and wonderful Afro. Her garb was a modest white, and she adorned a golden necklace that fastened at the top of her neck and fell at her collarbones.

"Are all gods and goddess taking an interest in me because of Amor and Aria?"

The goddess was slightly surprised, but smiled, taking an empty seat.

"Observant I see. I'm Nia, goddess of time and rebirth. I actually blessed you before. And two other souls before they came here. This wonderful lady, and your cousin."

"You brought us here?"

"I'm drawn to pure hearted souls. And noble deeds. We gods and goddesses exist in multiple plains of realities with different names and voices. In your past life, I was the Greek god Hades. A male god. But I can shift forms like my siblings. You three... you were all a tragic tale. So I held each soul until all three of you could be together again. Which is why my brother took you past loves form, then your current ones."

"I was wondering about that."

"So you were reborn?" Liam asked us.

I nodded, "in our past life, we were teachers. I died by accident. Elizabeth was murdered. Devon died from an almost incurable disease."

"I'm glad I got to be in your next life then," Liam said thankfully. I smiled back at him happily,

"I come to bless you again. I bless your time my dear. All of you. This life of yours will not go wasted." She stood up and pressed kissed to the tops of our heads before vanishing in a splinter of light.

"The gods seems to like you," Liam teased.

"Appears that way." I felt my face heat up a bit, but recovered quickly. "But now you know. Devon, Elizabeth and I were reborn."

"It was quite a shock. Though, I'm not too upset about being reborn. Miss my smartphone though."

Liam chuckled, "you'll have to tell me all about your past life one day. For now, we have to pick up our suits and get Lady Elizabeth a new dress for the upcoming banquet."

"I absolutely hate going to those," I admitted with a huff of frustration.

"Which is understandable. Though, the emperor is upset with the crown prince, so it might be interesting."

It would be interesting. Best not to worry for now.

"Let's go pick up our suits."

We had paid upfront, so we just left and smiled on our way out.

The man who owned the shop was kind to us as we tried them on, making sure they fit right.

"You two look so handsome!" Liz gushed, giggling.

We laughed and looked at each other. We did look like an attractive pair.

His suit was a dark maroon. It made his hair and eyes stand out. Mind was simply black, making my eyes pop.

Both our suits were form fitted, making us look tall and slender.

Fit quite nice.

"You two seem to like your suits. I can have them sent to your manors."

"Much appreciated," I said politely. So we Changed into our casual wear once again and left to get Liz a dress.

We weren't there for long, she found a beautiful golden dress pretty quickly that was modest and mature. It actually didn't need to be tailored like it was a perfect fit.

She was the protagonist, so that made sense. It tracked.

After that, we saw her off to her manor before heading to my own. Liam was staying the night because he had a meeting the next morning. I did too. Since I was closer, it was easier to stay over at mine.

Devon had returned back home, but my siblings were down with school, so they were there to stay as they learned politics and socialized.

I never really was expected to since I already had the greatest connection... the prince. But I'm still not expected to, since my greatest connection was the emperor and Liam. So I was allowed to do as I pleased.

"Welcome home! How was your time out?" Rose greeted, James and Jackson following her.

"We got blessed by the goddess Nia," Liam joked.

"Why are you getting blessed so often big brother?" Jackson groaned out jokingly.

We all chuckled as my father walked in with a man besides him.

Okay, another god. Looked exactly like Amor but with short gray hair, braided into tight braids in a small ponytail. His eyes were almost milky white.

"Oh! The man I was looking for! My children are so enamored by you, I had to see for myself!" The god walked over, studying me. "A mighty pure soul indeed. Pleasure to meet you, I'm Unus, god of life and celebration. My wife will visit you soon, I'm sure."

"You are an attractive family," I admit.

He smiled kindly, "we mostly take shapes of those important to the viewer, but in front of the pure hearted, were able to be our true selves."

"Oh! That makes sense I suppose."

"It's much easier most times. Anyway, I came to bestow another blessing onto you. With my blessing, life will find its way to you." He grabbed my hand and kissed my knuckles, smiling as he vanished.

Everyone just sorta, looked at the spot the god was standing in. Liam pipped up, "good news is, if anyone tries to harm Isaiah, the gods will smite the attacker."

True. At this rate, I was going to be twenty times more op.

Oh well. I wasn't too afraid of dying anymore.

This world got stranger every day, but it was nice. The new things always made me brighten up.

"I think i just realized something," I said quietly. "It had slipped my mind, but for awhile now, my chest stopped hurting when Damon was mentioned. He hasn't actually crossed my mind in over a month."

Everyone around me was surprised, then bursted into bright smiles.

"I moved on!"

And they cheered before they crushed me into a hug.
